  1. Yes, is the distance from the aircraft the camera is at. And when I talked about zoom, is the mouse wheel zoom, of course. The RCtrl + NumKeys is only for cockpit view position and doesn't work in F2 (at least in VR). The right click mouse drag is not a MSFS thing? I just checked today and Huey in the closest zoom possible fill almost entire field of view in my Reverb G2, not so the Apache. The RCtrl + F2 view is better and you can get very close, but the sound is not working well. Anyway, thanks for your awnsers, guys.
  2. I feel that the external view in the Apache is a bit far away, specially compared with the Huey and the Hind, for example, even with the closest zoom. Any .lua file that can be edit to get closer view? Perhaps this topic must be in Wishlist sub forum...
  3. Search for “cursor” in controls, you need to bind four directions (or XY axis) and “Cursor enter”, if I remember correctly. If you bind axis remember to add some dead zone, works better when jumping between MPD.
  4. Yes, setting a dead zone in the curves (8 or 10) fix the problem for me, now you put the cursor on the edge, another tap and goes to the other MPD.
  5. I have a Razer keypad with excellent results. Use it for views and comms in first mode and UFC for some planes in second mode. Very handy in VR. With the Razer, Thrustmaster MFDs and a button box, almost no need to touch the mouse.
  6. Not sure, but is not updated for years, if I remember correctly.
  7. Ok, I will give a try. Thx
  8. silverdevil, do you know this settings works in VR? Thanks for sharing, btw
  9. I’m just in the middle. I read some parts of NATOPS manual of Tomcat and Hornet and some things are useful, others don’t, in my opinion. Even with ED manual, you can learn all he procedures and things “by the book”, but I realized that I’m only doing 60% of the things I had learn, and, if possible, I do in simplified way. Yes, I’m lazy, hehehe... Back to the real manual, perhaps some flight procedures might be useful to read before the release. Systems? Well, not sure what I’m going to use when we have the Apache. I learned many things in other modules that I didn’t use in the game, I prefer to wait this time.
  10. Totally agree with the throttle, I have no binding and never miss it. Handy if you are short of keys in your notas, and the Apache I think is going to need lots of other important keys.
  11. bonux, I have a Virpil collective right now, but flew Blackshark and the Huey for years (now the Hind too), with Saitek X55 throttle without problems. I had inverted axis to be more realistic. The only problem I had is when I hover with the Harrier (no inverted axis), get confused sometimes, hehe. As other said, try some tryout helis first if you want.
  12. I understand why people is upset, but as other said, developing a module is a hard task and with bad surprises sometimes. Again, my first sim was an Apache simulator in the 80s, lol, I can wait a bit more. Keep the good work, ED.
  13. I prefer both eyes in other modules, but I will try to get used to right eye only in Apache. I think symbology is still present when look at the cockpit and it seems real pilots close right eye when looking down (I heard in Casmo channel).
  14. 3D graphics, amazing at the time, lol
  15. You can see rest of the keys in Controls. To move left/right is RCtrl+RShift+Num4 and Num6.
  16. Hi! In Controls/UI Layer there is a binding for that ("Recenter VR headset" is called), and of course works in all modules. Be careful not to pick a key (or HOTAS button) that is use for other thing in a module). I use a button in my throttle.
  17. Almost same here. Went from 8700k to 12700k few days ago, new motherboard (Asus TUF Gaming) and new MSI AIO cooler, same DDR4 RAM. GPU still the same, Zotac 3090 Trinity. Oh, and fly in VR (Reverb G2). Still with Windows 10 (lazy to update). I didn't fps count, but yes, there is a difference, not massive, but is noticeable. Like compare multiplayer flying with single player. For me in the 8700k single player was smoother, now with 12700k have the same feeling in MP. And in VR, each fps counts. If I remember correctly, I had hyperthreading off, and Turbo Boost 3.0 on. I see 4,8-4,9Ghz CPU in the ASUS motherboard utility. And I think that 3090 is working harder too, thanks to the new CPU. Bottom line, 8700k is a fantastic CPU and I would keep it if I fly only in 2D, but in VR I think 12700k is a really good upgrade. And when ED make improvements in multi task (I think super carrier now is multi thread) is going to be perfect.
  18. All goes well at the end and DCS keeps all the bindings and axis. I only had to login again into my account, tried some modules and everything works fine!
  19. Cool tip, Art, didn’t know that Thanks for the awnsers, guys!
  20. Not sure if PC Hardware is the right place for this question... I'm going to update my 8700k to 12700k, so new motherboard is needed. I had 8700k for 3 years now, and I don't remember if motherboard update change all the control key bindings, and I have a lot now (joystick, throttle, TM MFDs, rudder pedals, RAZER Keypad, a button box, VIrpil Collective). My plan is not update Windows (I'm lazy), perhaps some drivers, if needed. If the awnser is yes, I suppose I have to save a profile from each module, and from each category (one for the keyboard, one for stick, and so on...), a PIA, if you ask me. Is there a way to do the same thing in more efficient way? Thanks in advance! Edit: because a Saved Games Config folder backup wouldn't work, I suppose...
  21. My first sim! I’m old too, hehehhe
  22. Yeah, VR built headphones usually don’t have very good sound quality. I use Sennheiser HD-25 since I had Rift CV1, S and now with G2. Closed design that block sound from outside (specially PC fan noise).
  23. Yea, reset the seated environmental didn’t work for me either. You need to go to WMR settings in Windows, I think you can access from WMR portal. And “Clear environment data”. Hope it helps.
  24. I think is not possible without controllers, right? Anyway, I usually re-center the headset in seating experience option.
  25. I cleared the environmental data in WMR settings and notice same issue, like 2D tracking, if I understand you correctly. Had to reboot computer twice, but solves the problem for me, 6DOF tracking again. Hope it helps.
