I believe people were told to drop the DRM subject. This isnt the thread for that.

I have exact same problem too. Im using Soft TH but BS still is still not displaying anything on my other screens.
-
Ok got the whole driver glitch worked out. The monitors are properly set up in Windows. I installed soft th and edited the camera file as posted above. Problem is, it still is not getting rendered on the 3 screens. When I look at the soft th config file, it properly recognizes the correct resolutions of all 3 displays and adds a custom resolution. However that resolution does not show up in BS video options. Using the regular 1920x1080 listed resloution only tries to display on my main screen.
-
thanks Ill give that a try.
-
Yes they have dual toe breaks but it isnt differential. They are either full on or full off.
-
one thing I forgot to mention is that my main screen is 16:9 and my mfds are 4:3. They are vga screens with a max resolution of 1024x768.
-
Ok thanks for the reply. I probably wont be able to mess with it more till the weekend and see what I can come up with. Ill email if I cant figure it out.

I hate to start another multi-monitor thread but I knew this day would come sooner or later. I just installed a new Nvidia 470GTX to be my primary display running at 1920x1280. I moved my Nvidia 280GTX to the secondary slot in my pc to run my 2 mfds at 1024x768. When I first fired up my pc the drivers set all displays as independant and they all expanded the windows desktop. I fired up BS and tried to run as display+shkval+abris but the sim crammed all 3 on my main display as it has done in the past. I tried several settings including both full screen and windowed although windowed still runs it in full screen and I cant seem to resize anything. I also tried setting the display to 1024x768 so that all screen resolutions matched up but that didnt work either. To make matters worse, I played with the Nvidia control panel settings and changed the mfd displays as clones. Now my too small monitors are acting as clones of the windows desktop but an extension to my main display. For whatever reason, the system is not letting me change anything anymore including restoring default settings. It just reverts back to the way it is now. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them but that didnt work either. So I seem to be stuck and I have a few questions. Im running Win 7 home premium x64. 1. When trying to setup multi-monitors in BS, can the main display be run at a higher or different resolution than the other monitors? If so, how do you set that up? Since the resolution settings in BS only give you certain settings, how do you set up different views using different resolutions? 2. Does BS have to be run in windowed mode or can it be run full screen? How do you resize the different camera views? 3. How do you get the abris and shkval cameras to be moved to the other screens instead of being squished onto the main display? 4. How can I reset my 2 smaller displays to not clone each other since the Nvidia control panel no longer seems to respond to changes I try to make in the multi-monitor setup menu?

Did you even bother to watch the previously attached clip? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7i-XqRyjz8 It not only proves everything that has been previously claimed and complained about by several people including myself, but it proves our point that the maverick behavior in this sim is not realistically portraid and there are serious problems with it that make this aircraft basically a waiste of time. Slewing is one out of several problems with it. You play A-10 for more than 1 or 2 missions and than you can come back and say there is nothing wrong with it. Tracks have been posted, we have proved our points, and at this point, I feel that I could post more tracks and you will continue to deny there is a problem. I can tell you for myself that in real life, if I wasnt sure I stood even a small chance of taking out a short range sam before my own weapons could hit it, no way would put my own life on the line. I'll take my chances with Russian aircraft built with less technological advantages that can get the job done. Dont be naive.
-
I thought about that, but that aircraft never appealed to me. Ancient design and russian cockpit lol. Blackshark either, but I play it to get a decent flight experience out of it and because its challenging. I need to find a decent BS server because Ive only been on 104th and its pretty much pointless when it comes to survivability in a chopper. I tried flying A-10 on there and was told to turn off my ECM when I was going up against a sam because a fighter jock wanted to shoot me down.

