  1. Cool sounds good, thanks -
  2. I happened to notice while testing something in a user made tomcat mission that while easy comms was set to 'on', wingman 4 was there as normal, but with easy comms 'off', wingman 4 is nowhere to be found. Wondering if you guys have different comms settings?
  3. Sure, happy to - With easy comms turned on, I was able to communicate just fine with the wingmen using the arc-182. I also saw the blue box appear with "F10 menu options available", which I'm pretty sure I didn't see on my first play through. Hope that helps, thanks again for putting these out there! I'm guessing for now, if I wanted to play the other missions I should set 'easy comms' on? edit just to mention I noticed that without easy comms set to on, wingman 4 was missing from the radio menu, with easy comms on they show up. weird, wondering if you noticed that too?
  4. Thanks for putting these out there! Had a lot of fun with the 1st mission, but for the life of me couldn't communicate with my wingmen. Tried both radios, entering the freq manually, nothing seemed to work so they never fired a shot (no matter how much I was begging them to). Entirely possible it was user error on my part, but wanted to mention it in case something in the mission needed to be tweaked. Thanks again -
  5. Bummer, it was really enjoyable getting to hop around and watch what other flights were up to. Thanks for letting me know though.
  6. Little late to the party with this one and had a question on external views. Played the first couple of missions and can't seem to view any other aircraft from F2 besides my own; is that intentional or did something change in an update you didn't want to? Finished (and really enjoyed) 'The Big Show' around a year or two ago and definitely could hop from aircraft to aircraft with F2 during the missions (made tons of screenshots either paused, cruising along, or riding the silk). Just now went in to pick a mission and try it out, and it seems only the external view of your plane is allowed. It's working for me otherwise in DCS so don't think it's user error (although I'm certainly not above it!) so wanted to check in here. Thanks!
  7. Just a little bump - Think it might be worth it to make a post with my tracks in a different sub-section? AI bugs, or perhaps sound bugs? I could also very well be missing an already existing thread on the issue that has a 'reported' or 'investigating' tag.
  8. I'm getting the same issue, I could swear it was fixed at one point? Or if not fixed, at least toned down somewhat... either way it's here with a vengeance. Attaching a track, no mods; it really does kinda ruin the mission. (edit to add another track, the first one was from the single mission 'HB Tomcat Iran Flogger Faceoff', the second one is the first mission of 'operation cage the bear'). Edit (last one!) to add a third track, the first mission from the old jane's f-15 campaign that someone (an awesome someone) rebuilt for the F-14. wingman repeating callouts over and over.trk vampire north wingman constantly repeating callouts.trk first mission of janes campaign wingman repeating callouts forever.trk
  9. This has been on my own personal wishlist for a couple of years now, apologies if there's already a thread. What prompted me to post now is that those newly added WWII single missions have (well done) new comms. Granted, they are only heard at the beginning of the mission, but when your flight counts off it really seems like they have 3 different voices. Is it crazy to hope that new voices might coming soon(ish)? This year maybe? Feel like it would be weird to get 3 different people to just record one phrase, right? Maybe I am grasping at straws? I hope not!

  10. Having a weird issue with spitfire controls (since the last open beta update). I'll start the sim, fly a mission and have no controller response at all, then I can restart and they're back. Not quite the same as what you guys are reporting but curious if anyone else has been having this?
  11. Tried with the latest (461.09) nvidia drivers in case anyone was curious, flashing still there. Instant action 'dogfight' mission over Normandy. Getting a little frustrating as it's been almost 6 months, hopefully someone from ED can pop in and give a word once a month or something (even if the word is 'we know it's there we're trying to fix it, sorry it's taking so long). I got super into a spitfire campaign and have shelved it since the summer waiting for a fix.
  12. No G-sync or FreeSync here either.
  13. Still happening. Channel map, flying the spit in one of the new instant action missions. Bummer.
  14. Thanks!
  15. Got that last night along with the white flashes when flying a mission (Epsom campaign in Normandy). Looks alarmingly like a videocard overheating/dying. Glad to hear it's probably not that at least! Naturally I forgot to try turning the off the gamma correction before I started the mission, hopefully I'll remember if I get a chance tonight. Looks like there's an open beta update today, so maybe the issue will be gone anyway. (edit - sorry looks like you posted while I was typing. That looks a little more dramatic than what I was seeing, but since they are 'flashes' it's hard to say. If I have time I'll fly again tonight and see what's what. Thanks for posting)
  16. Have noticed the same issue as well since the update, but I can't say I've ever noticed it before. This is in Normandy, but that's the only map I've had a chance to fly yet. I'll try setting the gamma correction in Nvidia to 'off' and see if it helps, thanks for posting.
  17. Seems that this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=263584&page=3 had the answer I was looking for, specifically the part of this post about ''speech related sound mods"
  18. Sorry if this is obvious, but it sounds like if I wanted to use one of the 'British voice packs' mentioned in this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=180671&highlight=UK+voice&page=7 I'm currently out of luck? I've had some time to get back into playing after a while and having a great time with the spitfire, was hoping to use one of these packs but can't seem to make it work in the usual (jsgme) way Thanks
  19. Thanks a lot for your help. I went looking around in that folder and actually found a couple of 'modifiers.lua' files. Opened them up and saw the listing for 'button 4' along with the default modifiers, so I backed the files up and deleted them. Things are back to working as expected so far - thanks again
  20. Hi all - I've had the paddle switch (button 4 on the warthog) added as a modifier for a long time, but am trying to remove it now as I'm trying out a new way of setting up my stick. I'm not using any mapping software, just doing everything straight from dcs which has usually worked just fine (using the openbeta) Problem I'm running into is that I can select the button to 'remove' from the modifier section just fine, but after closing out the game and reopening, the modifier is back. Anyone else run into this? I ran a repair on dcs, saved the profile after I remove the modifier, not using any mods.... Thanks!
  21. So far this looks great, played around in the first mission for a bit and the only issue so far is that I'm still hearing the same old pilot/wingman/tower voices for my flight that have been around for ages. I can hear the new dialog for the additional flights and their controller on comms A (which sound great!), so I'm wondering if there's an issue, or has there not been new dialog recorded for the pilots of your flight?
  22. Thanks, found em! That's a lot of clicking, maybe in the future you could have them show up when you click on 'missions/single' for the F-5? I suppose there's no reason I couldn't copy them there myself I guess... anyway just a thought.
  23. All the missions both Campaign and Single Player are available under this path: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\campaigns\F-5E ACM To play the Single Player missions, select the Mission Menu Item from the main game menu and then keep selecting the folder icon at the top of the list until you get to the level that displays the aircraft, campaigns, tech, terrain folders. Select the campaigns folder, then the F-5E ACM campaign folder. Then select the mission you want to play. See attachments below. Documentation for the campaign can be found under this path: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\campaigns\F-5E ACM\Doc
