It seems like the Sensor Switch is similar to setting the SOI (Sensor of Interest) as selecting a particular switch allows you to us the TDC cursor and you can tell that sensor is active by the little diamond that displays in the upper right corner of the DDIs. So, if I can't slew my TDC cursor on the Radar DDI, I quick hit the right Sensor Control switch and now the cursor will move from parked position...so basically in AG and NAV mode the Sensor Control Switch = SOI...it'd be nice if they give us a SWAP LEFT/RIGHT DDI button

Hey, just noticed this about the Sidewinder! :)

Janes Super hornet had that I believe like twenty years ago -
Every time I try to update my currently listed email (in the forum) to my existing email, I get a failed message saying that my email I'm trying to switch to, is already in use...well, of course it is. The email that you have now as my contact email, I haven't had for years

Have you tried going thru the kneeboards by using the brackets "[" and "]" after SHF + K ?

Very nice, I love it...thanks

There's STT currently??? I see no indicator showing that and a second depress of the TDC sensor does not put it into STT....so what gives?

Why is the HUD airspeed indicator always showing 48 kts while jet is stopped on the ground?

What is the difference between "ATC Engage/Disengage switch" and "Autopilot/Nosewheel steering Disengage" switch?

My gun trigger is only single stage and I have GUN SECOND DETENT assigned to it...but I find that my A2A missiles are also using it...I thought "Weapon Release" would take care of all weapons besides the gun...why are missiles firing thru my gun trigger?

My very old TM quadrant had it...but those periphs had to be plugged into parallel ports not USBs

BTW, that reminds me, what would be a good function to assign to the remaining slider lever next to the two engine levers on the quadrant? It would have to be a function that is meant to be controlled with an axis (analog) as opposed to a function that works better as discrete steps. For example, I tried assigning radar elevation and that was a disaster...that function was better suited to a button for Elev. UP and one for Elv. DOWN...this way the position would not drift...can't assign flaps because there's only three settings for that...any other ideas?

Nope, my quadrant's three sliders (levers) have no AB detent, just 100% mil at the top and when levers are placed there (at least the two that I have set up for thrust), the engines hit burners after about a second or two...to just get 100 mil I actually have to bring them down to about 75-80%. These levers do have an IDLE detent which I have set as such and this allows me to go through cold start up ops. I have no problems launching

What's Throttle Finger Lift (Both) used for?
-
Ok yes, this is what I was thinking...I can remember from my older sims that a second press on the designate while locking a Twiz tgt would automatically put you in STT mode...is that what you're referring to? Is there or will there be also be a cycle tgts mode while in Twiz? Thanks, bear with me :)

Hi, I'm in the process of setting up controllers. I have CH Fighterstick, Saitek Pro Pedals, Razor Tartarus Keypad (8 switchable keymaps with 15 buttons per map, joystick/rocker switch and paddle switch), Logitech Flight Throttle Quadrant, and TrackIR 4 so I'll be asking pretty many questions....1) The key Undesignate/Nosewheel Steer switch...does this dual function switch "unlock" targets in STT mode and/or ground targets that were locked with GMT or other AG modes? Is this what the Undesignate function means? If so, I thought you could un-designate a target or " unlock" it just by hitting the Designate button a second time after locking. So do I really need an undesignate button? Thanks, more questions to come :)

I just wanted to make sure that I am distinguishing between the cage/uncage for the HUD versus Cage/Uncage for the Sidewinders...they are different aren't they (button-wise)?
-
Yeah, I know what you're saying but honestly? You could ask that about ANY of the automated functions...now to get back to my question, many of my old combat flight sims actually HAD this type of AP mode. I was just wondering whether we could expect it with this module...the reason I use it, is to set up things I want to do before I get to Bullseye
-
Ok thanks all....I understand now
-
When would I use this?
-
This might have been asked already, but will we be getting an AP mode that auto follows the waypoints and makes the turns for you?

Some questions about the Early Access product

I think if you read carefully, the OP asked if they were bugs or not. That is an appropriate post. -
the pullup after cat shot is a bit exaggerated?

Check this out...I've been slowly setting up my devices and as I've been going thru the training missions, I always put the axis mini graph ( R-CTL ENT) up as I start off to check if my stick, throttle and pedals are centered or zeroed as they should be before I take off. EVERY single time I start, the pedals show that the toe brakes are locked in the full depressed position and I must first hit "W" to release them. Once I do, the graph curves fall back down to the bottom of the graph, which I take to mean that they are now fully off. So, I have inverted the axes for both brakes and now they start off in the full off position. Someone mentioned to check to see if your brakes are inverted, this may fix your problem. If you want a picture, let me know

Are you kidding me...with all the leaks in DC and the leaking Washington Post and NY Times, I hardly think the word classified means anything anymore. Besides, the LB has been in services for how long now? I'm sure the Army has updated this platform an uncountable number of times from the AREA 51 site