Im really peaved that noone in the ED loop will acknowledge that there is something wrong with it. Its all just user error and "modified to reflect accuracy", and even with posted tracks as proof, they still wont admit it. And Im sorry but saying use the mouse is a fix to the slewing problem and therefore it doesnt need their attention is plain and simple bull**** to avoid taking responsibility. I generally respect the ED tester's opinions and experience, but I'd agree that a certain person's remarks in this thread is plain and simple denial of problems or acceptance that actual real life behaviours are not necessarily accurately portraid in the sim and that everyone's understanding of the issue beside's his own is incorrect. I think that most people here would agree that if the real thing behaved as badly as it does in the sim, the A-10 would not be a weapon of choice in a CAS combat situation. Shorad may well indeed be harder to lock than a tank, but it does not explain the combined behaviours in FC2 version of the maverick system. Lets all pray that DCS:A-10 fixes these issues. While Im aware of the fidelity differences, I think most of us will agree that the same bugs in some of their titles tend to find themselves in other titles as well unless they are specifically addressed.
-
To show you the fault as it appears for us. To show you that the seeker will not lock up a Tunguska at 2 nm when there are no other viable heat sources in the seeker's field of view. Clearly you think all of EDs customers are wrong and are unwilling to read and re-read the posts on this thread until to understand what they are trying to communicate to ED. Perhaps a video of the problem might help show you the issue, or give you an opportunity to state what you believe we're doing wrong (although I think even you finally might become convinced of the former). [reply to another poster] BMPs are nothing. The ground fire from BTRs in this game is far worse. I fear BTRs far more than Shilka - there is something very wrong with that picture. Thanks Moa. Im glad someone else recognizes the issues Ive seen and is standing up for it. I bought FC2 specifically to fly the A-10 and I find it very frustrating and mostly pointless to try flying. Mavs are total joke here except against tanks. BTRs are too good. Ill gun run shilkas with decent success, but against a BTR 95% Im dead before Im in range. And at least in campaign, your AI wingman is useless since he always dumps his ammo at the first sign of a sam launch.

I had this happen too twice in a row on the 104th server so I dont play online now. The first time I never saw what got me. The second time I managed to see a sam in my shkval lift off before it hit, but it was so far away that even in shkval the only thing I was able to see was a smoke trail. The offending vehicle was too far to even be in view. The way I see it, KA-50 multiplay is not possible, at least not on that server. I havent tried any other server.

If your creative enough you can probably find a way to do it

Trigger has cnc machining resources to make customized stuff like that. You wont find anything like that sold in a store.

Just installed BS on new PC - can't find registration key?
sweinhart3 replied to senn's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
If ordered from DCS website, the key is stored in your profile so you cant lose it. -
Usually statements like those mean sometime in the 4th quarter. Im in no way suggesting what ED intends to do, but most companies that say that typically release in the November timeframe to get the Christmas sales. Of course, if the sim isnt done its not gonna get released. IMO, from the sounds of what still needs to be completed, there is still a lot of work left and Im not holding my breath. Someone mentioned DX11 causing problems, many of the pics are 'WIP' suggesting the end product may be different, and a lot of features still seem to be unknown. Or at least they arent telling us. Already being mid September, a lot of work would have to be crammed in a short period to make a 2010 release.

Got it all fiberglassed today. If that document is anything what the real A10 uses then I made the dang thing 1/2" too big around. Too late now; Im not gonna redo it. Materials cost me $50. Still should be better than using the keyboard but it not being according to spec is gonna bug the crap out of me.
-
Maybe a little bit of story line would be nice. The way the Deployment campaign in KA-50 was done, I enjoyed that. There was a story behind it and it felt more interactive. The GOW campaigns were just a bunch of missions. AI no longer talks to you and there was no real story line or sense of what was going on in the war.

they dont have one listed

I know Sobek. Not trying to imply they are. I just think the current iteration portraid in FC2 needs a lot of improvement if it is to be used in DCS as an effective weapon.

Building a working pit is never cheap. But you may want to check out Opencockpits web site. Their stuff is designed for MSFS and probably cheaper than you will find on most other sites that sell custom FS products.

Been such a long time since I used XP at home I forgot it didnt have UAC.

Well tbh, you seem pretty demanding so Im not surprised you havent had much response. Second, there arent a lot of different software stores in the US. You already covered the main ones and its highly unlikely a mom and pop store will carry it. Third, limiting yourself to people that live in New York and hang out in this forum arent exactly big odds in your favor. Im sorry to say, but if you refuse to download the game and burn it to dvd, you may well be SOL. I myself dont live in New York but Im not familiar with any stores here that sell it either. I saw it once on Best Buy's shelf but they apparently dont carry it anymore.
