True, as others said, is going to be easy to add a gameplay option to turn it on and off. Like labels right now.
-
I always check and re-check that, because it’s true label dots are similar at some distance. But no, labels off all the time.
-
Totally agree with that...
-
My feedback: Yes, dots are smaller with today's update but still very big for my taste and headset (Reverb G2, PD: 1.2). As others said, I would prefer a separate setting to turn it off. I remember it happens too when F-15E was out, last year if I remember correctly. At the end ED return to no dots at all with labels off, I prefer that way. Oh, thanks for listening.

Thanks for explanation, very comprehensive. And thanks too for the videos! Is nice to see tutorials from a pilot who flies the real thing.

Recommended YouTube Channel From Real CH-47 Pilot

Yes, very good tutorials and tips, and very well explained. Another interesiting channel is this, a CH-47 Avionics Tech: https://www.youtube.com/@bsdcaprice -
Sorry, I meant “Runway” start.

It seems when you do cold and dark startup, Bypass switch is needed to release flare and chaff, but a ramp or free flight quickstart mission, is no needed. Perhaps is in relation with RWR?
-
For countermeassures you need flare chaff key bindings, Master Arm On, Bypass switch to Bypass (right of Master Arm switch). AFIK, there is no doorgunner menu, you change the station and control the gunner yourself, if you have M60 installed by rearm menu.

You can search in F-14 forum, I remember saw a vocabulary guide there (nails, dirt, SAM, etc), and I suppose is going to be the same.

Old threat revival. Didn't check last months, but yesterday's update (july 11), seems to solve finally the stuttering in PNVS! At last I can fly night missions in my beloved Apache. Reverb G2 and 4090 with 12700k. By chance, I start a flight in 4YA Afghanistan server and it was night time, activate PNVS and voilá, no stuttering. I check Caucasus Hercules Down mission and works very well too. Of course it will depend on each system, but for me, problem is gone. I'm happy!

I just tested two quick missions, Apache Longshot in Syria and F-15E Ramp start in SInai and I can confirm that I notice a big improvement in FPS, amazing.I have to do more testing, but pretty happy with the results. As other said, with DLSS update, Caucasus map was big improment in perfomance, but not the other maps in my system. With this update, ED seems to fixed this. Reverb G2, 12700k and 4090.

correct as is Pilot Acquisition source crosshair can not be remove in IHADSS
nachomaga replied to nachomaga's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Here is the short track, thanks AH-64 acquisition source crosshair.trk -
Hi all. Before yesterday's update I can remove crosshair selecting ?SKR as acquisition source (missile seeker, I believe). But now it doesn't work. If is that feature is "correct as it is", is any way to remove the crosshair from the IHADSS? I usually fly alone without human CPG and I like the IHADSS as clean as possible. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat (G2 V1 here), so I will follow this thread. Varjo is really tempting, but from what I read, vertical FOV is smaller than Reverb G2 and I think is important. I have no problem with Pimax is from china, everything nowadays is made in china. Perhaps you are talking about customer support. Anyway, my problem with Pimax is the weight and size. I have Pimax 8K to replace my G2. But is collecting dust right now. Didn't get performance that I get used in the G2 (even with OpenXR and a lot of tweaks and testing) and for long flight sessions feels heavy and bulky. Crystal it seems has almost the same weight. At the end I suppose I have to wait.

Why does the outside world look terrible in VR?
nachomaga replied to Callsign.Vega's topic in Virtual Reality
Not sure if you are asking Vega, but I use max MSAA in DCS, but from last year I think is not working very well in VR. CAS Sharpening is a reshade thing, right? never tried. -
Would be nice that you can edit the keybinding in each module. Two or three updates ago, start to interferes (for example) with the Num Pad in the Apache.

Not sure if is still on the rule not talking about other flight simulators, but lately I’ve being flying in the “other” big flight simulator (mostly airliners) and have the same feeling OP has in DCS. Different engines and render technology, of course, but there is a difference in clarity in the distance (cockpit is perfect in both). Don’t know why. -
Rotary keybind for radar and INS not working
nachomaga replied to Dograw75's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yep,I notice that too. For me, INS, Radar and nav flir dials doesn't work. I tried rotatory enconders and single keys, no luck. -
I have to check how to send the log files, never done it. Anyway, If I get only the "End process" Windows message while loading mission, DCS still made a crash log file?
-
I use hyper threading off in the past, but DCS crash in MT for me. I tried repair DCS, delete config folder in saved games, reset Bios settings in the motherboard. But no luck, DCS crash while loading any mission.
-
I saw in older thread, but just in case some of you miss it, this video talks about about FCR (for training, it seems). Very interesting. And of course I hope too that FCR will implemented in the sim. Although I understand is a complex system.

Yep, time is on EUFD display. Zulu by default, but you can change to local in TSD Utility page.
