PFM..... but don't for a moment think AFM is inferior... the Su-25, su-25T and A-10a have AFM.... it is still way better than the SFM...but the differences between AFM, AF;+ and PFM are subtle. I would have never been able to guess that F-15 is PFM if we weren't notified per se. I think the PFM difference to AFM becomes more apparent with ASM.

I think almost all of the ED testers and partners may be running edge. I just think it is probably not yet feature complete with some graphical issues, artefacts, fixes needed for compatibility with wide range of hardware.
-
Thanks bud. ;) looking forward to it.
-
Did that include the F-15C trailer?? That looked more like current engine. :p Also... I meant a trailer highlighting new graphics update provided by edge. :)
-
I spy a DCS flaming cliffs : Su-27 trailer in there somewhere. :p lol! DCS EDGE graphics engine maybe? :p
-
If you have FC3, you shouldn't be able to see an A-10A, F-15 and Su-25 logo on the menu screen.
-
Good to know. Thanks. I guess maybe it will be implemented when ED fleshes out the radar systems in either the F/A-18C module or the full F-15C DCS module.
-
true indeed. :) that is pretty awesome. nice video. So modern radar can distinguish chaff from aircraft? If not shouldn't we be able to notice the false blips while in the F-15 radar during scanning?
-
Great job guys. Nice action indeed. :) And as usual... GA's cinematic flair is definitely present in there. He's like our community's Michael Bay. ;) Btw...at 1:08.. is that dust cloud/tumbleweed :p chaff?? Is chaff supposed to float around like that? I know its supposed to be some radar reflective material...but even flares slowly descent down to the earth (gravity effect).

Thanks ;)

Hey guys, Check this out. I was trying to watch some good old iron hand tutorials and comparing them with the F-15C manual in the new module when I spotted a video on the steam F-15C page. This I haven't seen before. It seems to incorporate the new PFM for the F-15C as well. It isn't published anywhere else on youtube etc. Looks like our friend GA's movie with the action, but hey, might be a stepped up internal ED production as well. ;) (PS: those steps/keypressed movement in the cockpit in the DCS Flaming cliffs 3 trailer was bad. :p ( ) Much improved here with track ir??) anyways..check it out: :thumb up: :music_whistling: http://store.steampowered.com/video/250300 cheers V

Maybe they are waiting for EDGE to be done and out as a public beta

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

But 3 is only the minimum. There is upto 6 flyables that they "have to" give away for the pledge of $40. So double your calculation at the least. Regd. 100,000 customers.. I think you are mistaken. Flight sims aren't that huge and given the fact that ED does such regular sales of at least 50-60%, most people who didn't back the projects with a >$40 investment will wait for those sales. Yes, they will lose faith in kickstarter campaigns for DCS products. But thats fine, at least it won't make them go deeply down in the negative if they indeed honour the complete kickstarter pledge. The logical solution here is to refund, deal with the anger of a few backers, but continue to release their products at the current more reasonable price points of $40 or $50 an aircraft. Once again...lets wait and see what the official decision is.
-
Mistakes happen. Look at all the botched crowd funded campaigns. ED were in support of the campaign, but RRG was the primary developer. ED personally are not obliged to deliver the results. Thats why returning/issuing credits or refunds to kickstarter backers maybe even to their ED accounts is the best way. That way you can use the money and buy the modules directly from ED.
-
Most RRG employees were recently inducted into ED. They were initially separate.
-
Thats true. Some of those screenshots in the Fw 190 page seem to be running in the current TFCSE. The last half looks like EDGE.
-
I think thats fair. I would willingly forgo my pledge as a support donation to ED to make them keep making amazing sims. But, realistically, can you expect everyone to do the same? I think the best option is to maybe refund the backers who are not willing to forgo their backing? 120K refund is not bad. Perhaps give an option. You can either refund the backer or give them an option to forgo the backing as a support donation to ED. You can get your name in the credits/acknowledgements for DCS world. I think this is the best. Honestly, I don't know the size of ED's customer base, but those 2500 who backed probably are the only ones who will buy these modules at full price. But yeah.. a dollar for 3 flyables is ludicrous. 4 for $20, the math doesn't make sense. Unless ED sells these aircraft as separate modules for DCS world, and waits an year or more for the full price sales to be done before releasing DCS WWII, there is no way for them to logically make this happen. I agree integration of DCS world and DCS WWII is the best. But not with the current financial structure. Unless ED resolve the kickstarter issue, if they integrate everything, ED will go out of business.

At the end of the day, the skill of the pilot will also make a difference. If its someone like me who doesn't know how to use an F-15 radar properly, a good Mig 21 pilot can easily sneak up and get the 4th generation aircraft.
-
Notice that it says DCS WWII. Other higher backers have DCS World. ED should do this. It is a smarter strategy. They just can't afford to give away so much development for free.
-
So basically if you pay only $40 like me and get the flyables. That is only for DCS WWII. DCS World is a separate sim. Thats a smart move ED. Good job! I am glad because that is the only way to get the financials to work out.
-
I understand the videos, but it's not just the same as the guided tutorials. Try the t toad tutorials in the current DCS world. It just helps so much more to have a guided lesson.

I don't know if it's becos of an off camera video, but that blue color of the ocean is spot on...dead real. The haze also looks perfect.

I haven't flown the F-15 since back in lock on days..so completely forgot about the radar systems etc. Would love to learn again with some nice interactive tutorials....so get to it ED. :p All I love to do now in F-15 is just fly around and land. :p
