  1. F-4J/N/S top of my want list asking with an SEA map, though was kinda hoping we'd see a North Sea map, too. F-14D?
  2. Hmm I want Saratoga and Ranger more than Forrestal. If it was gonna be a one off, Enterprise would have been my choice. Hopefully it's at least friendly to a mod/livery to change the number easy.
  3. Are the wings of the static Tomcats going to be fixed?
  4. Yup. Would be nice if this went away sooner than later.
  5. I remember their art of a deck crew in various colors went on social media last year, though...
  6. Screenshots in VR now have a circle around them....
  7. VR is great. No performance impact as feared. I do notice strange noises in F4 view. Almost musical in Tomcat while much more of a wind buffetting style sound in Hornet. Also notice if I look at the clouds closely I see them jitter a bit almost as if they're resynching. Nothing like the ruling around the old cotton balls would do. First time breaking through the cloud layer on the Tomcat Syria Supercarrier Case I Instant Action though had a huge grin. Played around a bit in the ME and love the categories Have had a few times where DCS stalled or though and seemed to freeze. Once trying to launch Reflected's Zone Five Pitching Deck mission.
  8. F4 view has this strange almost musical whistling for the Tomcat. For the Hornet, it's more of a wind rustling type thing but definitely seems to be an effect they didn't expect but it is interesting that it's different on the Tomcat.
  9. Will DL when I get home. Noticed the Zone 5 Pitching Deck mission wouldn't load.
  10. Popped under the cloud layer on a quick F-14B Syria case I Instant Action with a big grin. Noticed the sound of the tires hitting (?) Was new. Jester called bolter though it was a 4 wire. Still getting used to Slaws but parked ok. The Reflected Zone 5 Pitching Deck mission was taking forever and DCS froze at about 90%. Relaunched game and loaded one of F-14A missions and it was changed to an F-14B until I went in the ME and changed it back (weapons & armament needed to be reset).... glad the persistent whine is gone. Both versions felt a bit more... energetic on stick roll. Most noticeable on cat launch.
  11. Yeah I'd really want Miramar and San Clemente Island, etc but probably not ever happening. Expansion of NTTR to cover the whole southwest would be natural since it seemed pretty routine for Miramar based squadrons to fly dets to El Toro, Fallon, etc. The best solution would be some sort of lower resolution photogrammetry solution for the whole globe with detailed maps with destructible terrain sold as modules for specific scenarios. A basic terrain editor would be very cool in the ME.
  12. Hoping the FM will be fixed to enjoy in those clouds!
  13. The idea is definitely intriguing. Where to start, though? For what categories would we want different wave files?
  14. Works with F-14A in mine. I was getting that error on the old beta that didn't support F-14A yet. Can you do a screenshot where it shows the version?
  15. Only really able to get past Mach 1.7 or so by dropping bags and holding the burners for awhile. The F-14A doesn't accelerate as well as the F-14B with the GE F110. Usually seems like afterburner up for a rapid climb to altitude and then cruising rather slow per the fuel ladder since longevity and loiter time is somewhere the Tomcat excels over the Hornet as much as in raw speed. Besides, anything more than 2 x Phoenix was really rare operationally. Full loadouts never really had more than 2 and standard carrier CAP tended to have 1. 2-3 sidewinder and 2-3 Sparrow were far more common though the 4 x Sidewinder and 4 x Sparrow seemed more common when expecting AA threat well through ODS. Most operation with Phoenix loads is going to be cruising and rather at about 250 or so KIAS since most CAP look like a typical military "hurry up and wait" style than an action movie, at least until there's an intercept in which case either going for the objective or protecting the boat.
  16. Yup. I did the optional of different button presses from down vs up. In DCS, Master arm on Tomcat and Hornet. Flipping up stows hard points in Elite Dangerous while pulling the flip trigger deploys them.
  17. Ha ha yeah kinda though my wife would be major PO after just getting Slaws.
  18. I was pretty fond of my T-Rudders but could not resist when Slaw told me RX Viper v2 were ready. Pricey but very very worth it. I was using a button on my throttle. The Slaw must be secured, which took a couple days (I bought a melamine board and cut some holes for my chair casters and bolted the Slaws to it. In the meantime went back Ti the T-rudder. Amazed at their effortless precision. Slaws are just a precise but needs much more effort especially with the damper installed at full deflection.
  19. Nice. Wonder if they'll do an AMPCD, too. Or an F-23 PMFD.
  20. In my cart but on the fence and leaning against
  21. Damn... I'm mixed. On the one hand almost completely satisfied with MCG Pro... OTOH would like a more premium feel since it functions great but felt a little disappointing TBH. One hand again perfectly functional... OTOH, $300 more bucks... Works fine with Gunfighter 2 with old black box on extension? I'm using one #50 and one #30...
  22. I have seen cpu spikes after shutting down DCS until I tell Simshaker for Aviators to exit, so prefer manual for now.
  23. Is a mod on the F-14 module feasible? Frankenstein the MFD and ejection seat, A/A, A/G and nav modes, etc from Hornet....
  24. In VR there don't even need to be numbers, though ideally the shape would be close.
  25. Generic digital rotaries that increase or decrease would be fine
