I hear ya Tango, Wags does leave inference in a lot of his video's and mentioning Auto/Man MAV handoff without saying they will be coming later does give some hope. Only thing he mentioned as coming later is TGT offset which honestly is not used much anyways so not a huge deal.

I notice so far ED has neither confirmed nor denied Mav's for this next update. I get the feeling they will not make it into this update. The TGP updates are vastly needed and great job there. Being able to Boresight Mav's would be amazing having the Mav Seeker slew to exactly where the TGP is looking makes deployment far faster/better than the hornet option's. The hornet can slew a mav seeker to TGP point but often takes several TDC Depresses in order for it to work. I can get by without HARM's for now I think as usually they get shot down before hitting the targets anyways.

I am a little concerned that Mav's are at the top of the list. This is something we have been told has been in the works for a long time so honestly it shouldn't even be on there and should be pushed out before starting on anything else. HOF for CBU's, Mav's, Full Function TGP should be prio but I feel the TGP in the viper works better than the hornet's anyways.

More maps are always a good thing and not to take away from ED or anything but 3rd party maps are even better due to not taking the development time away from ED at all. However, I do agree that being told multiple time's over the months that stuff is coming and seeing none of it come true one starts to loose the excitement and drive to further support EA products. Getting the hornet done is awesome and things are going well for the hornet but putting the viper on the back burner is starting to chaff the ass of many people. On the other hand thank you BigNewy for putting up with our crap all the time.

Not sure how you could say rushed out. Been over a month since the last patch and this one supposed to be bug fixes only. That is a long development time just for bug's. I would very much like to see some viper stuff. The plane has been deserted pretty much since it went EA. A few things here and there but in the time it's been out we should be much further along than we are at this point.

Considering the F16 is pretty much in the same spot it was 6 months ago you have to ask yourself is it worth it to you. It is a blast to fly and for A/A stuff I find it better than the f18 by a long shot. The startup sequence is actually more akin to the real thing than the f18 is. It seems like at this point until something major comes along that the f16 is stalled out in the development process. No stand off weapons. TGP moving your STPT around with no Cursor Zero to reset it can make for some frustrating situations. Finding targets with the TGP and dropping a GBU on them is easy to do and works very well. However just like the hornet there is no real HUD symbology for where the TGP is looking. The hornet you can see it if you TDC depress on something then slew it from there at least.

TrackIR causing stuttering is very odd as the application takes very little system resources to run. Do you have a Anti Virus program on there by chance? You can enable max performance by going into nvidia control panel under manage 3d settings is a power management mode. Change it to prefer maximum performance and apply it. The only other thing I can think of is to go into your controls for the plane with TrackIR running and under view you will see bindings for the trackIR headset. Unbind those and see if it still does it.

There is no way in all that's holy you shouldn't be able to maintain 60fps even at 4k with those specs. I would run DCS in window mode and then check the task manager while it's running for anything odd. Also try running Haven Benchmark (free download) and max everything out. Let that run for a few cycles check to see if pc freezes or you get any weird artifacts on the screen. You should be able to maintain 40-50fps final score at 4K resolution much much higher at 1080p. Try those and see what you get. Edit: If you have any other games to try what are the performance specs of those? I run default settings on my NVIDIA stuff at 4K on a 2070 and I maintain 40-50fps no problem. With other applications if it's doing the same thing you may have a HW problem.

The 7fps thing in channels map I can get that pretty regularly. It happens a lot with the f18 if you try it in there. Me thinks it maybe something with the AG radar cause it doesn't show anything on channels map. Possibly causing the issue I do get it flying the p47 as well though just not as bad.

Yea the VRAM leak has been hitting me as well. Sometime's it's not an issue other's it's like wtf happened to my dps lol. Channels map is really bad for me. I ran 4K max everything on other maps with about 40fps at 100ft

So... We getting anything this week? So our thirsty appetites for new stuff is growing and word on getting something good this week by chance? Normally Wags would be pushing vid's out for any major things so not holding my breath to much but a guy can dream right. Something like oh I don't know Mav's for f16 or maybe even JSOW's. How about ILS alignment in the hornet or something so they not all waving at me while taxing down the runway in 30 seconds after startup LOL.

