I have given you the answer as to what can constitue Intellectual property, it doesn't matter the specifics, because Intellectual property, had you bothered doing research, can be ANY tool used in development, the accusation from ED is that their IP was abused, they really don't have to break it down to spedifically what it was to you, me, or any other Tom, Dick or Harry other then to the legal SME's who deal with such cases. Like I said, you're not remotely interested, you're merely looking at finger pointing and blame game, which is fine, as neither side are without criticism

Context is everything, you should include the whole paragraph, and not be selective. Both parties need to be taken around the back of the bike sheds and have their bollocks kicked right up their backs becasue neither gets a pass on this situation. With regards to the Tucano, if you're using your prime customers IP without their permission, or knowledge to enter into a new venture, Government, or commercial, that's as sneaky and shady as it comes.. For context, I work in a company as a subcontractor/self employed, recently other sub contractors used the companys SOP's and client database in order to start their own company in direct competition, and conflict of interests, where they also approached the main principal client with a view to undercut them, and take the contract from them......they used company property (laptops) to create their own company, using the employing company's software, and structure, right down to the same file structure... Guess what happened? All those involved, and who were associated with the new venture were terminated effective immediately, no if's or buts, 8 guys sacked for a dick move, 5 because they were associated with the LinkedIn profile. Now explain to me how what they did wasn't sneaky or shady?

Semantics really, as store credit is a recognised type of refund in some places.
-
I'm not going to entertain you, as you know full well what the entire situation is about.
-
People should be grateful they're getting store credit to begin with, ED were under zero obligation to do so, and every refund will have an impact on the royalties that should go to Razbam.. Imagine if Razbam Corporate management hadn't tried to do the sneaky? I highly doubt their F15E devs were remotely aware of what they were doing, and why would they? They're 3rd party contractors, imagine if there was transparency within that organisation too ?
-
Yeah, I use my Orion 2 throttle as well, it just lacks that "feel" but it works
-
What you think you know, you don't. Do you not think that all the knee jerk reactions of demanding refunds is actually hurting razbam more than it is ED? It's less profits when the situation is resolved, and it will be resolved one way or the other, it's not going to remain a status quo..

If this was your business, you'd have a completely different perspective. Using another companys IP without their knowledge in order to futher their own financial gains is also theft.

I'm not going to lie, the AV8B is good, even in its current state, it's my 3rd go to module
-
I'm the same as yourself, out of all the modules, the F18, and F15E are my main choice of platform, and where I get my most enjoyment. There's really no comparison between Warthunder, and DCS, one offers more realistic flight dynamics, the other is more arcadish, I do see where you're coming from, it would actually be intersting to see the breakdown of DCS players in terms of Modules owned, and actually modules flown regularly. I bought the Apache on day 1, and of all the modules owned, this was my biggest regret, the learning curve was massive, and without proper controls, like a collective, it was that "magpie" syndrome, I think since purchasing, I've logged no more than 10 hours... that's definately not good value for money, Casmo's vidoes played a huge part in the lure of getting it too, I'm going to blame him !!

I have a great idea, why don't ED just simply stop working on the FREE core game completely, and forget all the fancy stuff like Vulkan, optimisation and fine tuning under the bonnet, so that no more 3rd party modules get let broken. Sounds fair right? Nah, because the expectations of the consumer exceed the reality of the modules at times, they see a progress report and a choreographed video, and be like "Take my money already" and/or "release it already" and the hype soon dissapears because their expecations are not met, and then the whining starts, no different from every other game out there. Then you have the module junkies, and I'm one of them, I see the same cool video, and I'm like, I have to have that, fly around for a few hours, don't bother reading the manual, or learning the weapons platforms, because I just want to "f**k shyt up" with some hardware, and then hardly fly it again, for me, I rarely tough the Hind or the Apache, but I knew I just had to have them, not becasue I wanted to support ED, it was like a magpie with a shiny object. The hop right in crowd like me never mind learning anything about the intricasies of the correct fuses, its "get in there and ruin some bad guys days" ...and then when something breaks, we bitch and whine becasue expectations are higher than reality. Then you have the hard core, who are few and far between, whom read the manuals front to back, day and night, use the NATOPs manuals, probably fly in a real flight suit too, who concentrate on a couple of modules at the most, learning every nut and bolt, and treat their airframe better than their wifes and partners...they have hundreds of hours in their dedicated airframes, and when soemthing breaks, they are equally as frustrated, as they've put serious time into learing that airframe, and I take my hats off to those guys. Nobody here should want to see either party fail in any way, I love my Harrier, it's great fun, as is the F15E, as are pretty much all the current range of airframes, we should consider ourselves lucky that we do have such variety to enjoy, all the bitching and whining is just that, and it wastes your valuable time stressing about stuff that's out of anyone here's control
-
How many real F15E's have you flown to be able to make a comparison that the module in its current form isn't still very good fun to fly? it still does EVERYTHING that it does from the day it was released, so whats not to enjoy in its current state?

Arg 50 hides the pilot, it's easy enough to do, set the invisibility at 50, and he/they will dissapear

I think I'm going to bin the lights along the superstructure, as they shine through the model, into the sea, and I'm not happy with the way they look, and I don't know enough to be able to make "soft lighting" I will also revert back to what crazy eddie has said, and keep the basic Nav light system, with coloured lights on the mast, although I do believe there's a light set for launching and recovering aircraft which I may do ..
-
It can be as kool as you want, this is about the A7E the SLUF fans don't care about rotaries
-
Pretty poor anology, the F15E has the engine, it has the wheels, all it's lacking is the ehnacement addons. It's excatly as described upon release... the exact same as if you went to a car dealer and bought a car. IF the car dealer stated that over a period of time, you'd get a spoiler, low profile tires, fine tuned engine, and have the car wrapped, but the car dealer has temporary stopped providing any sort of service, then youd be more accurate.

Removed the Nav lights from the rear mast, and removed a couple of night time red lights on the flight deck. The picture attached is to showcase the CIWS work well, and the night lighting has been subdued, I might make a full set of red low level lighting when the ships doing air operations. I'm not sure the distance from the ship that the disembarking helo closes down the flight operations (fences and rails/flight deck lights)

I purchased it from CGTrader, it's quite detailed, and quite high poly too, but for aesthetics it works quite well. No intentions at the moment to do so, as it's in a much larger personal modern Helo pack that I've created.

With regards to the Seadarts, Beldin had a missile configuration using the SMR2 performance, but used the Seadart model, it's accurate, it's deadly accurate, compared to what it was, detonating 4.3NM from the ship, I might just keep it even if it's less realistic, but it's operational.

Some lowlight shots, first time I've tried to put flood/decklights onto a vessel, not sure if they will stay or not, as I feel they need to feel and look "softer"

I have been working on the Type 42 this week, and tidying up a few things, and trying to add a few more things, like working lights etc...and for this I need some help. Does anyone know how the Navigation lights are configured on the Type 42 ? I've also had a wee setback, after editing the damage parts on the lua, for some strange reason, the Seadarts have stopped firing, I think I might know why, and it's related to the damage parts, my laptop crashed so wasn't able to use Ctrl Z to undo, I might have a copy of the old lua elsewhere. Seadarts - semi working, however they detonate at around 4 miles from launch, and don't seem to track, before I borked it, they were able to track up to 15 -20NM from the ship and have about a 30/70 success hit rate

I'll have a bowl of the self entitlement you've scoffed please. You do realise that when you point a finger at someone, there's 3 pointing right back at you? ED's current responsibilites are to the core game, and their modules, it has, and always will be down to the 3rd party developers to then bring their modules inline with the core game. You know the situation with regards to the F15E, and if you don't, which I know full well you are, then you've been living under a rock.
