  1. @Hammer1-1, well I grabbed it and looked at it and I think your best bet would be to go with aluminum. I honestly don't think a 3d printed version could stand up to the repeated stress from the collective. Unless maybe, it were printed in carbon fiber, I don't have the equipment to do CF, and I'd say a custom printed CF parts is OUTRAGEOUS. But, judging by the shape and simple contours of the part. I think it would be fairly easy to get a square of thin aluminum and fabricate it with some basic metal working tools.
  2. I'd be willing to help ya out. Depending on the size of the part. My fdm printer has a pretty good printable volume, so I'd say it would print it. I'll dl the file when I get home and look at the dimensions.

  4. That did the trick, @Rudel_chw. I did the cleanup, and when I came back and checked it, I didn't run the full repair so I could try your sugg first. After I ran the runtime files, it acted like it was going to hang, but it eventually loaded into the launcher, and from there on into the start screen. Thanks again for the help!

  6. I just had to reinstall Windows, and my root DCS install is on a secondary drive. After the Win 10 reinstall, I shored up my Nvidia driver and installed all of my other needed drivers. I tried to launch DCS, and keep getting this error. I can't include any log files, because it's not even creating a new "DCS" folder inside my saved games folder. I found another post with the problem, but it referred to amount of RAM and I have 64gb of RAM so I don't think that would be the problem.
  7. Jester can't handle being in a theater that has neutral air traffic. He designates them as bandits and flips into psycho mode, wanting me to take down AI airliners!
  8. I know this issue is old, but it's a headache. I built a mission with the full array of civilian aircraft traffic passing through, landing and leaving airports. As soon as I spawn in on the ground, Jester starts yelling like we're merged. And when in the air, he interprets the same and completely abandons the tgp work.

  14. Searched the interwebz to try and get some info on recovery AAR, can't find much. Anyone have an idea of these operations? What's the offset distance from the carrier, how long of a track does the tanker orbit, which side of the carrier the tanker usually operates on, orbit altitude parameters etc.?
  15. Aside from aesthetics, do EWR emplacements actually serve a purpose? Without using external scripting, I have never been able to actually get any type of use out of an EWR. I mean, is it not possible to assign late activated/uncontrolled interceptors to the coverage area of corresponding EWR sites in game. Without having to use scripting or a trigger zone that matches the coverage area of the EWR, only with no detection variation due to landscape and structures. And, if you use a trigger zone, there's no real purpose to have the EWR. I just don't know why, with all of the trigger options, there's not an option to "link group" or "link unit" to EWR detection task, like; Assign (unit) (group) to EWR detection area Tasking for Intercept or activate if constant detection for (xx amount of time) Basically a simplified version of an external scripting process. This function is one of the #1 functions of real world operations, it should be a given!
  16. Well, I'm sharing it in this thread, because the op and I + 3 or 4 others in this thread are having the same issue. Instead of starting an entire new thread about it, I figured it would benefit everyone with the problem if we discussed it in the same place. And, it may bump it up on the list of important bugs if ED staff sees multiple players discussing a common performance bug.
  17. I'm experiencing the same problem as the op, and quite a few other ppl. Don't know if it will help, but here is a log file I just generated playing a quick miz with the F-4. dcs.log
  18. I'm having the very same issue, @FierceLV. DCS is the only title I have the problem in, my lag spikes are around 6 seconds apart and last about 100ms in SP. I have stopped playing in MP servers, because of the issue. In MP the spikes are around 4 seconds apart and last for nearly a full second. The frequency of the spikes are perfectly spaced, I have tried everything, and nothing works to fix it. I have tried to recreate the issue in my other sim titles but it never happens. my pc isn't anything special but with the settings I use in DCS, it shouldn't have an issue. I run other titles with much higher graph settings smoothly. rtx3080 i9-9900k 64gb ddr4 2tb m.2 dedicated to DCS 144hz lg mon Excuse my "HI TECH" chart. This is a slice for 1 min, the lag spikes coincide perfect with the dips.

  20. I'm building a mission in the, Afghanistan theater. I've used MOOSE to create random REDFOR spawn points for random ground enemy templates. Now, I'm trying to figure out. How I can also have a BLUEFOR UAV spawn along with each randomly spawning enemy group, to provide immediate on station tgt designation, for players who would want use it. Is there a way that this can be done?

  22. I would say it's a problem on EDs end, I'm guessing it will be resolved fairly quickly, at least similar incidents in the past have. I hope it is, I can't sleep if I go to bed without flying at least once.
  23. sorry for the dumb question, but after I installed the mod into Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft and placed it on the map, it's still only AI, I can't take control of the EX, where am i screwing up?
