[FIXED] [OB 2.7.16.28157] SD-10 nozzle_exit_area value incorrect
Mike_Romeo replied to DSplayer's topic in Fixed Bugs
I can confirm that. SD-10 nozzles are arround 0,9655 times smaller than the one of the Aim-120. If you now multiply that with the nozzle_exit_area value for Aim-120 (0.0132), you get 0,0127 instead of 0.01327. @uboats could you please check this as well ? 28649 : 27663 = 0,96558344095779957415616600928479 0,0132 x 0,96558344095779957415616600928479 = 0,01274570142064295437886139132256 -
Just btw, you can search and filter out J-11 skins on the userfile page. You will find all comunity skins made for it there. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-skin/unit-is-j-11a/apply/

Since this is entirely a support unit — it presents no threat and cannot really protect against anything, the Sborka may seem like a completely harmless thing. It still creates issues, however. For one, when attached to any of the units it is supposed to support, it lets enemy units detect the player earlier and lets them be ready sooner. In some cases, this may seem like a disadvantage since IR-based systems like the Strelas or Iglas would otherwise not show up on the player's RWR. But on the other hand, given the breadth of units that it is supposedly attached to, this creates a problem: you have no idea what is hiding behind that RWR blip. It may just be some low-level AAA, but it might also suddenly flip over into showing an SA-15 site, or it might show nothing and out of nowhere you are yet another Tunguska victim. It also creates problem for SEAD/DEAD aircraft since it creates another emitter that the ARM:s might go after and which needs to be resolved, filtered out, and separated from more worth-while targets. The JF-17 is a multirole but not a multi mission aircraft. It was made cheap in real life so that if more weapons or more different weapon types are needed more aircraft would been sent. Those limitations are btw real life limitations and not Deka/Eagle Synamics made ones. Anyway, the JF-17 is perfectly suited for pure air to ground or air to air missions. The HMD (helmet mounted display) was intruduced with the JF-17 Block 3 version but sadly we have a Block 1 JF-17 with a Block 2 refueling probe in DCS.

[Report Thread] Bugs of China Asset Pack

@GumidekCZ, I took a look at the files and Deka almost replaced everything you mentioned with your numbers. Good work with those researches ! -
[Report Thread] Bugs of China Asset Pack
Mike_Romeo replied to RocketmanAL's topic in Chinese Asset Pack
Download the latest hotfix, file was changed. -
Deka is doing a Chinese JF-17 and not a Pakistan one. So there is a chance that the chinese ones are using the dispenser with more flares. Too bad there arent many chinese JF-17 pictures to confirm that.

I rather have a texture change to this:

You can download a Ukraine F-16 skin here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320846/

Wasnt it actually made by Deka Ironworks for their JF-17 ?

Flaming Clifs 3 RUS aircraft useless ET/T Optical system nerf
Mike_Romeo replied to mrfoxik's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
There wasnt a nerf and the Flankers are still competetive with skilled pilots. Detection range of EO depends on various factors such as the heat of the engine (Afterburner on/off) and aspect. -

Couple of questions related to A-A combat in JF-17
Mike_Romeo replied to Aries101's topic in JF-17 Thunder
S8: Change weapons to switch between all your weapons. Gun can only be activated via the MFD buttons. Sure that your radar was unfreezed ? The LD-10 is the anti radar missile of the jeff that is normaly used against SAM sites. However, I think it picked up the radar of the MiG-21 and engaged it. The SD-10 should have behaved similiar. If you fire a Fox 3 missile (Missile with it own radar) without a target lock, it will activate its radar instantly and engage the first object it sees (Maddog launch) Actually no but I higly recommend you to read the Chucksguide for the JF-17. It countains 99% of every Jeff answer you will ever have. https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-jf-17-thunder/ -
The JF-17 AI still seems to have that issue

Just Su-25. The A is often used to clarify that the talk is about Su-25 and not Su-25T.
