  1. Hi guys, In the latest patch (not the hot fix one) internal cargo has been included for the Mi-8 and the Huey. How does it work? It seems that the changelog has been changed after its publication...the sentence I took a screenshot of has been removed...
  2. Hi everyone, for those working on terrain textures, do you think it might be possible to produce Africa-like textures for existing maps (like Syria)? The idea is to have a good recreation of the Central Africa area (Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Angola etc.), especially in the 70s. I don't have any skill for this, just wondering if it might be a doable project for those involved in terrain textures editing.
  3. I would use it even if it breaks the IC as public servers are not attractive. There are tons of casual and milsim groups with own servers that are usually set to allow mods. Even if it breaks the IC, if the result will be a much nicer cockpit, it might be considered to be implemented as the standard one by ED. Go for it!
  4. Hi rotary pilots! Is there any plan to get the Mi-8 a level up in terms of texture and new features? It has one of the best (if not the best) helicopter FM out there but it's now aging a bit compared to new ones and it might be appropriate to have what it deserves. It still rocks but I think it should be upgraded considering what we are getting in terms of quality at the moment (see Apache and Kiowa).
  5. First of all, congratulations, it's a very good news and a deserved award for your hard work! I have a question that, I guess, some are going to ask so here it is: I have a mission planned for the 22nd with many static objects of your Mod. Is it going to work if I keep the mod installed after the next DCS update to make the mission run and/or avoid to place all the objects again? I guess they will have different names so having the mod active should probably create doubles but I want to be sure it will not mess up an existing mission

Actually it works without increasing the distance (as it used to do before couple of updates ago)...the only thing to do is to add another "go to waypoint" on the first waypoint of the loop (the one "receiving" the vehicle after the loop). So distance is not an issue, as per other tests, where it stopped even with a great distance from waypoints.
  7. I mean statics too, maybe provided in different numbers like: 1 single person, 10 people, 50 people etc. not necessary animated and not by default as per the DCS traffic but rather placed by the editor as per other objects/troops.

Hi everyone, with the upcoming CH-47 and the future C-130 releases, civilian personnel and population statics/ground AIs would play an important role as they may be used for many tasks (Airport/base staff, civilians to be rescued or evacuated, refugees camps etc.). Is anyone planning to make a mod for them? The actual old, awfully designed default air show crowd isn’t suitable at all.
  9. The first option works but the second, depending on the mission doesn't. So for the moment I'm using Go to Waypoint 2 on Waypoint 1 + Go to Waypoint 1 on last waypoint. Infantry works as per old method (only Go to Waypoint 1 on the last waypoint) depending on turn radius. Still odd and unusual anyway.
  10. Thanks, I'm doing some tests but anyway, it used to work as I did in first place. I used that way for years so there's something broken anyway. I also noted that infantry has less problems but if the turn is too tight (too tight for DCS....not for normal physics and real life!) it stops too.
  11. Good day everyone, I set up a ground unit to perform a loop using, on the last waypoint, the command "Go to waypoint" to make it start again its loop. First of all, when using "Perform command" it automatically reverts to Perform Task (you will notice clicking other options and going back to that action). Anyway, the ground unit reaches the last waypoint, goes to the first one as per command but it stops and doesn't start the route again. Here attached a simple test miz and track file.   12. I tried my best to have the Victory Flag showing up by having a look to similar mods but the flag doesn't work (= I'm not able to make it work, more precisely). It may be helpful to have it already packed with the lua files or more detailed instructions
  13. @Hawkeye60 May I kindly ask how to install the Victory flag? I'm trying to put it in the F-14 but my knowledge of mods luas and structure is not enough.

Hi guys, as DCS doesn't provide a proper replay, I was considering having the LSO platform screen exported in video format (like we can do on the Tomcat when using the LANTIRN) or to an additional monitor (so we can record that screen). Is there a way of doing it? I mean, flying a plane, switching to the LSO station temporary, activate the recording and moving back to the plane. By having this we can properly review our traps and get a fair grading by the human LSOs who can't be there every day. Thank you in advance

  18. As written, unfortunately I can't retrieve the full one as I restarted DCS 2-3 times shortly after and lost that log. Shame on me but I had to rejoin a session asap. I'm going to re-install my GPU drivers now and check how it goes in this evening's session. Tomorrow I will replace the GPU with the new one and make a clean driver installation with DDU.
  19. Hi guys, I'm having random DCS crashes with "DCS not responding" popup either when flying or in the Server (role selection) screen. Here is the latest crash log (can't retrieve the actual full log as I started DCS couple of times after that to resume a mission quickly) Specs are good: i5 13600KF / 64 Gb RAM / RTX 2080 (it will be replaced with a 4080 tomorrow evening). Suggestion: It would be a great add to have GPU and Air Starters with the ducts unfolded and in a kind of "connected" shape in different variants to be used with different modules as they have their specific connecting points. Having them as active ground unit would also be amazing as we might create triggers (i.e. using Spacebar or F10 radio menu) to talk with ground crew (not the default invisible one) and activate and deactivate those units for engine start.
  21. It's such a shame that ED is basically abandoning the huey. With a bit of "lifting", a couple of variants (212, 412) and civilian/military option for the pilots, the guy would be up to level with the recent announced upcoming modules for some transport, recon, and ground forces support actions (C-130, CH-47).
  22. What about having the Huey pilots without helmets and with a baseball cap and David Clark headsets? Would it be doable?
  23. I don't know why but the v20 SP is giving me a flable smoke for static smoke effect and plane crashing (like the DCS default one) instead of the usual Better Smoke nice one. Using OVGME in Main DCS folder (files are correctly placed as I checked the activation of the mod).
