  1. Yeah, and you know they had the tech to do it way back then. So here's a "feature" that you know should have been designed into it to begin with (and the very fact that they were bolted, shows that they were intended to be removed. Otherwise, why not weld it to the frame to begin with? But so we stay as "original" as possible, we don't allow for the emergency capability of ejected pylons...especially the wing pylons 2,3, 7, & 8
  2. For the sake of aerodynamics and fuel efficiency...hence the word "should"...no one can argue that the plane is more aerodynamic with the pylons on....here's a wrench, unbolt them

  6. I can remove pylons WOW if I do a Re-arm, but not jettison them...two different situations

  9. Yeah, I see that...but if you look closely, you can see the letters ADV- ....I thought the OP was saying that his line was cut in half as if it was scrolled down past the viewable area of the DDI..IOW the info that follows the ADV - , was not readable on the left DDI
  10. Op can correct me if I'm wrong but I think he meant that the readout was being cut off on the Left DDI and neither of the others

  14. Ok, I tried it again with AV8B and same thing happens...so this would be a DCS World matter? And not a F18 problem?
  15. I just saved a track and decided to watch it....after it was over I quit and was taken to the briefing as I expected...I then decided to "Fly Again". This put me back watching the tracked I just saved. It was not a new attempt. I should have been placed(spawned) back in the cockpit as any Fly Again selection would have done at mission debriefing...this just keeps putting me back in the spectators seat

  18. Let's be more clear. You're saying that once Sidewinders are selected, then and only then Uncage only applies to the missile. It's not just being in A2A mode, or perhaps just being in ACM mode? It has missile pertinence only when IR missile is selected? Thanks

  20. Quick question on radar topic here....when you are in ACM mode with 9Ms selected and you decide to uncage your missiles, how do you know you're not just uncaging your HUD?
  21. There was a video around that showed you can actually fly the plane with wings folded. The guy who made it actually took off and then landed safely...so, definite bug
  22. I just change preset 1 on Comm 1 to airfield freq. and change Comm 2 preset 1 to AWACS No probs this way.
  23. Then AWACS is your best friend...the only other way I can visually see them is if I get lucky enough to see their exhaust plumes...otherwise , you're trying to find a "microdot" on a moving geographical canvas....I'd rather "Overlord, this is Uzi 1-1, requesting Bogey Dope"
