  1. Starten kannst du alles. Was das Ding dann macht ist die Frage. Du brauchst halt das entsprechende interface und die Systeme um mit der Rakate kommunizieren zu können, mal abgesehen von dem Radar. In so fern ist das eigentlich komplett witzlos, da du dir, solltest du ne Boden-Boden Waffe basteln wollen, billiger dran bist, wenn du das Ding einfach komplett selbst baust. Für Boden Luft ist das wie gesagt auch komplett sinnbefreit, aus oben genannten Gründen. Klar kann man alles von allem irgendwie starten, aber mehr eben auch nicht. Und zu erwarten dass das Ding dann mehr macht als grade aus zu fliegen, wenn überhaupt, ist einfach illusorisch.

  4. Please don't report me to my local police for using a stick that has more hats than the real one. God damn dude it's a video game. Who is cheating? The dude clicking switches with his mouse or the one with the home pit. Sealy this is the stupidest thing I have read today. You do have to realize that we as gamers have to compensate for not sitting in the real deal.
  5. For me the performance just is not there yet in VR. But that will change in one or two gpu generations imho. I am currently using a 3440x1440 ultrawide and am able to keep the frames between 60 and 70 with a 1080ti. Going to VR with the requirement of being able to read everything within the cockpit in a clear way would require me to bump up my specs heavily while still ending up nowhere near the framerates I am used to. So ye it is going to be vr for me sometime in the future but not now
  6. What hat do you mean? You can change the Master Mode to behave like an actual POV hat by pressing it down for 0.3s To be exact, pressing it for 0.3s changes it from relative axis mode to POV mode or vise versa, depending on the current mode. The Gate Cont (the round one on the left) is basicly a normal analog stick by default and needs to be reconfigured via software. Since you said fast and sensitive I suspect you are either trying to use the gate cont without reconfig or the master mode in relative axis mode, since POV hats are digital and dont have a sensitivity.
  7. Got my gunfighter with mcg pro yesterday, after waiting 6 months (ok not really, it was 2 days short of 6 months to be fair) and yea, love it. It is really noticable that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into making this stick. The ergonomics are very good, there are a few things I need to get used to, but thats expected. What surprised me the most is the Master Mode hat. I was very sceptical about using it as a POV hat, but due to the shape of the hat and it moving in a rectangular box it is very easy to reliably hit the POV hat positions. Also the trigger point combined with the hat hitting a flat surface gives a very good (non tactile however) feedback. However the MANVR hat was mounted to the stick in the wrong orientation, resulting in a very mushy feel, but that was a easy thing to fix. It is also very nice that all of the 4 way hats are different casts, made for their specific position and the resulting ergonomic needs. But please, for the love of god if you are willing to go that far, removing the flash from the buttons would be a nice touch and suit the premium aspect of the stick :music_whistling: The base plate could be a tiny bit wider imho, with 30 springs it is right at the edge of tipping over. And either a mark on the mechanical parts or a line in the quick guide to when the dampers are fully loosened would be very nice. It took me a couple of hours to figure out that the damper on my pitch axis was still a bit too tight and that this was the reason the stick would not reliably recenter itself. Yes, the manual states left = more lose, but does not tell me when it is fully loose. So I think a line like "until flush with that survace" or a mark on the parts would be a nice addition for the overly cautios folks like me :D If I could add one thing it would be a changable stop for the brake lever. Its absolutely awesome that you can not only change it between axis and button but also map both at the same time. However there is no hardware indication of when you will hit the button. But that is absolutely minor and more of a testiment to the power the software has. tldr like it so far, it seems to be awesome.

  9. Due to the metal is better because it is metal and the more heavier equals more better retardation of a large portion of potential buyers this is a reasonable decision.

  13. Play against humans. DCS doesnt have particular good AI and solves this problem by making the AI cheat a little bit. Also start at a lower level. Start doing 1v1 fights with SARHs, like a Hornet with Aim7s against a Mig29 with Rs for example, then work your way up to fox 3s and then to multiple targets. Making the groups large doesnt help you learn anything imho. Try to look into manouvers like the F-pole or notching/beaming aswell. Esp. in a fox1 1v1 F-pole is key and king.

  15. Can we please step back the "other forum bad" narrative a little bit? Fact is every group of humans interacting with each other has its own number of token special snowflakes. Pretending one community has a moral high ground over the other one does not help anyone. The only thing it will do is amplify the hostility (assuming there actually is one, besides the token snowflakes) and widening the gap. Please dont do that. That there are numerous deleted messages in this topic kinda makes my point I guess. If any community was perfect it wouldnt have deleted posts.... Also I am sure that the moderators of the community in question will take action and do everything they can to restore order.
  16. Dont get me wrong here, I dont want to defend any kind of toxic behaviour, esp. not personal insults and threats. But on the other hand I would like to add that treating each other with respect is something that requires both sides to do exactly that.
  17. I mean I expect that older products, that are still being sold for full price btw, will be maintained and kept in a "study simulation" state of playable. Not doing that while constantly pumping out EA and beta content for sweet sweet preorder money would leave a very bitter taste and a certain impression would form.

"That is not acceptable" are the words my friend is going to use when I have to tell him, that he, in order for him to play with me, has to buy a carrier, even if he has no intend of using it, or his modules are not even able to land on it. Just because the server has this module now. That Wags, that is clearly not acceotable and openly anti consumer.
  19. I dont want the carrier for free. I dont see myself buying it, when I, as a MP player wont use it anyways, because servers and communities are not able to use it, without losing most of their playerbase.
  20. I dont get how creating a module that repells potential buyers due to how it will be implemented is a necessity. Also why is this a necessity? Is ED broke? What will happen when ED goes bankrupt, will I still be able to play? Please dont go for the "if you want to support us and we need your support oh so much, so buy it because we need it" way of handeling negative feedback.
  21. Ofc ED is a company and the goal is to make money. With that being said I dont think raising the cost is not a smart decision either, as I am convinced that it will become harder and harder over time to get people into the game by adding more and more cost to get going. This might not be true for SP but for MP it sure is. Also having an awesome carrier adds a huge WOW factor to the game and creates an incentive for people to buy carrier based modules. With more and more carrier based planes coming to the game I have a hard time seeing how a free carrier would be a waste of dev time. But my main issue is the community split via paywall. This alone makes the module less attractive as it will be ruled out by the major communities, due to the potential loss of players. If the communities I fly with wont ever use it, because they cant, why should I buy it? Thats the question that needs to be answered in a way that goes byond dont like it dont buy it. The dont like it dont buy it kind of advertisment has worked out very poor for other games in the recent past, just saying. Also I would like to know where the finish line for this kind of DLC is. Are there any more paywalled assets planned? Will those be mandatory in the same way as the carrier is for mp aswell?
  22. Wouldnt it be possible for the actual carrier to deny non buyers the landing and simply have no wires ready whenever a non buyer tries to land?

  25. So basicly you dont understand why people who have no interest in doing carrier ops have an issue with having to buy a carrier DLC in order to be able to play with their friends? You dont understand why splitting a, in comparison, small community forcefully into more and more smaller people based on their willingness to spend money on things that they dont even use is bad? I mean even EA doesnt paywall maps anymore due to large games like battlefield running into issues by paywall splitting the community. The easy solution, and that solution was given 123423 times allready would be server licencing. But forcing someone to spend money on something he wont ever use just so he can participate is a very bad move and will most likely result in a comercial failure due to overall lack of interest. But I mean, the obvious solution would be a battle royale mode :megalol:
