im in settings now, res per eye. if i set the index native res of 1440x1600 its only showing 50% why is that?

where do i see the cpu and gpu usage?

So start dcs and alt tab to steam vr then go into per app settings?. Im getting contradictory answers about wether they adjust the same thing or not. Do they shift the load betee cpu and gpu or not?

So leaving pd on 1.0 instead of 1.2 and setting ss to 120% will hafe the same graphical effect but shift the load from the cou to the gpu?

when watercooling and overclocking does it matter what version of a card you get? do they mostly have the same headroom for oc or are the different oc versions prebinned?

when i use cockpit lights with the index, the lights only appear in 1 eye, unpleasent to see

are they the same setting just on a different scale?

hows that done now? synchronization has been a thing in electronics forever

il be getting a 5900x when therye out, im building an entire system from the ground up and selling my existing setup iv got 32gb of viper 4400mhz sat in boxes ready to go

so they have to manually assign tasks to seperate cores? if somebody could automate that then surely it would be a HUGE breakthrough performance wise??

whats the problem when it comes to multicore cpus? why dont games spread workloads around the cores?

ive used a warbird with 100mm extension for months. no problems at all with it. the main chassis appears to a milled from a single block of ali. VERY robust mechanically. the mongoose base gives a bit more adjustability really but thats about all ive noticed. both are top draw mechanically

i cant comment on vkb because ive never used 1. as for virpil i have 2 warbird bases and a mongoose cm2 base. mechanically theyre both fantastic, VERY well built and great to use, they do however have 1 achilles heal and thats the cable that runs from the stick to the main pcb in the base. all 3 of mine have gone, their customer service is good though and theyve sent me new cables every time without issue. compared to the warthog base theyre amazing and i highly recommend them

no garauntee of that overclocked or in dcs, im going for that to upgrade from a 7700k though

im no fan boi,m over the years iv had 386, 486, cyrix (yes really haha) athlon, 920 (i think), 3770k at 4.8 and atm i have a 7700k at 5ghz. im doing a build from the ground up now and ive gone for x570 and 5900x, 32gb 4400mhz ram, undecided on gfx card yet, im tentatively awaiting the 20gb 3080. see what thats like

i dontr know what im doing with teh calcs. my current and next pc will have cpu and gpu watercooled so alot of the heat is going out of the case theres a block you can get to watercool the ram. are they worth it?

any chance we could have the crew hang 1 arm out of the pit when taxiing with wings swept and canopy open?? im serious btw lol

why is that? iv bought 4 x8gb 4400 cl 19 kits for my new build, you reckon i should aim get it running 3800 at cl16?. ps il probably end up with a decent x570 mobo IF the new amd cpus beat intels for dcs

i tested it loaded in 1k foot increments from 30-40k at mach 0.72. 35k was the sweetspot for fuel usage in them test conditions ps with no stores and little fuel you can EASILY cruiser at 1500pph per motor at 35k

i havnt even decided what im getting yet, let alone attempted to buy 1 :lol:

not sure why, thats the cruise altitude so surely thats the best fuel/speed ratio?? itl use less fuel higher because theres less air (so less fuel needed for the same a/f ratio) but the power will drop off for the same reason
