So are you saying it's a WIP or Bug that should be looked at...If Fightson says you should be able to uncage the GACQ lock from the HUD, and taking it back to "training Funnel", then maybe ED should look at that, cause right now, uncage will not release focus edit: in fact, you may not be able to release the heater cage on your "winders"...haven't tried that yet...obtw, thanks "Unknown" for the response
  4. Nope, still auto-locks tgts via GACQ no matter how many times I hit the Uncage button and will not go back to gun funnel, but thanks for idea Try Instant Action "AA Radar" mission for confirmation...use labels to make it faster
  5. Yep, that's nice but I wish the cursor would stay where I left it on the radar screen, instead of having to slew it from it's parked spot in the upper left corner of the screen all over again after I either lose lock or disengage from a target
  6. First off, this seems very inconvenient to simply turn off the radar..but that didn't work. I first tried switching to another DDI page but the TGT was still locked, then I turned off the Radar switch on the right arm console, still did not break lock....in fact, now I couldn't even release the lock with the Stick pinky switch, and of course, the Sensor Select castle hat was now inoperative...any other suggestions?
  7. How do you get to practice using the gun funnel, if the HUD automatically switches to ACM GACQ mode? I'd like to fly a few ACM with guns only but I do not want to use GACQ? I'd like to use the gun funnel...what's the purpose of showing the funnel, if you can never use it.

Sorry, if you already know this but STT still flickers between two targets that are directly in front of you...but this only happened in VACQ...also when going to guns, targets are automatically locked by what appears to be GACQ, but there is no HUD moniker displayed to tell you that. WACQ appears to work as you can see and BST has always worked for me. I'm including the track since the topic title has not been changed to include more, dare I say bugs, than just STT obtained by locking up a blip on the radar..at the very end, you can see the lock flickers back and forth between targets....again, sorry if this is all known acquisition_modes.trk
  9. I find that VERY hard to believe, since that has been out for how long?? If Jane's can produce AH-64D, what, 20 years ago, I seriously doubt there's classified stuff on this. Unless it's hidden away with the classified material at Roswell....now let's get this chopper on the board...and not just the regular Apache, but the Longbow too...classified, bs

  11. Yeah, I'm not sure how the computer could discriminate this anyway. There would have to be a unique signature of the last plane you locked, that could be used for rejection in the following acquisition

  13. Well, won't we eventually be able to fine tune the HUD designation with the FLIR? Is there a handoff to FLIR? Edit: I changed my axis tune to Sat X: 100 Sat Y: 40 Curv: 100 for both horizontal and vertical and it seems to work very well for me...even the radar cursor moves smoother now and moves fast enough and accurately enough to lock a blip with cursor
  14. Yes, good suggestion... I do have the radar cursor's vertical and horizontal movement assigned as axes to a gamepad 8-way hat (alas, not the expensive Warthog throttle) and perhaps I can tune it better until they address this....thanks for the info
  15. Wow, just tried the HUD slewing and it is wild and jerky...not smooth...is this the resolution you're referring to?

  17. In "Action Slew", is the TGT designated when you release the action button? And will we get this eventually?
  18. Accuracy of what? deployment of ordinance or designation of target or both? Because I cannot seem to get the Target accurately tagged via the HUD designation with the velocity vector

Thanks for responding...I thought for sure, the F18 was capable of doing this...mentioned it one time in the forums here, and someone wanted to know if I wanted to have the plane fly all by itself...there are a whole bunch of things you can set up while the plane is following the wpts and if ingress is low, you definitely will appreciate having this type of AP
  20. If you ask them to do a repair it may change the order of priorities, not sure maybe they only start repairs when you shut down...just thinking
  21. The "WIP" shield doesn't apply to something that supposedly has been "Fixed"...I don't really care if they would announce that it actually had NOT been fixed (retraction), but I haven't seen this....would like clarification here

  23. You probably have seen this, but I thought it was so interesting, it was worth posting....One feature they mentioned was how the plane will automatically level out if the pilot goes into G-LOC...very informative
  24. Does your stick have throttle and rudder wheels...if so, these could be affecting your in-game throttle default zero position...if not try setting a deadzone of 4 to start and move it up little by little to minimize the zero drift...perhaps even cancel it
