  1. Hi, Is there any way to see the raw input numbers in game? ctrl-enter is nice for some applications but I'd like to see the numbers the game is seeing while in the cockpit. Thanks
  2. They must have listened to you lol because I've had my Kave XTDs for nearly 3 years and they have held up pretty good. There are a couple of places where the faux leather covering is peeling but not bad Sound amazing
  3. Yes, whenever you unlock a target (I use pinky button rather than a tdc depress) The cursors will move to the top left corner of the display. It's irritating for sure, wonder if that is the way it is in the real jet...but if it is, it is.
  4. F2 will not help you on most multiplayer servers as they will turn off outside views :) Also if you use the above techniques and you have trackir, your head will not always be in the same space in jet even if it is in real life so make sure it's centered or turn it off to line up. If you have a buddy launching with you on adjacent catapults they can spot for you. Hopefully soon we will have ground crew to line us up.

  6. if that doesn't work for you then here is my procedure and never had any issues: 1. Taxi to catapult with the front wheel right behind the catapult shuttle. 2. Extend bar 3. Hit the U key which is the default key for Catapult hookup 4. Retract bar 5. punch it. Has worked 100% of the time. I don't extend the bar until I get to the shuttle, although I've seen others do it.
  7. Thanks for the info guys, I will start messing around with the curves it and see how it goes. Just never used curves with any flight sim I've flown since the 1980s lol.
  8. So has anyone experienced a 27knot headwind in game by setting the carrier to 27knots and no wind? Planes do not act as expected. Seems to be related to what nws mode you are in and sometimes you have to cycle nws to get proper movement. I setup perpendicular to the deck and the plane slid forward on the deck. Just odd stuff. Doing some testing on differences in set carrier speed to get the proper head wind and just setting headwind higher. But, having 27knots of headwind really helps getting into the groove for sure.
  9. Hopefully they eventually sync everything, it's funny to see someone lined up on CAT 1 and see the blast wall deploy on CAT 2 but stay down on CAT 1.

So I'm just using a linear curve at the moment as I do with all aircraft, but with the 18 it seems to be more sensitive and if that is the way it is in the real jet then I'll continue to stay with linear. But does anyone know if that is the case in the real jet or are there some "curves" applied to it in the FBW system? If so anyone have some proper curves for the warthog stick? Thanks
  11. Yeah that drove me nuts until figuring it out. Sometimes a quick press works, but a long press does the trick. Other times it depended upon what type of channel I was in, preset or M. Manual more often than not took a quick press, but sometimes not and changing a preset usually took a long press.
  12. Is that extended in the literal sense I wonder because when you are actually hooked up to the catapult and ready to go, the bar is in the retracted state in the cockpit.
  13. Any way to remove takeoff locations in chat? Not sure anyone really takes advantage of it tactically but it would be nice to remove the capability
  14. I noticed a bit of AI traffic as well nice touch. But man there are a lot of 18s out there lmao. ED or someone better start on a comparable Red plane or multiplayer is going to be a bit lop sided for a long time. While the 2000 is close now, when the 18 gets 120s and all it's other goodies oh lawt.

What I kinda envisioned is one or more factory complexes on both sides deep into their territories, maybe those complexes just happen to supply certain munitions (ehem, 120s R77s) those factories have a supply chain to the airfields. (Many people don't know that supply chains are available in DCS) and if your side's factories are blown up, well no active radar missiles for you until the factories are rebuilt and supply is restored. Set the rebuild time to something reasonable like a couple hours real time or so. You could do the same for other highly praised weapon types or even fuel. Make it to where the complex is large enough that it would take more than one aircraft to take it completely out.
  16. I get ya, and honestly I'm not bashing FC pilots. I get that some pilots like to get the immediate gratification/adrenaline of combat and one can get FC aircraft up and on station/combat very quickly and get that. If I do A-A (I prefer A-G) I do so in a 2000c and I do wait the whole 8 min or so for INS alignment, to me it is more immersive, and since I'll be going up against superior planes/weapons I have to rely on varying tactics and if I do get a kill it's that much more satisfying. It's hard to please everyone I know, but maybe having a high value target 400nm away that requires refueling and killing it has some bearing on the flow of the mission could attract some more hardcore realism folks to the server. Personally I'd find more enjoyment tracking down and killing a strike package going for such targets or being that strike package and avoiding them.
  17. To me, Longbow was a good medium between air quake and at least some representation of a more realistic sortie. At least the aircraft on each side where more realistic. There were many choices of where to attack and there was some strategy involved. The missions running now seems to want to concentrate everyone in a small portion of the map. I'm guessing that most people who like this air quake stuff are flying FC aircraft where there is little investment on learning/using the more advanced systems on other aircraft.
  18. Sigh, it seems this is server is becoming even more and more air quake with the missions.
  19. Well hopefully the patch today will help with the VRAM being used up. With an 11GB card I don't really notice issues, but everyone I know with 4/6GB cards definitely see issues after some time in game.
  20. I usually can get to the select role screen in under 30sec, but on occasion it can take a minute or so....maybe a fresh map / change in mission or number of players on. Maybe bandwidth related vs good system as I have 1Gbps up/down.
  21. This: DCS uses at the most 5GB even in hosting/connected multiplayer on my rig (even pre lastest patch)
  22. Yeah I saw a couple posts about it, then finally found another post where DCS took out or changed the code 1113 stuff, but was curious if the 104th set the codes in the mission or something. Me and a buddy tested quite a bit and couldn't get it to work.
  23. Is it possible to buddy lase from a Ka-50 for a M2000c? I assume the Ka-50 uses 1133 on this mission?
