  1. Ok I have a picture here I also have the track, how do I send it?
  2. Yes, I have one...will send it along
  3. Uh, yeah but if I saw a donkey landing on the carrier and confirmed it was a donkey and not a horse, it'd still be a problem...I mean, if the whole point of even adding a wingtip vortex was to create realism, then this just squelched it
  4. Anyone see this? Is this a problem with the wing tip vortices after the update? It sure looks strange I had just landed on the carrier and taxied to the deck and was checking my flaps when I saw all these swirling smoke or vapor circles trailing off the wingtips...something's not right about that
  5. 56X or 57X or others depends on which carrier
  6. Diamonds are a jet jockey's best friend
  7. I would think that if you have your HUD altitude set at Baro, then your warnings would be from the Baro level set and same for Radar Altitude
  8. 20mm (F-18 ) vs 30mm (A-10C)...hmmm, yeah it must be a bug that the Hogz inflict more damage than the Hornet
  9. Thanks David, I found that the POV is assigned to that Hat by the controller manager, in this case CH Fighterstick. so now I have to remove that function of the controller software and replace it with keyboard presses with modifiers so I can assign Trimmer Left as Rctl + , for instance....it's ok, I'll figure it out thanks a lot
  10. Ok, I checked my settings on the Stick coolie hat...strange, they are all JOY_BTN_POV1 X, X=U, D, L, or R....I'm thinking that the sim sets this hat as a default "point of view" mini joystick and when I assigned this hat as Trim adjust Up, etc., it carried along the POV designation...does that sound right?
  11. I think that's the problem. Since I don't really use the trim that much, I may have missed noticing it. I have to hold the hat up for around thirty seconds and then it changes just one degree...but it does this in all directions
  12. Problem may lie in the coolie hat....the pot may be worn. But I have to wait about 30 secs with hat up or down to change just one degree
  13. No, just retired. I used that name twenty years ago...check the profile
  14. Coolie Hat??? Wow, that takes awhile for it to change just one degree...Do I make individual presses or just hold it up or down?
  15. Ok I see that I can change the pitch, roll, and yaw from the stick input while watching the DDI. Now how do I lock it at, let's say 16?
  16. Are there OSBs for UP and Down from the default 12 deg?
  17. Question: How do you set the trim for 14 deg or 16 deg depending on weight before launching on a carrier? Is this done thru the UFC?
  18. Yeah, I know what you mean like a DIVERT page giving you the frequencies, or auto-course headings by selection ON the DDI's (ala A-10C and others perhaps)
  19. Yeah, what he doesn't know is that the USN is busy coming out with REAL updates to the platform on a weekly basis, because they heed "THE NEED FOR SPEED" from these very same internet experts....just sayin'
  20. It's just like you car's cruise control...in that, you can't select the speed by dashboard entry either...but you can attain the speed you want and lock it there with ATC...My only question is that when you disengage ATC (A key bind), why can't you "Resume" by pressing "A" a second time? Hmmm, I know, that would require making another key bind (for erasing the set speed)
  21. No, no, no...that's not right if it only works that way...You should be able to remove the pylons WHENEVER you can ask the ground crew for a new loadout...not just via the ME...the empty slots just create more drag
  22. Really? I don't see a "Missile Volume" knob...so does that mean we got a new bug???:music_whistling:
  23. I agree...just a bit louder would do...can live with it until I go blind....then it needs to be louder...definitely
  24. So, I guess it's not important
