  1. Something going on with lighting of environment, does it really bad when on ground or low level flight. During daylight it's like the sunlight turns off and everything covered in heavy fog. During night flight it goes completely black, can't even see instrument panel, then slowly fades back in after about 30 seconds. fogging.mp4
  2. having same issue, especially on my displays when moving TDC, it's like the "mouse trails" feature on windows desktop.

  5. Thanks @cfrag, will def start studying up on it. I was just cordoning off regions on the PG map, and curiosity just struck while I was using the trusty late activated unit polygon zone piped through MOOSE. I used the draw tool to make the detailed, regional zones visible on the F10 map, and became curious if there were a way to use the polygon created with the draw tool for both my needs, both representing on the map and being the trigger zone. Nothing major, just figured the ppl who know what they're doing (unlike me) probably had already came up with a way to do this. I think I have a secret need to complicate things more than I need to, lol.
  6. I know it's probably covered somewhere in the forums, but I haven't found it yet. Is there a way I can use scripting to create trigger zones from draw tool polygons. If so, could someone point me to the forum topic covering some examples of it? ty
  7. Thanks @No1sonuk, just so happens those are the ones I went with in order to save myself some room on the internal side. Now I'm looking for the final parts I need, which are some alphanumeric displays for the UFC displays. I've got the ones for my radio channel indications, but I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what would be best for the freq display and the other 5 on the right hand side of the number pad. I'm not going all out on my panel but I would like to have those alphanumerics displayed. Thanks again for the input on the toggles!
  8. I'm ordering the switches for my Hornet UFC, was looking for info on the ADF 1-off-2 toggle switch. I know I need a 3 position on-off-on, but do I need to go with a 6 pin or 3 pin toggle? Or does it even matter with this switch? Thanks.

  11. I can't get "George" to do anything right. He refuses to fire 90% of the time, when we're in perfect weapon parameters, he completely misses even broadside targets multiple times, he almost never acknowledges the "permission to fire" command, and when he does respond with "firing" he still refuses to fire, can't get him to engage with rockets no matter what, even though range and angle is perfect
  12. Probably a long shot, but does anyone know if there is a way, by modding some scripting? To create custom AI aircraft formation templates, that you could then use from ME advanced WP properties when setting "Set Option" - "Formation" - "xxxxxxxxx"?
  13. Are there any negative effects, or performance hits that would be caused by compressing my DCS SSD, in order to free up some space?
  14. I was curious to where I could find details on creating skins for ground objects/equipment? For example, I grabbed a copy of the "RSZO_SMERCH_Base.dds". And made some new skins for it, i.e. Kuwaiti, Armenian and some fictional camos. Just to break up the mundane look a little bit. And, if I can do it, I plan on making skins for a lot of other ground units that only have a default paint job. But, I need to learn the requirements to create the new description.lua and point it toward the textures location.........I think that's what I mean. Anyway, does anyone know of a forum post or tut on linking new asset skins to DCS so they'll be available in-game? Thanks
  15. I installed the .edm plugin in 3ds max, but when I try to access a tool from the plugin, I get a "script file not found" error. Like settingsGUI.ms not found, exportToPSMeshGUI.ms not found, or overwingVaporMakerGUI.ms not found. Is there something I need that I didn't download in order to use the plugin with 3ds?

  17. Agree, I use the civil and military aircraft mods in about everything. But, I can't use the larger transport aircraft other than starting on runway or in air. Even in the large international airfields.
  18. Oh, noted. Wasn't sure. Thanks to adding @Taz1004 NVG clarity mod, they don't need any gain adjustment right now.
  19. BUMP Just set up a night miz and when I went to set up my NVGs, found out that there are no gain controls for them ?????
  20. I downloaded some user skins from the ED user files page. When I install them in my C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\F-15ESE They're not working in game, all of the added textures are missing. Can they only be installed in the Root install directory, or am I screwing something else up?
  21. Loving the SE, a lot more than I was expecting in an EA release. Can't wait till the little bugs start getting squashed and the systems start getting tuned in.
