You will never know until you gave it a try. Order the VR headset and gfx card from a shop with a consumer friendly return policy.
In my opinion: if TrackIR seems like a hassle, then VR is double.
:smartass:
I predict we will not see a new module by Heatblur in the next 5 years. Hope they prove me wrong, but it's much more sensible business wise to focus all resources on government projects. I would handle it that way, wouldn't you?
:music_whistling:
I don't think it's worth it to replace the mobo and cpu. The 7700k is too good for that. Up the ram to 32GB and get a 2080 or 2080ti. Going this route should leave some money in your pocket.
The Warthog HOTAS has no analog rudder control, only the TM.16000 throttle has that. If you only fly jets, you can do without it. Warbirds and helos on the other hand very much need an analog rudder control.
If you just want a stick, the Gladiator is the better choice.
But: a HOTAS is so much better than a single stick and the TM throttle has a rudder control too that I like much better than the twist on the stick. All imho, of course.
I think the TM 16000 HOTAS would be a better choice: https://www.amazon.ca/Thrustmaster-663296420732-T16000M-FCS-Hotas/dp/B01KCHPRXA/ref=sr_1_3?crid=I9FAW6H29EG1&keywords=thrustmaster+hotas
