  1. In VR there don't even need to be numbers, though ideally the shape would be close.
  2. Generic digital rotaries that increase or decrease would be fine
  3. Could you try the premade ED Suppercarrier cold start mission maybe? I select it on the HSI page and nothing happens. I'll see about getting it in on one of my missions in the ME.
  4. Hopefully HB's different F-14 variants becomes a thing in other modules, though FWIW I'd envision an F-4 Vietnam in the 70s around Linebacker era, so already F-4N and F-4E. If they could include an F-4S and F-4G in those modules that would be great, but if they were spun off that could work, too.
  5. Yeah sounds right for ground. On a carrier though, CV didn't work with stored heading and I had to IFA and it took almost to the second waypoint on the canned cold start mission before INS DEGO went away.
  6. Yeah better engine but NAVAIR and/ or DoD might decide its an easier sale to Congress to stay with proven F110-400s. Would be nice to consider ASF-14 with navalized F119s...
  7. Definitely. A Koreas map badly needed for F-86. Would be quite desirable for modern scenarios, too. MiG-19P Same with a Vietnam map for F-4 along with an appropriate model of MiG-21 (PFL?). Would be nice to see an integrated development approach shared with the third parties, maps and adversary aircraft. F/A-18C choosing lot 20 is different era from the HB F-14, for example...
  8. Yeah. It's probably the most likely though finding a decent donor can be pricey and most of the console is bulky and unnecessary for a sim. Hoping someone will do a reproduction / replica of the dial and frame that can connect to a rotary or dual rotary. Or at least a 3d printable design I could print myself. The latter is kinda my goal.
  9. I most want Ranger & Saratoga for their history & squadrons. Nimitz & Enterprise are both more iconic for early history of the Tomcat, though certainly don't expect HB to do that.... Nimitz at least should be more doable (though out of the scope from ED less of a jump than Enterprise which needs an entirely new model. Only hope I could see for Big E is a naval Phantom perhaps with pulldown livery skin for early and later variants?
  10. ST-21 was not going to be changed with "stealthy bits." Possibly ASF-14 would have had some trapezoidal intake ducts, but ST-21 was essentially an F-14D with LANTIRN & nav pods on Phoenix/bomb fairings, a one piece windscreen, fowler flaps, possibly new model of GE F110, retaining the other advancements of F-14D. As far as numbers, imagine full F-14D procurement goes through with 127 new builds and 400 rebuilt F-14D(R). Quick Strike is a sure thing as is AMRAAM. Around 2004, it's much more reasonable to adopt ST-21 as F-14E with similar engine and radar improvements as on Strike Eagle almost for free. Rather than invest in Super Bug, start replacing the F-14D(R) with new build F-14E and convert the 127 F-14D. Around 2010 they see the upgrade from the Drive article. Would love to see a mod.
  11. Do you have a link to your TACAN build? I passed on the A-6 panels that were on evilbay since don't really want a whole console but not finding anything in 3d print world that looks suitable and I'm still trying to learn Blender and/or Fusion 360 and nowhere near brave enough to try that yet. Oh nm, should have kept reading.
  12. DACO indicated because of the way the hydraulic pressure bled off the first engine shut down would go nozzles wide open while the second would close. DACO page 40 shows left closed and right open.
  13. Does a2a refueling work? I'm only used to Navy probe and drogue...
  14. Ideally all of it: modex, pilot name and the carrier name would by dynamic based on what's in the ME (which would need a field added for RIO)...
  15. Good story to stay alert, but do we know the Tomcats didn't see, identify and diregard an old lone friendly cruising along?
  16. Hope soon and hope Ranger will make it.
  17. F-14 for sure. Much more range and raw speed and naval ops.
  18. Cosmetically should be relatively easy for the talented skinners to do. I suspect there should be some slight drag added, though doubt we can hope for that.
  19. Direct from Slaw. Was put on waiting list 12/31. Told they were ready 2/19 and paid same day. Got DHL tracking today 2/23. ETA 3/1. Delivered 2/25 (amazing fast!). Gorgeous and perfectly constructed. I was impressed with how solid the T-rudders were and these blow them away. Went together very easy per the video and added a matching silver and black damper. Unfortunately even though they're quite heavy (in a solid good way), they MUST secured to use them since even modest deflection (at least with the damper) meant either they shifted or my chair rolled or both. I bought a 2 ft x 4 ft melamine board from Home Depot, cut a couple wheel holes for my chair's casters and then bolted the pedals to it and voila, butter.
  20. Jumped off the deep end and couldn't resist when told they were available. Mostly happy with the T-rudders but mostly want to remove another cable between the PC and chair as well with toe breaks as an option freeing up another button on the throttle. Damper should arrive today.... and got the shipping notification from Slaw. Can't wait!
  21. The F22 system bind for both brakes is not selectable for my Virpil throttle. Anyone else see that?
  22. Yeah, they tell us that outright at MCRD that swearing isn't professional and a big part of DI school is learning the discipline to control that, usually with substitutes. Friggin, daggone, etc. Every Marine in the Fleet drops f-bombs like nothing though. I think Jester is pretty take. Only time I tell him to shut up is when I'm having difficulty with A2A refueling.
  23. I like to imagine that pilots & officers swear less than Marine combat arms.
  24. Was reading I was supposed to delete my 1.3 bindings and I didn't... they're still there and everything seems to work...
  25. Near perfect refueling in the F-14B. It's just the F-14A giving me grief now.
