LOL I Knew 50 Guys just like you in the Military. Funny very Funny In My Huey he works the phew phew gun and I operate the launchers. He does whatever I tell him to do and when I tell him Our Huey needs Blinker Fluid for the Nav lights or Our Huey needs a new PU-55Y Cable he goes to Supply for them EVERYTIME. He pays my Bar Tab at the end of the Night. He put pictures of his Girlfriends on My Huey dash that I steal for my nighttime enjoyment. He Sucks but He's all I got and I think all the time I wonder Why he is needed and just what does he Do?

I made a Mission for the Huey It is a modded mission so I can't ask ED for help it has the mods UH-1H Attachments Mod FRENCHPACK V4.9.1 Update on 27/O4/2O22 MASSUN92´s ASSET PACK for DCS DCS WWII Asset Pack It is crashing on me shutting DCS Editor Program down. It starts with Tree areas not being removed. I go to look to see if Clear Tree Zone A was in the at mission start commands and it was but then a lot of screen flashing lines and highlights of very fast things then Crash shut down DCS I do not have the ability to troubleshoot it to find out why or what is wrong corrupt or damaged in it. If you feel you can do that I have posted the mission on my Google drive it is 80mb large I changed all the Huey skins to ingame skins for this help. It is a Vietnam mission I am working on and I just don't want to kill all my editor work on what I have done to this point. The Mission can be downloaded by anyone with the link I will give. If you would help me fix it I can PM you the link. With hope on my part and Skill on your part maybe this mission can be fixed. I have no Problem PM the link to more then one person for the help. It is nice and quiet here. He sees nothing out of place so he starts to backup and then Gun fire Machine Gun fire hits his Patrol Car He slams on the Gas and goes over a elevation change wall and calls for help Officer Under Fire Requesting Backup at Nakatomi Plaza!!! (The new Building you put in the game) THEN I come in Flying my HUEY and save the Day You know the one with the FBI guy in the Door You Remember that one Right? Yippee Ki Yay

I didn't understand you as clear as I thought. If you wonder if you should go with a Nvidia over the AMD Card I thought it was a done deal, I would go with the 3090 after having the AMD I like it it is a good card but when I did my build upgrade you could not find a 3090. lol I picked a bad time to upgrade. If you can and still have the ability to do so. It would be a better pick. Sorry I thought the AMD was all you had. Still Whatever you do Best of Luck.

2.8 Stable version I recall the issue with AI personnel was reported in 2.8 beta and now with 2.8 Stable official is this still broken? I can not get AI to work with waypoints. Group Active WP 0 to Hold WP 1 about 98 feet away I had to delete him from a mission because he would become active next to a Humvee and run off in every direction randomly picked by him, Then at some point drop to one knee point his weapon then get up run to the last hold task waypoint or past it or wherever he was happy with and stop. Please tell me if I am at fault here. Mission editor 2.7 Put down a Soldier that has WP. Add 1 WP #1 Add Hold Task to WP #1 Name Soldier Message man in mission editor and make him a late activation next to a Humvee spaced away from the Humvee but close. Group active Message Man in editor set. he would do every thing above just fine. in 2.8 it don't matter if I do it the same or ADD WP 0 Go to Waypoint 1 Task or not like in 2.7 he comes into the mission and the crazy run around starts. Broken is Broken and Bugs are Bugs and time can fix anything But if it is my editing please help me learn the correct way to make the AI foot Soldier to Do his Duty in my mission. SAM sorry don't know what that is so no. 50% on the Custom Render scale I run and to me it has a Small amount of reduced Image but not that bad and the only reason I do that is because I want to run Shadows On (BIG FPS KILLER) and only 2 of the 3 on because I love the look in the Huey with Shadows in the Cockpit and low to the ground. With Shadows on I get 40 to 47 FPS but only at 50%. With Shadows off and 100% I am still at 50 to 60 and 60 to 90 I am still testing things. One other thing I did because I want to record my VR screen is to manually set my Screen resolution in DCS to 2160x2160 using the one eye for VR with the Vr Mask Removed/off by editing the Shader file for the VR desktop Screen in the core DCS install. I run a X570 gamer x MB with a Ryzen 9 3950x 16 core 64GB mem with VR I am just now (I'm old) getting to Underclocking My Red Devil RX6900xt I am on the Stable Version DCS Stand Alone NOT STEAM I run WMR settings 90 FPS set for Quality Open xr Developers Toolkit with Motion Reprojection Always OFF on Custom Settings with a Custom Render Scale of 50% for (HP G2 VR headset) Then in the Open XR Toolkit Companion Program is set up for Turbo and Open Companion to stop Steam VR. I have been getting 30 to 45 FPS with Motion Reprojection Always on BUT tonight after the above setup with the Underclocking on the GPU and Turbo on in Open XR Toolkit Companion My FPS has jumped to 60 to 70 in my Only before 30 to 45 FPS Missions and my 45 FPS Missions to 70 to 90 FPS in my other missions WOW I am late to the Game doing this but Make sure you underclock the GPU AMD cards work good this way. Do Not think it will hurt the card it will not. Good Videos on YouTube on how to do it. I and running on HIGH settings in DCS and all of the sliders are set to about 80% full right side. I can't Show Open XR Toolkit Composite Menu because it is only viewable in the VR headset but under Performance is Turbo Mode ON or OFF it is ON

