Are you trying to edit the default rwr sounds to sound like ones from another sim? If so i would wait until ED implement them else you may just be causing yourself grief further down the line. Be patient man

you can alter the default cockpit view and save it ingame. dont have a link but google it anyway

DCS: F-16C Viper Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)
Bagpipe replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Check out my Uber-Cheesy first ever video edit showcasing the triumphant return to Al Minhad after a successful laser bombing run over the Persian Gulf. Please thumbs up if you can relate :P -
The question i would be asking is "are block 50s currently in use today?". If not, then why would ED change the simulated block 50? EDIT i am not saying they are not i personally don't know but i thought they were on block 70 by now?

Yeah that was my suspicion, it does happen in other aircraft but just seems more in the viper though this may just be down to the latest OB update making it worse? trees rendering constantly is a pain aswell when flying low, they appear to be moving constantly. repair and fxo metashaders delete didn't help this time unfortunately

Thought i would start a positive thread so we can exclaim all that we are enjoying about the WIP Viper module. It's been feeling rather weighted to the negative side on the forum. :smartass::doh: By all means continue the beta testing but keep it civil and above board I just finished the Night Intercept instant action mission and man this thing is a tank, the radar is great and so responsive, it climbs like a maniac so regaining the elevation advantage is a doddle and if you get into a dogfight with a Flanker you dont have much to worry about if you know what you are doing. Oh and jettisoning ALL your flares at once before landing at night is fun too :smilewink: Feel free to add your positive experiences, or don't but that would be awkward right...

[ALREADY KNOWN] F-16 Damage Model Broken
Bagpipe replied to CrypticVillain's topic in Bugs and Problems
this is already stated as WIP mate -
i will try another repair and delete the fxo and meta folders again. Is there anything else we can try?
-
I was at 20k ft on PG and the red definately not a ferrari building's shadow suddenly popped out of nowhere and started dancing around. It really ruins the immersion and has ruined a couple of video captures for me
-
yes deleted. The viper does seem to make things worse though guys. Possibly a cockpit view issue, i seem to recall another 3rd party module having cockpit view issues which messed with the whole thing
-
This may or may not be directly related to the F16 but marries in to what i have been experiencing with the lighting/shadows bug reported earlier. This is during the caucasus free flight mission. The progressive rendering issue has been reported on other threads before the viper but it seems to be tenfold when flying this module right now. Please see video and observe tree shadows https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjtiiX1ktKI&feature=youtu.be Video is terrible quality but skip to 1:25 and look on the hill to the right and you will notice the shadows running back and forward Image is of settings EDIT Video best viewed on mobile device

+1 e.g. manual states "Weapon Release" but keybind is WPN REL. Small stuff

Here you go

Please see attached video link showing issue with lighting and shadows when using the Viper. I loaded the hornet into the same spot and did not experience this problem. Also you may notice when at a certain camera angle facing the sun the cockpit glass becomes fully saturated in white which doesn't seem right. When doing flybys you also notice the intake and the rear of the fuel tanks textures are briefly white before rendering in as they get closer, possibly needs some tweaking. Apologies if this is already known, gpu drivers up to date and not experienced with other modules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMqVU8voM30

You find that in most of Chuck's guides that each aircraft has an "ideal feel" curve setting for each axis. My standard settings are 25 all around but i have mapped my rudder/nws axis higher and my roll lower in this case (15) I think from memory mine are at Roll 15, Pitch 25, Rudder 30
-
Mine have aligned though require constant correction, I may be wrong but it felt like wind was a factor, and also the steering cue moves as you roll out the turn, it takes some getting used to.

The majority of this thread is embarrassing to read imo. If you want the Uber-Real totally true to life F16 experience go and buy one jeez :music_whistling: ED should hold their (most likely sore) heads high with their efforts so far and the team are clearly on the ball with checking bug reports etc through the initial release window. Man, sometimes with 3rd party devs you file a bug report and don't hear back for weeks. Rest assured that the probably hundreds(thousands?) of users who haven't been commenting here are too busy enjoying what they have access to and relishing the prospect of more development to come
-
tbh it could just be aliasing thats causing it to appear that way

Just did the AMRAAM mission on nevada RTB'd with an ILS to Creech AFB. Landed and on taxi to ramp i dobbered to the frequency and hit the enter button on UFC and it froze again. It is purely an issue with the enter button on the frequency input. Strangely didn't do it the first time though which allowed me to land with the ILS guidance this time
-
Have tried all the usual culprits. I will try again tomorrow and report back
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-EJAkvedRI&feature=youtu.be Crash occurs at 1:15 Literally opening ME, changing clouds and time of day, placing unit, loading flight and entering ils procedures...
-
I will get you a vid up momentarily on YT
-
Sorry but can't seem to find the .dmp file or any log showing the incident but twice i have selected T-ILS, entered 78x for bdr abbas, entered the frequency (what is it 117.20? or something) and when i hit enter it flashes for a second and then the whole sim crashes but requires an END TASK to get out of and does not generate a report. Hopefully you can replicate and look into it. Looking good in general though guys loving the feel of it  EDIT: This was in ME on PG map
-
Yes comparable to Hornet. The viggen is unnecessarily frame hungry imo. Needs alot of optimizing which i am hoping comes with the next round of upgrades from HB.
-
Would selecting dogfight mode not cancel the amraams from selection though and limit you to guns and IR?
