  1. I could not see instrument floodlight at all on night free flight mission with gamma setting at 1.5 as it always has been. Dramatically dimmer/useless. I ramped gamma up to 1.9 which is too high imo as darker areas become greyed instead of black. At this level i can just make out the flood.
  2. Update - C++ runtime error crash this time. Attempting uninstalling all runtimes and re-installing only latest.
  3. Managed to get past the loading screen on the second attempt after rebuilding saved games files. Another mystery though seem to be getting an issue like this after every update. Not sure if it is the RTX GPUs which are not favoured by the engine or if it is something simpler? There seem to be alot of small graphical issues cropping up regularly with DCS which are not being addressed but that's for another day in another thread i reckon. Anyway thanks for helping again
  4. Above seems to be a common theme in the text file. I will try another repair and replace saved games files again. If it still happens i will upload files for tech support

  6. Anybody any ideas, game keeps crashing when in ME or when loading from ME. Haven;t tested further.   7. Thanks Darcy :), haven't tried yet but seems that will be the issue. I was using the dispense command instead of CMDS keybinds. Have now set these correctly to a hat switch.
  8. Been away from the viper for a bit and am struggling with my countermeasures setup. I enter list>7 to change CMDS. Prg is selected and i change settings to 1 for Sequence qty for chaff and flare but when i then hit chaff/flare dispense on the hotas i get a continual dispense until they are exhausted. Am i doing this wrong? Has the keybind to begin dispensing a program changed with the updates? Really can't be bothered watchin another YT video to find out so hoping someone can enlighten me. Cheers

  11. Looking at Spud's most recent vid i would say you can get better results (visual vs performance) from 1080p w/ SSAA x2 than 1440p w/ SSAA x2. An odd one but the x2 on 1440p is a real drain on resources whereas on 1080p it would be less so if you have a decent enough rig. The majority of aliasing disappears on x2 SSAA so i would go for the lower res, higher settings if i could
  12. Radar antenna keyboard control Sorry if asked already but is anybody having bother with the radar antenna elevation up/down commands. I use keyboard -/= to control and when using since last update it seems to just jump from one extreme to the other? i.e. Fully up or fully down.

    I am too new to the Mirage to talk about all its systems as still perfecting my take off and landings. The HUD for a start is very intuitive when you learn it, great for visualising speed maintenance vs. pitch etc. I have the viggen, hornet, viper, mig19, harrier, sabre, mig21....well you can see in my signature... And i am so glad i bought this thing. It is very cool and very fun to fl and seems like it will take some learning to master which i look forward to
  14. It helped a bit but massive impact on frames. Still playable in less dense missions but still miles off what i would hope for i.e. runway markings etc
  15. I only use Tint and SMAA from Reshade, the rest seem to compound the problem i.e. sharpening the jaggies. NV CP is maxxed out too in relevant areas but will give Inspector a go as Mustang recommends
  16. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to edit any, for example, .ini files for DCS to manually adjust the aliasing levels beyond the presets. I know it can be done for shadows but fails IC but to be honest, running the thing on RTX with everything maxed out on a 32" 1440p monitor and still seeing jaggies everywhere is getting exhausting. Seems to be worse as of late? :( Enough to make me want to go back to my old 640x480 :lol:

    Glad i waited all this time to buy the Mirage. I wish i always had the patience to wait until a module was in the later stages of development to try it out but seeing what i have been missing out on with the M2000 i may not always be as patient in future!   19. That was the issue btw, thanks for clearing that up. Had experienced before but didn;t know what ended up sorting it out for me previously. Any ideas why the fog seems to move back and forth with zoom level?
  20. No, seems far too complex an idea for it to come to any manageable fruition i am afraid. ED charge enough imo to fund both the aircraft dev and the core sim

  22. Spotted during Magnum Force mission, took off from carrier and was faced with a wall of blocks over the sea. Seems to be issues with the reflection of the landmass. Screens show different zoom levels, ran update, repair deleted fxo and meta etc. still the same. May coincide with black sparkly textures issue reported elsewhere? When you zoom in max you almost don't see them at all. May be only visible from certain distance from reflection? Draw distance issue? :huh: Please advise
  23. Hey you know, i take that back, just noticed it on carrier takeoff mission in the PG, Black texture/aliasing issues on the wings at certain angles. Really weird. Also have issues with water reflections which looks similar, seen on magnum force mission but will report on seperate thread as may be seperate issue

You have to set AA in game and use enhance application, i can positively assure you they make a massive impact as just changed from override to enhance mode couple days ago and my DCS looks amazing right now. The advice i gave is what fixed it for me and i am not experiencing the issues you are so it cannot be a DCS problem surely?
  25. I had a similar issue which i discovered to be z-fighting between textures. seems its an issue with cards when set to AF 16x and MSAA 4x. If you have max settings it is likely you have them set to this so bringing the AF down to 8x helped me though this was a few months back. I now have AF 16x, MSAA 2x in game and MSAA 8x Enhanced application in Nvidia CP. this does not encounter the issue either
