  1. Hey dburne, It is our first time hearing players encounter this issue. Will take a look into it ASAP. Please use this video as a reference and give it a try: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1vA411u7Jx, time stamp is about 8 minutes in. ED changed the 65E's range to about 10NM, please make sure that you are in range. In theory, you should be able to just uncage and lock the target, no need to change and parameter. If possible, please send a trk file and (or) a Tacview file to info@inverted.team, we will look into it and let you know the cause. Many thanks for your patience. Best, FrankMT
  2. Roger, good idea, will make it more clear. Many thank!
  3. We have made it more clear in the mission bar and will update in the next patch, thanks for the heads up! Sorry about the inconvinience.

  5. Yes and I bet you guess that last part right. Follow our social medias and you should see it soon :D.
  6. Roger, will fix. Many thanks!
  7. Hey guys, I am FrankMT, producer of Rising Squall. We have received a lot of support and kind words in the last few days and are very glad that you are enjoying Rising Squall campaign. I will use this thread to post info you may want to know about Rising Squall and about our future projects and plans. Rising Squall - a bridge between arcade and realism We wish Rising Squall can bring new players from other combat fighter genres to join the stage, taking their fighter pilot dreams to the next level, experiencing the realistic flying characteristics of the jets while having a cinematic blast as they have done in other less demanding games. We wanted to achieve this goal of cinematic and light-weight gameplay while preserving the beauty of DCS (not all, we know). Meaning veteran players can also have a blast from its ease of access and little time consumption. We are very happy about achieving such goal with a wide range of players enjoying the campaign. Many have finished Rising Squall and are asking "Will there be a sequel, and when?" As you may tell, it requires a lot resources (relatively) to pull through a campaign like this. We have established a world for the story and will surely expand on it. Early work on the Rising Squall sequel has been started, yet we have to see how Rising Squall performs and decide how far we can push - There still are many, many things can be improved and introduced. There is no definite time for the release of the next campaign, yet. We have created a dedicated website for Rising Squall: rising-squall.com We will be constantly updating things and stories on the website. We have massive scripts for the story and characters, but we want you to know the crucial parts in the form of light reading. Please check them out here before playing the campaign: https://www.rising-squall.com/story Some of your are asking about the "tutorial campaign" we promised earlier, I will get to that at the end. In the meantime, you can check out https://www.rising-squall.com/chuck-s-guide-pages. Chuck makes one of the best guides in the community and we have benefited extensively from it, if you also find it being helpful, consider supporting him via Patreon. We have received your feedback about the voice-overs. We know, if they speak like that in real-flight, they would be ejected out of the canopy right away. Although the style is intended, we have to admit that scripting and directing can be improved and will be improved for future projects.Due to COVID, we had to do English VOs over the internet with individual VAs without live-directing. Now, for 2021: We will be working on two projects on top of the constant maintenance and quality of life improvements for Rising Squall (New clouds, yeah!). Firstly, we are working on a “tutorial campaign for F/A-18C” - a series of detailed training missions that focuses on practicality and replayability, the idea is very similar to Laobi’s “1-minute DCS” series. It will be FREE for those who own Rising Squall. We will release more details about the project in Q2 2021, it will also have some “unprecedented” ideas. Secondly, we will be taking feedback and suggestions for Rising Squall and work on its sequel. Like said before, we want to push further, but that is subject to our financials and there is no particular timeline for the next campaign. I'd like to take time to thank all of those who have helped making this project a reality, we have come far, yet still have a long way to go. Thank the ED team, Groove, Matt, NineLine, and BIGNEWY and those behind the stage for giving us massive support for this launch. Thank the community members and YouTubers that participated in the early tests and made gameplay videos. (Btw, Ralfi voiced for Darkstar in M09, amazing work by him). Thank our Chinese communities and members, JQ-12/shinelith, JQ-97/Echo, DIS-uboats, DIS-Luna, DIS-Mackurt, CHL-127 for all the technical support in the process. Thank all the voice-actors, you guys did an amazing job! We will continue to improve future scripts and directions to show your talents better! Thank Keiki Kobayashi and those at cakeprojects, being able to invite you onboard was a true honor for us, needless to say about the music masterpieces you guys have created. Thank all the INVERTED Studio members that have put faith in the project and me at such an early stage. Lastly, to all the players. Thank you for playing and making our dream come true. Stay safe and happy Chinese New Year! Best, FrankMT INVERTED Ltd.
  8. This is a DCS issue, DO NOT QUIT the mission within 10 seconds after starting, or progression will go backwards.
  9. Hi kenpoh, It is our first time hearing about this as well, can you go into more details so we can determine if it is a game issue or campaign issue? Thanks!
  10. Thanks a lot dressoccer4, have fun!
  11. Hi Dresoccer4, thanks for playing! We have said in the product description that visual novels are English subtitled. It is the best we can do for now, thanks for understanding.
