It took a look at the video and it is extremely well done. :thumbup: I would pay money for additional videos but am unsure of the $50 price just yet. :unsure:I would have to see what other videos would be included in the DVD package. I'm interested in instructional videos focussing on the following: (1) Proper use of Helmet mounted site system. (2) How to conduct proper rocket attacks. (3) In depth use of the Abris system. (4) Basic flying skills in moving helicopter from point A to point B which would include tight turns, stopping, pointing nose where you want nose to point. (5) Proper utilization of bomb runs. Again, well made video and worth paying for more.

I just finished Mr. Macy's book myself the other day. It was a real good read and gives good insight into combat helicopter operations. The book gives some pretty good ideas for scenarios as well. Highly recommended if you have not yet read this book.

I may not be understanding your question correctly but are you aware you can adjust the speed of the Shkval reticle via a control knob on the right side of the cockpit?

How can you not know anything about flying? Are you not Ed Macy? :music_whistling:

Thanks for the vid. It looks like the pilot is shooting those rockets at about 1.4 to 1.5 km away. Been practicing from distance and it is definately easier to hit targets from at least that distance out. I must have been too close before.

Excellent thread. I was going to ask this question myself...glad to see others are having problems with rockets as well...:smilewink: Does anyone have a "track file" showing proper use of rockets in attack? That would be most helpful.

You should do a little research before putting motor mouth in gear. You have no idea what you are missing with SBPE and $125 is a bargain for this gem.

Those specifications are exactly what I did and with tax came out to about $42. I got a copy done so I can begin reading through this quick and dirty manual while waiting for the one ED will sell us. No surprises for me, I actually checked price before I ordered the product.;)

Exactly. Some of you people are missing the point. ED is and has set up the foundation from which to build on. A foundation which they are now in complete control and Ubisoft is out of the picture. That is what all this time which has passed has been used for. Don't be surprised if the newer, more in depth fast movers come down the pipe sooner rather than later. Don't get me wrong...I'll miss the fast movers for now but I'll take the time and do something different, something crazy...I'll fly helicopters.:thumbup: This is a good thing for our community of flight sim families people. It looks like our hobby will live on.

I don't have it yet but am going to take the plunge with the U.S. release and try some infantry fun. Currently, and (what I think will be for a long time) my first choice of sim is Steel Beasts Personal Edition. I'm just having a blast with this one online and offline.

Yeah, same here. This is the very reason I don't fly LOCKON anymore or if I do (and that is very, very rare) I fly with just a few guys I like. Forget hyperlobby, its just a festival of insults. This forum seems to be turning into that as well....I mean when you get old timers (like the ones posting just above) hurtling insults left and right, its time to move on to other games and sims.:( Never thought I'd see the day the LOCKON community turned into the Falcon community.:cry:

My biggest pet peeve with the AI is the fact that they cannot manage their fuel properly. They will maintain afterburner to the point of no-return, running out of fuel and calling bingo at the most inoportune times. You cannot utilize AI wingman in any kind of formation spread out due to the fact that they burn up the fuel just getting into proper position. Forget about long range missions involving them.:megalol: :cry:

I'm not interested in any more Russian aircraft or their variants. I would like to see some focus on western aircraft and improving those already in the sim as well as adding one or two.

Personally, I'd say Andrew is in the top 4 for movie makers and the talent needed to do it.

Completely agree.:thumbup: ECM blinking is not cheating but rather utilizing the already available option in LOMAC but much more efficiently.
