well its almost like ED are single handedly keeping flightsims going. Im holding off buying IL2 WoD untill im sure that its not another arcade sim +i never really got on with thier last game/sim heh. Microsoft flight is a long long way off. Falcon4 is pretty much a dead end. I can count the number of decent developers (who care about thier customers) on my right hand. Cheers to you ED for a great program.

well its OT but Arma2 has more bugs than a Natural History Channel program about bugs =). But I still play it as its got something you dont get anywhere else. If only they would streamline thier multiplayer and get rid of all the "rubberbanding" that you only get with Arma hehe.

I loved flying in Nevada and cant wait for its return. The Black sea is great but It would be awsome to fly in a totaly new area hehe.

I believe a pilot should use all the tools that are avalible to him/her. The TGP is the best tool in the entire world ever! (well at least as for as CAS aircraft go =)) Learning to use the TGP to slave the MAV is worthwhile. Then again maybe you like to do it the old fasion way. But each to thier own :pilotfly: :joystick:

just thinking of the possibility of a fixed wing fighter from ED makes me go all giddy and drool like a big baby :) Would be awsome to have pilots in flighters protecting the guys/gals in thier hogs.

I dont use labels at all now unless its a MP mission thats got labels turned on =). I figured it was a bad habit that needed to stop asap. Yes I can spend ages hunting for targets but I find labels just give to much away. I have awful vision (40% reduced vision in left eye from birth) and would never be able to fly solo in anything thats not a simulator so im stuck with a 2D monitor. Any help from a 3rd party ie wingman/zoom/Jtac etc is welcome.

yay ai taxi and the effects.dll looks like they both fixed. Those 2 alone will make the sim much more pleasent to fly in =)

I love when you turn off mirrors (i tried to see if it was affecting FPS) they are turned upwards on the cockpit view instead of being removed =). I love little things like this. PS i did my first A2A refueling in MP today hehe, did ok and took 6000lbs! =)

there is a sound now with the latest update so you can hear a slight change in noise when you open them but its quiet at low speeds =)

yes the WH is worth every penny. Just the stick alone is a joy to fly with, NO deadzones, no floopyness like I had in my old x52. Just get the latest firmware drivers off the website and install them with the little program that comes with it. Joystick should be firmware 11 and the throttle should be firmware 20. Also the latest Target software lets you set the LED brightness even if you dont use it for mapping. Just out of intrest I use the Paddleswitch as a modifier and then you can assign buttons for zoom ect as its not used in the sim. Its also in the perfect place to use as a Trimmer switch if you fly the Ka-50 =)

have you tried ending the refuel and then requesting a refuel from the tanker a second time? i seem to remeber getting something like 7800lbs then reconecting and getting 9800lbs.

well ive had the Tm WH for about 2 weeks and its awsome. The stick is first rate and has no deadzones what so ever, Ive never had a stick before that didnt have a deadzone hehe. It also feels more solid so thats a bonus. Not too much force needed to move it but more then my old x52. The throttle on the other hand looks fantastic but I dont think it was build with the same care. Just yesterday 1 of the green backlights failed and I know other ppl who have noticed they fail alot. It works really well though since the new target version came out I turned all the LEDs off except 1 of the 5 selectable ones at the top (this is so I know its turned on :megalol:) I think the stick is more than worth the money so its ok.

I always use the TGP for finding my first target as it enables me to make sure they are the enemy. Then I use it to point the Mav in the correct direction and after im running in and fire the first one I then start using the Mav to try and get a second launch on the same run. I know some people can get 4 mavs in 1 pass hehe.

I found the tanker from the smaller arrow (cant remeber what its offical name is) but there is another direction indicator thats just an arrow, not the course indicator. Or maybe im just confused but im pretty sure thats what I do :smartass:

when I got my new PC a few months ago it came installed with software that makes the USB ports stay powered up for recharging phones/ipods etc. Maybe you have something like this installed without knowing it? I did a reinstall of Win7 anyway soon after it was deliverd so i cant remeber what it was called.

just do what I do and ask for ground power before any other step. I do this in multiplayer so I can get the system alighing whilst I am setting up the aircraft.