  12. LShift+F10 that is. You can also swtich it off in game setting in main menu.
  13. Mission 06 - Fruhling, the airfield you are landing is called "Fruhling"
  14. I'm sure it won't be as long as 1-2 years haha. The latter has yet to be decided, but we'd love to have him onboard again, of course.
  15. Will add a checkpoint to MS06 in the next patch. Sorry about the frustration that it has created. Will check, but most likely it was because of an unlucky attempt, it's DCS, a sandbox, there is only so much we can do to limit things while creating cinematics. Tips: For the landing, you need to be patient during final to not jerk the plane around while paying close attention to your back-up airspeed. Dont get too slow and avoid pushing on the stick, it is very easy to flip the jet upside down.
  16. Please check and move throttle position idle at mission start. This shouldn't be a mission issue. Many thanks for your support!
  17. Hi Brzl, Do you play DCS on a SSD? If no, it might be a loading issue. If yes, please keep in mind that because of the way we did the missions, there is always a chance of minor CTDs to happen depending on your actions - it's like when you hit a car in GTA, characters stop talking.
  18. We counld't change anything related to the plane or buttons. If that were the case, it has to tweaks on the F/A-18C by ED. Sorry to hear that, can you share a few thoughts on what you didn't like, so we can maybe improve upon in the future, please? No ETA, system requirements depend on DCS's compatibility.
  19. Thank so very much for the kind words. We are very glad that players are appreicating the amount of work put into them :D. We want to implement videos in-game as well, if it ever become available to us (we think it will, not far in the future) we might as well do a "tactical map type of briefing" on top of the cut-scenes. Will take into suggestions on briefing pictures in the future and alter the format a bit in future projects (if DCS UI remains as it is now). We will keep searching for methods of story telling. Thanks for your support! Your vote from wallet is helping us achieving that goal. We will have 100% plowback ratio for these projects, but we do need it to at least break-even at the end of the day.
  20. Hey Marlan! Thank you so much for playing and your thoughtful review and feedback! We appreciate them a lot! -We are glad that you enjoy the story telling, a good many of us in the studio are Gundam fans indeed (myself included), so there is that lol. -General callouts such as missile calls/bomb calls/being locked called will be massively improved in future projects, we have new production structure set up for that. -We spent a lot of time behind the word setting, factions, and character conflicts. There are a lot of things to dig and find :D. Characters have histories and connections. -Thank you again for comments on locations and sets as well, we did it on purpose so that each mission can feel very different from each other while still making a strategical sense on the "big map". For you suggestions: - Will be taking that into consideration, especially for future projects! In that particular mission, we want the targets to be "easy" in a threat sense, but hard in a searching sense. You will find them doing 3/9 manuvers at times and radar can lose track. Also because of the small RCS, AWACS may not detect them all the time and show on your datalink. That was what we wanted to teach, too. - This is a tricky one as we need to change mission structures for some of them (ones that doesn't have a mother airbase), we will see what we can do. We will keep this idea in mind in future projects. Thank you and stay tuned! We will release a post tomorrow, summarizing the Rising Squall project and talk about a few more things. Best, FrankMT Producer INVERTED Ltd.
  21. Good idea
  22. Hey johodg, thank you so much for playing and your support. We appreciate the kind words. For your questions: 1 and 2, we have just came to know that pre-recorded control will force the mission to accpet "special" and "game preferrence" settings. For these two, we have two solutions. First, we will redo the pre-recorded controls in the March update patch and make sure special settings are set to the most popular preferrence - two eyes of JHMCS in this case. Second, we will standardize a type of labels that allows for a better experience - not a cluster-fxxx but players are still able to see stuff if they choose to turn it on. This is more of a quality of life thing but we think it's important, thanks for the heads-up. 3. The visual novels are English subtitled. We had to do the English VOs over the internet due to COVID. However, the result came out poorly without live directoring and standardized recording devices - a nightmare for post production. There is much more acting in them than in-mission dialogues. They are the connecting dots between missions and helps you understand the story better if you were to watch them - much more than info in briefing. Understood about the style, it is the best we can do with the budget for now, we have also made dedicated music (not be Keiki) and sound effects for them, we think the quality is decent for a visual novel. The campaign is built to be very light weight, that is why we didn't include much text in briefings. 4. For briefing pictures, you can zoom in with mousewheel. If not, you can always view the same info on kneeboard, which I personally think its easier. We have been in communication with ED about the last, we have strong faith about the future. Thanks! FrankMT INVERTED Ltd.
  23. You may find the answer in the credit mission. Don't tell other when you do lol, easter egg is part of the gameplay.
  24. We will take that suggestion seriously if we have that option in the future lol
  25. Hi Bravelink03, thank you very much for playing. That is very interesting, some hated us for Fruhling as they get so frustrated of the last bit haha, I'm glad that you liked it. Thank you for your kind words and support, it was a great relief for us as well, we are very happy that most can enjoy the campaigns. There are some very interesting things at Fruhling... Pay close attention to things in that "civil airfield". Don't tell me here if you find anything :D.
