I agree...I noticed that too..but thats a limitation of the current map...not to mention that when strafing ground targets in an A-10 or doing touch and go's with a PFM flanker, the plane based trees in the old map don't bother me any more. :p I am just excited to see a true evolution of the TFCSE from lock on days back in 2003. Its been a long time coming. :)

EDGE is looking awesome. I hope the special fx match the atmosphere in the new engine....just scrumptious. :p

Already have everything. Just bought Mi8 and F-15C at full price earlier this month. But well, glad to support ED. It always makes me curious how ED manages to make any money with such huge sales. I mean they have these things more often than steam and they undercut their products by such a huge margin.

It may be a plan in the future. Edge should allow skeletal animation for more infantry improvements. However whether ED will plan to make a full featured war simulator is extremely challenging with players like ARMA.

I am sure there are some aspects which are too laborious to model but add little to no significance to gameplay which are probably ignored by the devs.

Just chill. ED is working in concert with RRG on this project. Remember that they were willing to honour the Nevada pre-order even after the third party dev team dissolved. So I am damn sure that a developer such as ED will do anything they can to make sure this project doesn't go down. So... be patient. I am sure they will update us in time.

The teaser has every sign that it is made by Cato (Glowing amraam) and he does use post production to enhance the effect. Based on experience in the sim currently, I think the teaser was shot with EDGE, but the sound is definitely post production.

Damn... I had no interest in the sabre... but wow... that looks amazing. Fantastic model and once again fantastic productivity by Belsimtek. 3 modules + F-15 PFM in such a efficient time frame. Please make the Mig 29 and Su 33 AFM next. D1 purchase for me to support Belsimtek's efforts. :D

THis! ED have stated many times that "Balance" is not necessarily a critical factor in DCS line of aircraft. The F-15C in real-life does not have that MFD with that information and thats why you won't get it in the game. Another idea is to use your AWACS to ask for information.

I know a bunch of modders have inserted trees..but I have never seen anyone remove anything from the map. I think that may be hardcoded in the map itself.

IIRC HungaroJet was working on a project where he was improving all the old airbases with lights consistent to the new ones. I haven't really seen any updates on that recently though.

Dude...i never knew the pilot actually pulls like that on the ejection handles. Awesome. I still remember the basic black pilot with white helmet and black seat model from lomac.

This is not true. While they said that it is an eventual possibility, its not confirmed to be actively worked on right now. ED has other things on the horizon right now.

I don't think Normandy will be free. Its only for those who paid for the WWII module.

Honestly, I thought ED would do this too... jump up to version 2.0 as EDGE is a major update. I find it hard to believe they would rather slog through 1.0 in increments. If anything, EDGE would warrant atleast a jump to 1.5. Whatever it is...here's hoping that its sooner rather than later. :p

Only within the past couple of months have we seen EDGE being implemented in DCS...so I think that is the bottleneck right now. Once that is working, I wouldn't be surprised if Ilya updates us next with some in-game shots with the new IG.
