  1. Yeah. But the Sniper is just an addition to the F16 compared to the FLCS and the flight model thats always present. Also the slow speed handling characteristics which still produce oscillations at some configurations is something that could be related to the FLCS and should be looked at again. Not sure how many efforts to improve the flight model will be done after early access.
  2. Everything concerning the FLCS should be looked at while DCS F16 is coming closer to the end of early access.
  3. That implies two possibilities. ED wants to have exclusively the only F16 for DCS, although they dont want to develop F16 variants. Or ED does not care to have a second F16 by a third party developer. That would be the first step. Hopefully sales of the MSFS F16A are good, so Heatblur considers to bring it to DCS. But on the other hand, HB develops the 3d model for Indiafoxtecho. The follow up question is, does HB even have the rights to use it as their own? Many questions for a desirable DCS product, many people would like to have on cold war themed servers. Fingers crossed for it to happen.
  4. I would even help to start a crowdfunding to get an F16 A. ED stated they wont develop any F16 variants.
  5. Yeah. How to bring attention to the slow speed handling and energy retention of the DCS F16 while people still flying circles for Tacview and complain about + or - 0,2 degrees per second turn rate difference to the EM diagrams, that made them lose the fight against a jet with a 3 deg / sec advantage.
  6. Although I said I would not investigate. Seems like the stutters getting worse each time you visit the menu when connected to a server. Might be placebo, but it seems to help if I respawn with the keybind ( its per jet and called: Get new plane - respawn) instead of using the menu to respawn. EDIT: Forget it. Its a placebo. I spawned into a stuttery mess on the server right from the beginning. Also reverted to the previous Geforce drivers did not help. Unplugging the mouse as some people say it causes stutter did not help either. To sum it up: I really give up now.
  7. Yeah stutters are back. I had good results using process lasso to disable E Cores and Hyperthreading for DCS but after the latest updates its just micro sutters again. Also not related to be close to other aircraft that can trigger LOD switching. Its something new now. I give up because I dont have the nerves to investigate again in it.
  8. @Deltaalphalima1For the Force sensor TDC slew upgrade for WW F16EX Throttle your website says that youre awaiting more stock for July 2024. Did I already miss it, and its sold out again, or are you still waiting for it to be produced?
  9. Same here. Could not identify it. Only happened in Afghanistan though. Turned the radio down completely, which works if you are flying as singleton on the map. But together with teammates its not a solution. I thought it was a multiplayer issue only. Apparently not.
  10. Thanks for the info. While I am waiting for my order to process, the only thing that worries me comparing the VR1 to the Aero is the front heaviness for dogfighting. Checking six and the headset will fall off is my biggest concern with it. Also I purchased without MR cameras as I hope to save weight.
  11. So what are the current recommended steps to get rid of this FC3 install. I am stuck in a loop too. I click install. It installs something with 7.9 MB. And the message of pending modules is still in game. The launcher shows me 5 available installs, that are invisible.
  12. I can not get the interactive control cross in VR. The green one to control the carrier if I create an own mission with LSO slot in VR. Works fine in 2D. But no cross in VR. null
  13. Works just fine on my DCS installation. Post a track as we dont know what you did before you started the video recording. As a quick test. Start the F16 Caucasus free flight mission. Dont touch DGFT or MSL override switch. Just press AA or AG. Works on my end.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. So unfortunately no trolling of unware F18 or F14 players on MP servers. Commanding a turn of the supercarrier is awesome. Has a better turn rate than an F16. I wonder if the jets will fall off the deck
  15. Possibly ordering is not open for public. I made an order reservation months ago
  16. Currently owning the Aero. Not disappointed with it though. Ordered the Somnium VR1 anyway. The only thing that concerns me for DCS is the Somnium being front heavy, which can be an issue when dogfighting.... we will see....
  17. I works like when you spawn in and the SAM site is not hidden for you by the mission maker or by mission setup, it will show on the HSD. Create a simple single player mission. Put a player F16 and a SAM site only on the map. The sam site will show in the jet. So when you spawn in the jet the thread ring is set for you. The threat steerpoint we currently dont have is a separate thing. But whats creating the thread symbols on the HSD for you at the moment is just DCS magic at the moment.
  18. Thats 7 months old posts...
  19. There is a current bug that keeps the symbology from the previous released weapon. There is an entire thread about it. But the easiest way to fix or to check if the "low" is a remainder from a CCRP drop for example: On the ICP press AG once, to go back to NAV. Then press AG again and see if "low" disappeared. If not, "low" refers in deed to the HARM sub mode and it should be considered as bug.
  20. As far as I can remember you can start up the engine while GPS is aligning, if you want to save time by overlapping processes. I have not tried it recently if its still the case tho. But throttling up with engaged brakes will make the jet drop the nose slightly which will definitely throw off the GPS alignment.
  21. Why shouldnt it work on W11? Works great. You can use the trial version and see if it helps. From my further investigations it seems to help on most of the intel users with stutters. Not sure about AMD.
  22. So this is the millionth time people flew circles for Tacview and look at the STR and say, wow now I know why I could not win. I just could not sit here at STR and wait for the bandit to slide into my HUD. But STR is only a part of how good a jet is. What about drag, drag at high AOA, energy retention, thrust to weight ratio? If you bleed down your energy and regain it quicker than the bandit, that is what makes the difference at comparable STR. For the guys being around here longer. Remember the first flight model the F16 was released with? There was never something wrong with STR. But once you bled down your energy, you literally could not get it back when exceeding 3G at slow speeds at high AOA. So you were stuck at low speed or you'd have to completely unload and fly straight and level, which is not desirable in a dogfight. Once that drag was adjusted, the DCS F16 instantly became a better dogfighter. Without changing anything at the STR. What that proves is that only STR is not an indicator how good a flight model is. If something else is off, the STR can be spot on and it just means not much in terms of over all jet performance.
  23. Why is it always that STR is investigated and questioned. Nobody seriously doing guns only dogfighting just sits at perfect rate speed and waits 1500 degrees to score a win although you start to see losing cues, to get shot down after 3 circles. It is drag and energy retention up to rate speed again that often makes a win or a lose. In the F18 you'd just bleed your airspeed, because you gain it back while you still point your nose at the bandit all the time. How is that measured and compared to real life jet performance?
  24. Where is the performance data from the 9,5 G regime when pulling the paddle coming from?
