Hey mate, you need to make sure your EGI is fully aligned (4.0), in Nav and selected as the nav source before you can engage EAC. Below is a quote from Wags' FAQ which is stickied up top if you havent seen it. Cheers

WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
Kaiza replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Wow, thats awesome towsim, well done! Once working it would be great if this could then be expanded for the battle commander/ JTAC once combined arms arrives! -
You will normally get a radar lock on your RWR prior to launch if it is RADAR guided. However, if you have your CMSP in SEMI or AUTO, then the CMS will automatically choose the best countermeasures for the encountered threat, so you dont have to worry about it. In SEMI you only then need to start and stop the program, in AUTO you dont do anything at all (however your countermeasures will disappear very quickly!)

Really enjoying this game, great fun. Forgive me for asking, but does anyone know the ins and outs of how units carry over from mission to mission? For instance, if I go back and play a mission that I have already completed again and do better than I did the first time, do I then get extra units for the following mission, even if I have completed that also? What happens if I complete a mission again that I have already completed with less units surviving than I did the first time?

Optimal Mach and altitude for maximum range/endurance
Kaiza replied to amalahama's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
LOL now that is amazing, borderline OCD, but amazing. Rep to you lobo. -
Oh man, really can't wait for CA. I think this module will have potential to totally revolutionise this game. A sneak peak well deserved for all that hard work you testers do.

I dont understand? How do we vote for more than 1 option? How come DCS A10 is in the list? Is that the A model?

To X 52 pro or to not X52 pro?
Kaiza replied to KoalaDoraemon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
X52 Pro is a great stick for a great price. I had no problems with mine. I much preferred the dual spring in the pro to the regular. Go have a feel of one in a store if you can. -
Hell yeah, the only way to rejoin. Called a buzz and break or joining via initial in my part of the world. qHcQxr5Q0ws Thanks Viper

Altimeter - Effect of Temperature on Pressure
Kaiza replied to IronHog's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Have to agree with effte here, altlmeters are not corrected for OAT, even in digital ADCs. Doing so would cause an air traffic nightmare. Some systems do have the capability to compensate for temperature, however that is only used to pass on to aircraft sensors rather than the altimeter. Some aircraft also have the ability to compensate for temperature on an instrument approach so that the aircraft does not fly below minimum descent altitudes, however this is generally just modern airliners. Most aircraft have a table in their -1 with temperature compensation for OATs below 0. If you look at any BARO-VNAV approach it will have a minimum temperature that the approach can be flown, this is so you do not bust altitudes due to the affect of temperature. As effte said the ADC uses OAT for many other uses, primarily the calculation of TAS. -
Yep, you are absolutely correct. Appears that the GPS altitude is using its alignment altitude as the datum rather than WGS84. Looks like a bug to me.

Hey skouras- do you understand that the 2 dots show 2 different impact points for the two ammo types (AP and HE) which is very useful? Anyway, you can change to a gun cross with a single dot using DMS right or left with the HUD as SOI. EDIT: ralfi beat me to it.

Did you try this one:

Flew this mission today and enjoyed it. Feedback I would have: I too had the "SEAD Fail" and then AA continued to count down until all destroyed. A little confusing at first, but I just assumed other units destroyed the remaining AA and continued the mission. My rig really struggled at times, it was a bit of a slideshow during the taxi and furball, but sped up later on. There seemed to be two predators orbiting the AO with the same group/unit ID (0102) which makes them flash on the TAD. Either that or there was a single predator jumping position by around 10 miles every second. This was a little distracting. The odd zu23 or strela to keep us on our toes would have been good as once established onsta, there wasnt really any threats, but I understand what you were trying to do there. It was cool seeing the ammo dumps go up! Overall I enjoyed it, and am really looking forward to the next. Cheers

Great work, looks nice.

Its special head tracking hardware. Most people use trackir: http://www.naturalpoint.com/ You can also use freetrack which is free software if you want a cheaper option and are not afraid of making the hardware yourself. Or there is also software called facetracknoir that people have had varying degrees of success with. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56837&highlight=facetracknoir If you are serious about simming this is a very important bit of kit to have, it really changes the whole experience. Once you have it you will refuse to fly without it, I would rather fly without a hotas than without trackir!
