"The Brat III", serial no. 44-72339, is a WWII combat veteran. Assigned to the 9th Air Force, 370th Fighter Group, 401st Fighter Squadron in 1944, it was flown by Lt. Hjalmar Johnsen. This YouTube channel has some very good WWII footage in color. Nearly all is from the German side of the war on the ground, but there are a few good ones of the air war.

I spent a lot of my childhood flying missions in real time in The Mighty Eighth. Such an awesome sim, still is. And being able to fly not just the B-17 but the little friends and axis fighters too.

Part of the right side of the nose's UV mapping is cloned from the left side. Certainly seems it needs to be fixed.

Yep. The B-2 uses a similar method, in that to yaw the aileron on that side splits (like the A-10).
