  1. Job? Where the hell are your priorities?:joystick:
  2. And...we like to pretend and have fun...:smilewink:
  3. Yep, Ironhand has been in this community for quite some time and he is considered one of the "movers and shakers" in the hobby. IMHO, not only are his vids instructional, but very entertaining. Thanks Ironhand.
  4. More, then again less.:megalol:
  5. 1280X960 with 32bit.
  6. I would support this and will get it assuming it will be released in good shape. The reason I would get it? The chance to fly other aircraft and theaters. I fly LOCKON for and enjoy it for many reason, one being that you have different aircraft with different cockpits, systems, weapons modelled in game. I fly Falcon AF in order to fly F-16 and two different theaters. The Dynamic campaign is very good as well and enjoy the fact that I can hop into a sortie and fly without having to make a mission like I do in Lockon. I would fly this SAAF mod of Falcon in order to experience more and different aircraft in another theater. I've been looking at the screenshots of the sim. They've got some good cockpit panels there. Theater is very interesting. We'll wait and see on flight models and avionics. Looks promising to me. I hope they succeed because IMHO, it would be a great thing for our community.
  7. Welcome back EricJ. I haven't seen you in a while.
  8. Personally, I've never used map view since I find it so cartoonish to begin with and I consider it somewhat of a cheat. It is much more run and real IMHO to utilize the HSI for naviagational purposes. It makes it much more of a challenge for me. Usually what I do is when I'm in for some serious flying, I go up on the server I will fly. Read the brief. Look over map. Take a screenshot of map. Make note of the mission goals, waypoint objectives, airfield locations etc. Print this stuff out place within eye view from my monitor. This can be simulated as my "kneepad" in the cockpit. :smilewink: Then, back in mission, configure loadout and get airborne. Let's say I want to come into the combat area from a different direction than directly on waypoint. I'll make the calculations from one waypoint which I will designate as my "bullseye" and fly to it using the HSI and in cockpit clock, Always of course looking for geographical references if visual conditions permit. It really makes you work and keep track of SA in game. I find it much more fun to fly this way. LOMAC may not have everything implemented with respect to navigation tools in cockpit but you can still do some interesting navigation with the tools we do have. Just my two cents.:pilotfly:
  9. Real bad form GOYA.
  10. LOL. Once in a while, I'll catch myself using brevity during normal conversations. The other day I used some without thinking about it and my wife looked at me with big wide eyes...."what did you say? We have a great hobby.
  11. Read carefully Maggi. LOCKON will cease to exist after Blackshark addon. The game engine will then morph into another flight sim which will have the enhanced code. This new code will provide the community with a number of very interesting options in terms of avionics, flight models etc. etc. It is my understanding that ED wants to make an F-16 player flyable aircraft with this new code. That aircraft will be available sometime later in the new flight sim. This is after ED does the A-10 with new code. Short answer to your question: No new single engined player flyable aircraft in the current version of LOCKON. Next product we will most likely see them.
  12. Exactly, don't be afraid to run away like a little girl. I do that often and come back for another try, always looking to initiate the fight on my terms...not theirs.
  13. What's that Goya, alcohol in the cockpit? Squadron CO is not going to like that.
  14. They all do not have voice overs. IMHO, the best training tracks with voice overs can be found over at Ironhand's site. http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/index.html superkungfu, you beat me to it by a few seconds...LOL
  15. Thanks much Rich.
  16. You can also go on over to SimHQ. They have a pretty good forum for Falcon Allied Force. www.simhq.com
  17. Relax Pilotasso. I for one enjoy the 169th's server because it is more objective based but it is still summer time here and I enjoy a lot of things besides a computer flight sim.:) It is not shameful, just life.
  18. Hmm...and you are an IP for the 9th Air Force?
  19. Come on in, the water's fine...:pilotfly:
  20. Very true and the British were also the driving force with respect to radar.:)
  21. You are going to enjoy yourself Maulkin and learn a hell of a lot. The 504th are class acts. P.S. Looking forward to shooting you down.:music_whistling:
  22. Yes, you should check out their webpage. There are many interesting videos housed in the download section of the site. http://www.thebattlesim.com/
  23. I think the server administrators do a pretty good job with the missions I've been seeing up on Hyperlobby. The more realistic and complex, the better IMHO. I would like to add though that it would be nice to include aerial refueling tankers in the missions and other AI aircraft from time to time like Mig-25, F-16, Mig-23 etc. etc., tactical bombers would be nice as well. Since many servers run the missions 6+ hours at a time, one could space the spawning of those AI aircraft along the length of the mission. That way, if you are conducting a fighter sweep with your bud and all of a sudden you get the "25" symbol on the TEWS, it adds a bit of diversity to the threat equation out there. Those AI aircraft could also act as decoys on behalf of the player/human element whose side they are on. Players would get one hell of a education in target sorting and designation.:)
  24. GOYA is just getting impatient. Patience is hard to maintain after a while even if you can see the sun just creeping up over the horizon.
  25. S! And happy birthday.
