  1. What I would love to see is a GUI for JTAC with a stack of multiple radios and a means to ID when each is being transmitted on. That way a player could act as ATC/AWACS/JTAC for the other players in a mission. By the way, I like the idea of spetators going to guard, although i would be concerned that if this is implemented, after some time everyone would end up on guard as a common chat and interplane freq, defeating the purpose.
  2. Wow i cant believe i didnt see this thread 'till now. When I was out running today I was thinking about whether someone would do a mod like this for A-10c and how incredible it would be. Headspace, I salute you! If I was allowed to give you more rep I would. Personally a mod like this would double my enjoyment online. Keep at it! As you progress, if you need any beta test support I would be more than happy to help.
  3. Another option could be to use the Saitek profile editor and manually change the length of trim time that each trim depress makes, thus making it less sensitive. I havent tried this but it may work.

Yep- although I have not seen it in an A-10, from other a/c there is a "J hook" that extends over the landing gear handle itself physically stopping the movement of the gear handle when you have weight on wheels. Pressing the downlock overide will release that J hook. Sometimes if your weight on wheels switch is dicky on touch and goes you will see the J hook hammering away on the gear handle as you bounce up and down.

  7. Interesting. I have had the APU hang on starter RPM before (although back in Beta 1) and I always thought it was because I forgot to turn the boost pumps on. I just went and tried it you are right, it doesnt need the engine boost pumps at all. I cant figure out how I managed to do that now.
  8. I know a lot of people are going to say Nav, but personally, I am motivated by delivering weapons, so the part in the manual on SPI/SOI is where I started.
  9. Or perhaps the fuel pumps werent on and the APU stuck at starter RPM (ie no ignition). 60% sounds a bit high for that though.

  16. In a perfect world, yes that would be the ultimate. Unfortunately I feel for those not in an online squadron, finding someone willing and able to competently fill this role will be somewhat difficult. Not to mention it appears there will be no datalink or laser designation capabilities for the JTAC/BF commander.
  17. Yeah, this is a real shame, you can check out the whole thread here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59217 I can only hope that a patch or mod will come out in the future to address this, as it would be sacrilegious not to combine the two most fun parts of the game (MP and JTAC ops).
  18. The pilot in the cockpit is completely independant of the external view pilot, so I dont think this is the reason.

  22. The technique I used on this mission was to create a new waypoint and then put it in part of my flightplan. You can review this procedure on page 446 of the manual. It applies for both UTM and LLs.
  23. Yep mine is completely different too, however if I press reset view (or whatever it is, the key is num ENTER) it resets it to the original view which is the one I prefer.
