Looks like a hand hold to me.

I had the same issue. It is something that gets trashed in the DCS Registry System. I deleted all of my DCS registry files and it worked just fine. You will use another activation but it works now. Either you can wait for DCS to solve it or you can delete the registry files and use another activation. Good luck!

Crashing on connect to Master Server
Scooternutz replied to 112th_Rossi's topic in Multiplayer Issues
Still crashing on login. Still, after the new update, after a full reinstall, and all of the little tricks that don't work. -
I concur 100%

DCS: Black Shark 2 1.2.1, Now Available
Scooternutz replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Well I'll be! I installed BS1 (activated), DCS World, and then the BS2 Update and what do you know!!!! My activation doesn't work for the game I paid for. How cool is that?!! Update: All smart assness aside: I had to manually delete the DCS registry files and burn an activation for each module but hey, it works now. FPS sucks though. :( -

WOW!!!!!!! With FC2 that would take it to $70. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this? -
DCS: Black Shark 2 1.2.1, Now Available

I am wondering now if we have to have the original Lock On CD for Flaming Cliffs 3. I hope not. I did see it on Amazon for $20. So that will be about $60 bucks for a dumbed down sim with no clickable cockpit. -

It is no problem at all but it is needless and counter productive. -
DCS: Black Shark 2 1.2.1, Now Available
Scooternutz replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I installed the last 1.2.0 right from the module using my SERNO. No BS1 install. In fact I was really happy because it took ED more than a month to get me a new BS1 SERNO as I had used all of mine already. Sure am glad I have that new SERNO now! -
DCS: Black Shark 2 1.2.1, Now Available

All right! One key per module. Now I have to install an outdated sim just to get another sim that I paid for to work as well. Meh, I am just a little fish in the big ED pond. Now I am asked, from another thread, to go to Amazon and write a positive review? The decrease in FPS is just another aggravation. -
I concur. You will learn this. I went through a lot of trial and error and I still have a lot to learn. My flying experience is nothing short of amazing with HELIOS. It has changed the way I fly. It is as real as you can get without actually taking real flight.

Nevada...meh.

Why reinvent the wheel? Just do a third party add on and make it right, IMO.

Not boring, love it!

Please take a serious looks at X-Plane. You may be happy.

It is actually alive and well. There are, from what I can tell, ten times more simmers flying FSX/X-Plane than DCS and BMS combined at any one time. As I am writing this there are 363 pilots flying on VATSIM right now. On the weekends it can get in to the thousands. Who knew that flying a bus would be so much more popular than combat flying. I am with you on X-Plane! What a fantastic simulator. Take care. Scooter

I would pay for DCS World. Money brings better things. Flame me if you want. I am not motivated to try Combines Arms yet and guess what, I didn't buy it.

I bet you got excited! Shazow!! Got you!

I installed DCS World and all the modules and my FPS jumped up about 40 percent. Nobody told me about this. I have my exports and HELIOS working. Nobody told me it would be this easy. Flying Blackshark2 in DCS World is like being a kid on Christmas morning. Again nobody told me about this. So here is my beef. My face hurts from smiling for hours last night. I am at work and all I can think about is getting back home to fly some more. I did not get a headache configuring all my stuff. Is it really going to be this simple from now on? What have you done DCS? Seriously, great job and this exceeds my expectations in every way. Thank you!

Brilliant move for DCS to put these files in the Mod folder, about time. Thank you DCS!! I was jumping for joy when I found it. I am also exporting to HELIOS. I have it working just fine but I have to have two independent export files for each module. To enter the interface I open up a new profile in HELIOS and simply pointed to the DCS World directory for A-10 and Blackshark. Depending on which AC I am going to fly, I just rename a saved export. I have a folder in my export folder called HELIOS Export. I have two files, A10Export and BS2Export. These are the ones I copy/paste and rename. Not too much of a pain considering I can still use HELIOS. What we need is a master export combined but I do not know how to do that.

BS2 Upgrade Only for DCS World?
Scooternutz replied to Scooternutz's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Good deal then. I guess we can close this now. Thank you. -
Has this been released and I am missing something? If not, are there plans to soon? There are thousands of post and the search function is too broad.

If DCS releases an F-16, or a third party does, it would fare very well for DCS provided it is all AFM. Aside from the lack of a Dynamic Campaign, having the Viper would create a storm of pilots anxiously awaiting to fly an F-16 in DCS World. It would motivate me to learn the mission editor a lot more. The Viper has been home to many of us for more than a decade and somehow DCS overlooked that by not creating a multi-role fighter yet and has failed to make an announcement. I would even settle for a no we are not and that is why we have this third party project. Lets face it the Falcon Simulator was it and I think it is time to get back to that. There is a terrain project in the works for BMS, as far as I know it still active, referred to as FLARE. If that releases and DCS still has only the A-10 it will once again create tension between the two groups. I would love to see BMS do a VIPER for DCS. BMS is without a doubt the most advanced sim I have ever flown next to A-10C. Aside from the dumb flame war between DCS and BMS, BMS is top notch. I have a lot of experience with Naval aviation and BMS is solid and rivals many modern operational sims today. I would love to see a merge of these awesome developers. In closing, I have some reservations about the AFM and SFM debate. I hope that DCS does not become muddied as FSX is right now. There are thousands of add on worthless planes out there for FSX. In my opinion, any aircraft in DCS should be as advanced as allowed and should never be simplified. If a developer releases a simplified aircraft only for DCS, welcome to combat FSX.

Awesome! Thank you!