On one of the Biggest MSFS Guys announced that HP is ending its G2 and pulling out of VR. They have supported him and given him gear. They were the first support his channel so It is very good source for this news. If you wanted to buy one or upgrade to one I would do so before they start becoming hard to find and the price goes up. This is sad news because HP G2 is the BEST MID range VR headset without it your limited on Mid range units.

I had to Copy the link go to Google paste the link in the search field and then it downloaded the Miz file. I paused my Add Blocker for DCS here but clicking on the ILOVE THIS JOB v2.0 would not download the file. Might be a Forum thing or a my computer thing. I understand, so the answer to the question is Yes. BUT you would need to replace the file from DCS (Keeping the original in a safe place) If you feel it does not help the Huey then put the original file back. Every update ED makes will remove the Mod file and restore the original so I have to keep putting the modded file back into DCS after a update happens. Just keep in mind this has been reported to death and bumped up several time and just never gets addressed so My thoughts are you may just need to live with it or try the only fix around made by ams999 that is a true game changer for the Huey skin problem. You need to add a Moving trigger zone to the Enemy aircraft so you enter into it and out of it. then you need to tell the mission editor to play the sound file when in the zone. PLUS to stop playing the file when out of zone. You will have a problem with the sound file playing over and over till you leave the zone. I have done this very thing in a mission I made called Hell of a Day at Sea. it is a Huey mission and you can download it and look at how I did this in Detail. I use a ship with 3 moving zones Far Mid and Close and you enter Far you hear a fog horn it will play 1 time every 60 sec. Then when you go into the Mid zone the horn gets louder it is a new sound file and the first one stops playing. Then when you enter Close it again gets real loud and the Mid range one stops. I am using what I call a Loopback to delay the sound file for 60 sec and then it will check to see what zone you are in and play the correct sound file I want. I use 3 zones on 1 ship but 1 zone will work for you. Just a look at the loopback I made for this and you will need to use the Repetitive type to do this. So when the Flag value is 1 you are in the zone and when the flag value is 2 you are out of the zone and the sound file stops.

Do you use the File made by ams999 for the huey? Read his Post top of Page 1. I add it to all my Skin Downloads and tell people to install it to fix the Huey issues to see and use the skins as they should be seen this also includes this glass issue. Backup the original file first then replace with his. Yes Sorry I seen the OP I just don't understand the need for this. I can't see a need for not being a Pilot or Copilot in control of the Cargo. I'm failing to see the point of this. Sorry for that. Crew members in the back seat can't release Cargo in real life in a Huey so I'm puzzled as to why the need? My fault not yours.

In the discription.lua file of my custom Vietnam skins I put the bottom custom arguments in to keep the pipe and front gun mount off with the back gun mount on and the side doors open. I would only do this to your custom made skins not any DCS Hueys My custom skin below has the same custom arguments in the lua file no pipe no front gun mount side doors open. I thought this was fixed in 2.8 and after just making a large Vietnam skin pack for the Huey I would go in and out of the game and the Tail section for me would be matching the Body but the Shine was not removed so for me in 2.8 the flat dull tail now matched the shine on the body. (note no other aircraft have this shine just the Huey) I waited till all the skins were made then replaced the ab_212_lods_json file with ams999 made file and the more realistic Military Flat textures just look real and not as bright and the shiny texture. I did this several time to compare DCS file then am999's file and had the same results. I just use ams999's file. They had to of worked on it or done something I feel but it still is not as good as ams999's version.

Forgive me but the last picture of 2 trucks in regard to the color is not a good match for any OD Green Military or Dark Olive Drab. It has to much Yellow in it and looks kind of Metallic to me but Still nice work and thank you for creating the skins. Good Job

FPS keyboard command Right Ctrl + Pause/Break key

Question on this model. From the Video I was under the Impression this is a Modern Version of the CH-47 Right? I know nothing about the CH-47 and have no Idea the Versions or the updates they went through. I was kind of sad that it was not a Vietnam era version. I honestly am on the fence now about buying this because of it. Like I said "I know nothing" about the CH-47 but I will say I feel it pulling at my wallet for some reason. If it was a Vietnam era version I honestly think it would be a done deal for me.
