shit man, i have been ignoring this after ordering the viper in the vain hope that i wouldn't get hooked on another purchase but them Air to Air modes are something else plus the mor emodern avionics look great. Just needs those delayed texturing works done to really grab folks attention. Maybe for christmas if i ask the wife nicely??

Your guides are awesome man, thank you so much for what you do. Now get one done for the xpl*&% 11 Fokker 50 by Ca%&^$*o and i will send you a chocolate watch:thumbup:

Trust Kim-Jong to be on the ED forums looking for F16 user manuals! HAHA!
-
Or maybe it will feature in Syria map? How funny would it be if they released that at same time as the viper just to watch all the nay sayers squirm apologetically
-
But surely for the viper they would make an exception..... :worthy::worthy::P

Campaigns updated with navigational aids
Bagpipe replied to Reflected's topic in Reflected Simulations
Re: the performance issues, my specs are certainly not terrible and i run the game maxed out. I suffer terrible frame rates during your The Big Show Campaign at times during large battles. I actually stopped flying it due to this as it just ruined the immersion. Is there a way you can keep the intensity up but keep the unit count lower i.e. through spawing units based on certain triggers etc.? Dont get me wrong i am no mission maker but i really liked the beginning of The Big Show, the story line is amazing, but i should not have to compromise my everyday visual experience of DCS to fly a campaign. Unless this is just a sad fact of DCS that, in it's present form, it just can't host these kind of air battles adequately? -
But this is the only day that my mom goes out of town and i have the appartment all to myself and can play DCS in nothing but my birthday suit and cheetos crumbs..........................................................................................................................................................................:chair:

Holy S**t people the guy is just making a wee guide ffs leave him alone. Just because it is on ED forums doesn't mean everybody has to get all high and mighty about it and put holes in it, its not exactly endorsed as third party material so if you don't like it don't read it. Honestly

I can highly recommend the Mig-19 and Baltic Dragon's campaign which comes with it. I am fairly certain you would award the campaign one or two wands and the plane itself is very immersive to learn and fly
-
so has there been any mention from ED as to whether they will implement the arrestor system at certain runways. I assume Nevada would be the place to start with that?

No way, the number of times in IL2 that i have hit the wrong modifier and ended up bailing out is unreal. 3x is best imo

Headtrack wont control external view
Bagpipe replied to Bagpipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok tried rebuilding the saved games folder but still only working on random modules. Tried everything. If you get a chance can you let me know what is in the contents of your, say, FA18C input folder in saved games. Is there anything present in the headtracking folder? If so could you upload it for me and i can try insert it into mine to see if it fixes then i can replicate for rest of the modules. -
Roger, reset button should do it. I reckon as i got pinged form the friendly radars the harm must have engaged them and even though i flew into the enemy radar as it was nailing me for a good few miles before launching, the missile must have still been locked to the ones behind me without the reset button. Thank you makes sense :book:

Hi folks, Yesterday i was flying the FA18 over the PG on one GR's servers and decided to go for some of those pesky SAM sites. Flying at 30k ft at Mach 0.9 and got locked up by an enemy SAM. HARM was on standard mode not TOO. I carried on to within 15nm of the target and launched only to see my missile attempting a 180 as if it was returning to our friendly SAM sites behind me?? Fired another and it seemed to do the same. Am i doing something wrong here or is it a case of too many radars in close proximity confusing the missile? Would this mean i have to properly learn how to program TOO mode and go about it that way? Thanks

However... "Range: 100km in fair weather, signal strength may deteriorate in adverse weather conditions. The localiser, due to the placement of the transmitter unit will diverge from the runway heading, yielding a 3° offset approach from the runway centreline. This leads to the localiser beam intersecting the runway centreline at about 900 metres away from the runway threshold. As a result, the TILS system cannot be used the last portion of the approach, however the runway should be in sight at that distance and altitude." Does this help at all? That manual is a piece of work

Headtrack wont control external view
Bagpipe replied to Bagpipe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Weirdly, the external view can be moved with headtracker using the Spitfire module and no others. Is there something i can copy over to the other modules from this t enable it again. Starting to think a reinstall may be my only option at the rate i am having problems -
correct :music_whistling:
