Hi Max, thanks. Just saw it, been troubleshooting the Mosquito with other issues for a while, but i will look into this later. Confusing, now where's that frigging autostart buggin' me ... just committed a repair, it's still the same. can it be this in that config folder in the file options.lua, ["ground_engine_autostart"] is set to true; see pic: ------------------------------ BTW that whole saved games stuff in DCS, i wish there was a clearer system here or even 3rd party tool for the lot. Good tip on the backups, never realized this

Hi Terry. just bought it, but setting key, in my case G, for a gear up sequence is blanked out and no input reaction .. PS i dont have VAICOM nor a microphone set up on my PC. Anyway me as old fool cannot make any sense of the manuals instructions how f.i. set up G to toggle the mosquito's gear left and right to UP or Down.

Not that i can find, but I have my profiles in a separate folder on my F-SSD drive for Games, named 'DCS settings and profiles'. Always worked that way LoL.

yep, and also with carefully configured control settings for other planes like Spitfire etc., that worked OK before without autostart, and now autostart defaults all of a sudden always ... You can't stop it with Lwin + Home, you just have to wait it out ...

I have not used it so far, as i don't have VR. But i found the Mosquito needs a lot of roll and pitch trimming after take off. Is there a way to save those settings? Also some settings like simplifying radiator cowl flaps both with one key button or better auto functioning, and get the landing gear up and down with just one simple button press like G. Tried fiddling the control settings but there seems no easy way out.

Since i installed the Mosquito the L-Win + Home autostart sequence is always on. Also when i start another ww2 plane AND the Christen Eagle. So in general active at game start it seems. How can you switch that off? It's not with f.i helicopters, Su_25T BTW

Stuff like this fiddling makes using this great plane a lot less fun, it's also the reason i almost never use the helicopters i bought DCS for in the first place.

Why is it still select-able then (latest beta game version DCS 2.8.8.43704 Open Beta) ?

Yep, it's on, thanks for the tip ! BTW right now for some reason Auto start is always active, can't get rid of it with R-WIN + END. But i have lift off, with gameflight off !!

Good tip, but i am quite deaf, and also usually run sims without sound to 'save' what's left of my hearing abilities LoL Also i use chase view a lot, as cockpit view, especially with planes like a Spit and FWs take up too much away from the nice landscape views. I still have problems with runway lift off, it seems that take off speed is not getting above some 185 km/h whatever flaps, radiator or RPM setting i try. Main reason might be that there are so many other settings for engine-power to consider to get this DCS mosquito going. I get around with this Mosquito in IL2 much easier. I got take off assistance set to 100 even. What does Throttle Detent do BTW?

PS some times the keyboard button presses show up on my monitor, like Active Pause, or an autostart sequence, but things like radiator flap button presses won't. Is that something you can or must activate in some menu?

Mosquito Takeoff: 1) Fiddling around with all the relevant settings i cannot get lift off properly, seems like the engine power is too low. Set mixture rich, water-cooler flaps open, flaps on ... and sometimes an engine starts smoking white - failure. Also i cannot get runway speed above 185 km/h, seems not enough ... 2) Is there anyway to combine left and right engine assignments to the same button or axis on a Warthog throttle? I don't have that many switches on it ..

Probably not with ww2 aircraft then ...

what is mini-HUD? seems not present in the game ...

Who needs that flap lock anyway; just remove it!

Hi. Just trying the Mosquito first time, and setting up controls. I wonder if there are any bugs regarding Axis and also (some) keyboard buttons. -------------------------------- I started with setup via imported Spitfire mapping that works OK with the spitfire. Throttle, i selected the Flap button for up and down, but it does not seem to work? Saitek pedals: the toe brake functions for the left and right wheel breaks, are they programmable? Rudder works OK. I must be an idiot, or there are bugs ... setting up other planes went fine, but is the Mosquito buggy as for setting it up? If anyone has a working setup i would be pretty much interested ..... thnx J

Great stuff. Installing them how? With JSGME? PS i would love to see the infamous Karaboudjan for some fun time,, or even WW2 mission making ... someone would be extremely happy, but you might consider a different ship's name for possible copyright problems bu Herge"s family ...
