  1. A direct translation from the German "Segelflugzeug". :smartass:
  2. Still on track for the July 1st preorder?
  3. Do dual throttles always provide indentical output in real life? I'm just curious.
  4. But the public part is always installed... as part of the core game. Either view the core game as a mod, or separate the core from the mods. So really only the core and installed mods are updated. ;)
  5. I know why I put my recreation zone into the cellar. 35° outside, 22° in here -> no need for an air condition.
  6. Only installed modules are updated. Your 11GB update was mostly the Nevada map. I have all maps and the update was ~42GB.
  7. In "c:\users\yourusername\saved games" you have the DCS folder(s) you need to copy over.
  8. If you don't have the time to learn the Viggen, get FC3 instead. There's a red flag payware campaign for the F-15 in Nevada, so maybe NTTR and this campaign would make for a nice complement for FC3.
  9. I would suggest you buy and learn the F/A-18 (which has lots of training missions) as prep for the F-16. The Viper should not be more taxing in VR than the Hornet, so you can check the performance as well.
  10. That's a very good computer and will run DCS as best as can be on current hardware.
  11. I don't use TARGET with my Wathog HOTAS :smartass: But it's extremely powerful and can do things like on/off commands for the throttle switches, that you can't do in DCS without altering game files.
  12. Campaigns for planes with fixed radio frequencies should work better then. Spitfire and Mustang, F-86, Mig-15, Mig-19, etc. In A-10C campaigns with lots of frequency changes (hi Baltic!) I preload the frequencies and then just switch the preselects. Another "trick" is to use the fixed views and to set one of them to the radios; then it's quite simple to dial the frequencies in (on autopilot or active pause).
  13. Stratos, any news on the ndb frequency handle? Is this working correctly now?
  14. Should I receive mine before any other reviews show up, I'll give a verdict.
  15. When I deactivated my modules for the i9 upgrade I searched for dcs_protect.exe in the mods folder and was very surprised to only find A-10C, KA-50 and FC3 still used Starforce. Even the Huey is migrated to the new copy protection scheme and that one should be the oldest of the remaining lot.
  16. I'm excited about the whole setup!
  17. There is a youtube video showing the prototype stick and throttle. First post in here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235433
  18. I concur. Only when it doesn't want to work anymore, it's sometimes really difficult to fix it. For my Windows machine I use AOMEI which works pretty well.
  19. Run a traceroute (google how to do that, if you don't know) and show it to them. It should be clear then where the connection stops.
  20. The modules use DLLs developed by the module maker. They can do everything in there.
  21. Yep. By chance. :music_whistling:
  22. I can play FPS games, drive in a car, fly in a real plane without any problems; but I couldn't overcome VR sickness when I tried the O+ for 4 weeks. When I started to feel nauseated when only thinking about flying in VR, I decided to sell the gear.
  23. Ich hab mir dafür Netlimiter (https://www.netlimiter.com/) gekauft. Die iCloud, Dropbox, DCS, TESO, IL2: alle wollen die gesamte Bandbreite haben. Aber nicht mit mir :smartass:
  24. Theoretically you can, but you would need to fly instant action or create your own missions. I am not sure if the a-10 can use the airfields on this map.
