As I fly with AG-51 now, can't wait to get these skins man. Loving the pilot and Rio details with the suit and helmet. Guy we got doing them is a tool.

When I loaded mine, I downsized to 512 x 512 and when I placed in the proper slot, in kinda looked like it filled the area out. I doubt it did, but all of my skins have loaded perfectly at different zoom levels,

I feel ya on the GIMP. I couldn't take it anymore and just got the $10 Photoshop. Made life so much easier as I can just layer in all my squad mate with their own layers and then save as a PSD, then save again as DDS in the CoreMods folder. I shaved a bunch of time of their custom skins that way. With the Intel plugin I was able to finish up all our skins in like 2 hrs.

Oh no I am hoping the same thing. I've got too many squad mates for it not too work.

My wonder is if it is split into multiple parts. It is a pretty distinct piece at least to me on the bird. Again, thank you for taking the time to help.

Sorry if this has been talked about before but I couldn't find anything on it anywhere. I can't find the speed brake to edit it in the templates. I think I am just over looking it but which template is it located on? But that being said, is it possible to edit the underside so when deployed it would show the design? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From my understanding, and from what Cobra said in the F-14 Skinners Thread it is not possible with the current texture templates. They are however trying to figure out how to do it. No futher updates that I have seen though.

I use GIMP to edit the F-14 for my flight squadron. There is a script that will make it work. It was on this forum though I can' remember what page.

Yea, a Corsair would get me in WWII planes, which would mean Normandy map and WWII Assets. Would love to see a Wasp or Yorktown.

I find it real sad that the last line has to be in these kinda comments. I miss the days when we could be dicks to each other without someone being offended.

Think of it like this. When you haul a trailer behind a truck, you try to place the load closer to the truck, ideally slightly ahead of the axle. Now think of where the F-14 is heavy. That's right, the engines, which a slightly behind the rear wheels. Once the wobble starts, there is nothing that can be done about. You have to align yourself properly down the track or you will wobble like crazy. Here is a vid to show you what I am talking about. Just a thought.

At this point, I wish NineLine would just lock this thread and ban all further F-14 release threads not started by and LOCKED TO, ED or HB. It's been real guys, it's even been a little fun, but this is literally going nowhere.

Sometimes you lose fans/customers. Sometimes fans/customers have unrealistic expectations. I mean you just can't ever tell these days can you? March 20 is a little ways off so no need to hurry and rush anything. Not sure what is so hard to understand about that. Must be cause I'm a fanboy. :doh:

I have waited plenty for games in the past, 5 years for God of War, 9 months for Fallout. Jesus, I really hope none of you are Square Enix fans cause those crazies can't hit an original release date to save their lives. Here is the thing though.....those were GAMES, not simulations. I totally get people being upset about not getting the Tomcat yet, but some of these posts....... just WOW. I'm new to DCS so I may not know all the details of past module releases. That being said, HB still has almost a month to deliver (if ED gives the green light). I want the best product that these guys can give us upon release, if that means I wait till 21 March, then I wait till 21 March. That being said I understand that game design and simulation functionality are not things easily done or finished fast. You can called me a fan boy or what not, makes no difference to me. I have invested hundreds of dollars and many hours into DCS, as have many, many of you. I think that kind of makes us all fan boys (or girls) and while we SHOULD demand that best, we have to understand that GETTING the best takes time. Often more then we as users and the devs would like. Do your thing HeatBlur, I'll be waiting and reading up.

yea, I started using this to get used to throttle control and being the the proper position. Only problem is sometimes the tanker will turn during the orbit, this will cause your probe to raise or lower just enough that you will have to turn the BALT off. It's great for getting the hang of it though.

Yea that last video he put up on YouTube with him and Jabbers was really interesting. Can't wait to get my hands on that bird.

I feel your pain. I just got the A-10C last night and was trying to do the training sessions, but it would hit a point when the instructor said press the Space bar to continue and nothing would happen. I checked the controls and don't have it assigned to anything. Second question, my joystick constantly moves forward and back, like it is adjusting the trim, without me even touching my joystick. Could this be causing the issue and not letting the space bar go thru?