You did make sure to install the module under the stable version right? You need to install the modules for both versions. -
The new Aim-120C won't hit anything even less than 5nm out at 22K feet they literally fly at target you get a LOST flash on your HUD and missile goes stupid. I literally flew behind a TU-23 biggest radar signature you could get 5nm away fired 8 missiles they all missed. Gave no Chaff/Flare to the AI. It flew in a straight line. Give me a break with this crap the missile does all kinds of wonky jerking around in flight so much so that it looses half it's energy 10nm after being fired.

Anyone else getting like 10-15fps in the p47 on channels map? GFX options didn't change was getting 80-90fps before optimization issues i guess?

I'm afraid development on the F16 is stalled out and likely will remain that way for many month's to come. Wags mentioned they hired a new developer for the f16 only but they did that like a month or two ago as well and still nothing new. Pretty sure every hand they have on deck right now is going to Carrier/F18 and that's about it.

The lack of updates to the 16 is getting a bit tiresome really. I am excited for the progress on the hornet for sure but mav's have been in the works since January and still nothing. If the f16 had any stand off weapons at all it wouldn't be so bad JSOW's JDAM's HARM's, any of those would make it much more usable in MP environment. It's a blast to dogfight with but until the g effects is fixed for it it's only about 60% as effective as it should be in that role as well.

Yea the P47 and Channel map is in the store but I think that was for the people invited to try them only. The patch notes are normally out by now and it is confirmed by Newy or someone that they are either on time for release or not. My guess is possibly thursday or Friday but today not looking to good.

I hear so many issues on VR performance and it's really odd. My FPS went up from 2.5.5 to 2.5.6. I can hold 70-90fps pretty easily in more SP mission's I don't really do big server's in VR due to still getting used to it. It does seem like there are a lot of massive FPS drops depending on where you are looking though I can get 90fps and I look down at my gauges barely any head movement at all and it drops to 45-50fps. I have noticed though that the HUD in the 16 and 18 is pretty much unreadable in VR atm though no matter what AA or MSAA option you turn on. If i run at 16X FXAA and 2X MSAA it's better but then i get like 40 frames most of the time. Still hard to make stuff out on the HUD though.

I wouldn't be to keen on a Viper update just yet. I don't think we will see much of a Viper update until the Dogfight HUD is finished. Also most of the other Viper weapon's requires the WPN screen on the MFD to be completed so far I haven't heard anything about that so no Mav's, HARM's, JSOW's, or any bomb timing changes until that is done. HARM's also require the HTP which again no word on that yet either. Viper has a long way to go yet for sure but it's still a fun plane. I would expect more fixes on the 4th than features. Maybe new cloud system or something.

Still wonder how many people can't even get past the login screen. I know I can't and it is certainly an issue with ED and loading modules. If you cancel the login screen you can get in but none of your purchased modules will work right.

After about an hour flying around it does feel like more speed is lost at less AOA than before. However it also feels that the thrust to weight is better. Not 100% on the patch note changes to it tbh they just said adjusted didn't say better or worse. -
I got an i7 4790k and my CPU frametime's are high 15-30ms even in a single player mission no MP at all. Only 16gb RAM so I think my issue is a 4th gen processor as good as it is plus 16gb less RAM than I probably should have is causing my high cpu time's My GPU can't even go above 60% usage cause the CPU just can't keep up with mine. Granted I am probably running decently high settings and have my PD at 1.0 in DCS and 140% in Steam. Pretty sure my CPU is bottlenecking me pretty bad and I should upgrade mine.

I don't even need to go through all 4 stations. On stable version i find target tdc depress to get coordinates hit undesignate then go to next target and tdc depress and undesignate. If i swap back to the first station the coordinates are the same as the last station i did. This happens with 2 or 4 stations on aircraft. It always uses the last tdc depress on all stations. On beta it works just fine using exact same method.
