Low visibility??? Heck, this HUD is darn near unreadable on a nice sunny day...why can't they offer this as a dusk color and just plain black for LOW VIS situations?
Hi, I just got this after going with EA on the FA-18C a few weeks ago. On the f18 sim, this functions works for BOTH Sidewinders AND HUD....same with AV8B or can't you uncage the HUD in the Harrier sim? Thanks
Oh and is there any other colors for the HUD readout? I mean, besides the baby blue they have now that blends in so well with the sky? Thanks again
ADV probably stands for "Advisory"...things that need your attention...you don't get rid of that marker...if there's nothing to attend to, it's just blank after ADV - ....I'm thinking it is still due to being WIP
I hit those exact same buttons and the stick is still there...oh, and the speed brake doesn't work either...I've pressed B, CTL+B, and SHF+B and get nothing (the brake is under the tail section of the fuselage, isn't it)
Neither is Hide Stick...BUT I have no RWin, just a LWin....my right win button has a menu function displayed and associated with it. So how do I hide stick without the RWin?
Looking for a good "walk around" in cockpit familiarization training missions...surely those can be published now so we're ready when the rest of the features are implemented...reading the "Pocket Guide" too cumbersome...I like to see what is being referred to in simulation
I may have missed it, but why is there not just a simple toggle for Speed Brake? One button assignment that when pushed once either extends or retracts it and the next push does the reciprocal. Why isn't this easier than what they have? From what I've read, the brake is either FULLY extended or FULLY retracted. There is no partial settings in the real plane
Yep, I see it now...yeah I don't know if that's a bug or what...you'd think that rotation of the knob to the left, would yaw left, but it yaws to the right...yep, could be another WIP (not allowed to say bug...shhhh)
I have ten more tracks where that came from. Let me know if you need more. This happens EVERY landing on the carrier.... I can't for the life of me figure out why you don't see it on your end (support)...perhaps it has something to do with video settings, just spit ballin' here
You're not referring to using the coolie hat on the stick, cause that's just for pitch and roll...just making sure we cover all types of control surface manipulation. So you are adjusting the rudder trim via the FCS page on the DDI (or have shortcut buttons to assign this)?
I think the symbol should be a diamond and not a square that has been rotated 90 degrees. Right now, we have the latter. And yes, there is a difference. When you're turning with head movement on, it is easy to mistake a diamond for a square with your head turning. A diamond should be a rhombus with four equal sides but no 90 degree angles. The mind is quicker to see that kind of figure and distinguish it from a square rotated...OR we could go with enemy diamond red and friendly green... :)
And your rudders work normally? What I mean is, when right rudder pedal is fully depressed, you yaw left? I'm trying to distinguish here between making rudder trim via FCS page and using the rudder pedals
Now if you watch the track, my plane has the vortices on the tips just as I'm coming in on the glideslope...now that's not right and it's not my spawn point either
