  1. In the past I've noticed that if you don't have enough VRAM then it uses RAM to compensate. So RAM use would depend on how much free VRAM you have.
  2. I do that after every update, been around a while Didn't help. I'll say that when at 30 it is still smooth and playable but just curious where my 15fps went lol The UI stutter however is something I've never seen before.
  3. Before the latest patch, I was getting solid 45fps on the Syria map, specifically the Skud hunting mission in the Apache. Now I'm getting a max of 30fps and even drops to mid 20s. When bringing up the controls UI when in the mission, head movements while is it up is stuttering quite bad. Nothing else has changed on my system. I don't fly without VR so not sure if this is a VR only issue for me.

  5. I knew about that, but assumed it was off as well because alignment hasn't occurred. Funny how it knows, but doesn't pre-fill the proper KU entry like it does after alignment. Thanks for the info.
  6. I'm not sure why they didn't put the entire MGRS coords in the kneeboard, seems simple to do and not as confusing. The other missions are like this as well. Simply putting the entire MGRS means you can put them in while aligning rather than waiting.

  8. I got the Harrier on pre-order before all the abstractions and really haven't flown it much at all since, good to know that added all of them TARGET f's up everything eventually lol. For example DCS or TARGET doesn't seem to read the throttle position correctly on startup (so hot starts are troublesome) when using TARGET Virtual Device vs just the throttle. (just one of the things) Yes the check box is checked in settings Yeah I know there are only a few switches like that in the 64, thank goodness....maybe I can look at the LUAs from the Harrier and translate over to 64.
  9. So I have a warthog throttle until VKB puts there's out and I HATE T.A.R.G.E.T with a passion. I remember having to add all the 2/3 position switches to the Harrier back when I flew it but someone was nice enough to compile all of them and it was a cut/paste job on my part. Has anyone done this yet for the Apache? Add.....ED why don't you do this?
  10. Reported this a few days ago and it was moved to the bugs/issue forum so they know I guess. I only get it inside the cockpit and moving slowly from outside to inside keeps it from happening. Not sure why that is is the case, but the whole George in VR mechanics need to improve as they are horrible.
  11. Well that's kinda what I'm getting at, right tool for the job. The question is, when to use laser over radar IRL and then how that will translate into DCS I've just thought of maybe a another reason, how good is the radar hellfire on GMTs and as SFJackBauer said, more precision guidance in cluttered areas. Not sure if we could answer that and you said that's getting into probably classified stuff.
  12. So, subject pretty much says all. Since the aircraft is capable of both, why use laser? To me laser is inferior tech to radar. No fire/forget, susceptible to dust/fog/etc CP/G has a higher workload finding and tracking targets. The only advantages I can see to laser is there is no detectable radar emissions from the aircraft (although laser can be detected in certain circumstances as we all know) Can be buddy lased by any capable unit that isn't datalinked to the shooter. So, when we get FCR and radar hellfires...will there be any use for laser guided other than maybe the situations above? I just don't see why in DCS why a pilot would choose laser over radar. Real life reason...maybe cost or supply?
  13. You guys did an awesome job on this thing...however the George UI display needs work in VR. For instance as the pilot, the UI under the NVGs is so distracting....but then when you get him to store targets. the list is at the bottom of view and it's hard to focus on. I don't know if it's my index headset, my eyes or not but I feel like my eyes are crossing trying to read the target list. The opacity is something that need a setting or something as well. It's hard to read over things inside the cockpit. I also (and I asked about this in another thread that got no love), sometimes get double George UI when moving the overlay (and sometimes the IHADSS symbiology) inside the cockpit when heads down. It looks like double vision, moving it back to heads up and then slowly back down usually resolves it. Maybe it truly is my eyes crossing trying to focus with the see through UI...opacity setting might help this. Never doubles when looking outside. Can we have them displayed more like the pancake version, maybe fixed position in the viewport? I know there are technical reasons in how VR does it's display stuff why this may be difficult or impossible. Again, awesome work on this piece of art.

  16. Anyone else get this? Sometimes (not all the time) when looking around in the cockpit with the George interface (especially when in CP/G position) the interface doubles like you have double vision. This is extreme rough on your eyes. Moving head out of cockpit resolves the issue. Not fond of the George interface in VR to begin with, would be nice to be able to increase the opacity Index headset, I've tried right eye and both eyes for IHADSS and doesn't change anything.

    RTX 3090

    Only way I've found to get one in 20 or so days is to buy a whole new rig from a high end shop. Seems they get an allotment. Yes I looked at getting the cheapest rig with a 3090 and then transferring it to my current rig (3090 was a $1500 upgrade). It was cheaper than ebay for sure but methinks I'll wait lmao

  21. Ok, so there is no point in engaging them then....they would disappear even when I was doing a run on them and I was wondering where the hell did he go? A BTR isn't that fast to clear a 200yard field in 5 sec. I understand the performance hit due to unit, typical to this sim.
  22. Are units that seem to be random spawns (not related to your tasking) supposed to disappear after some time? I've engaged units like this and they just go poof after a bit kinda frustrating
  23. I use an Index, which has a better mic than my headset. The racing sim and one of the space sims I use VR. People on discord say I sound better with index vs my headset. VSPX didn't help. They are being heard incorrectly, after about 15 learning sessions it still cant recognize me saying just the letter "A" or "O" Yep, I setup every option just like in the instructions. I took me about 20 min to get "show log" to work....just don't get it.
  24. Yes, native english....but if it were my voice or settings other VA profiles would also be an issue.
