yeah, you can map wheelbrakes, or wheelbrake left or wheelbrake right in the Axis Assign list of HI modules and some FC3 modules have it too. I tried to use the Logitech Software with bands and time intervals to make it engage/ disengage like anti-lock brakes in cars, but no luck. Thanks for the help keith! Bud!

I'm having trouble mapping the wheel-brakes, any clues on how to do that?

In a Nav vid, Wags says you can enter a Time On Target, but it stays at all zeroes. Lots is still under development

so the threat warning sounds like missile approaching are still in development?

[CANNOT REPRODUCE] Emergency EPU doesn't work
Talvid replied to Papa Saubär's topic in Bugs and Problems
Does the EPU switch have to be in an (armed) position for it to auto activate on engine flameout? -
Hello all. If you want to use your X52 pinkie button as a modifier you can use the X52 software to map alternate modes in addition to the 1, 2, and 3. The pinkie lever will activate the alternate mode. OR If you want to use the pinkie button as a modifier in your DCS controls you have to delete all the +pinkie modes in the X52 software only then will the pinkie lever (Button 6) be available to add as a modifier in the DCS controls mapping. The axis can be used with the (band) setting which allows you to set a button or switch based on the percentage of movement of that axis. This makes a nice dead-zone when the rotary knobs are neutral, and you can also map a control when it's neutral ( like how I set the slider to retract the speedbrake when it's set to zero, to extend halfway when it's in the 33% - 66% range, and to extend fully out when the slider is anywhere in the 66% - 99% activation range. you can't find the X52 test properties by right-clicking the desktop or taskbar icons. To find it, go into your game controllers settings, use the windows search bar to find it quickly if you like. And from there you can select your X52 HOTAS controller and edit the properties like the backlighting, and time zone / date, test the buttons and select whether your Clutch button (with the i symbol on it in the middle of the first rotary knob) you can turn that off so it doesn't deactivate all of your buttons, and latching is when a button acts like a toggle, where press and release activates, and press and release again deactivates. unchecking the latched option makes it so the clutch button deactivates your controls while you press and hold it, but releasing it activates them again. Also notice how the latch option is available for any HOTAS button or axis in the X52 controller software. So many possibilities ( but make sure you don't try to use the pinkie button as a modifier in the X52 software AND in DCS simultaneously, because they cancel each other out. That's for all who are like me, just bought the high-integrity models and are stoked to get the controls mapped and get on with flight training / missions, Cheers!

Constantly losing radar locks, unable to do any BVR because of this
Talvid replied to Agathos_Deimon's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
It works. MDI Pushbutton 13 switches the TWS mode to Auto, which will show BIAS at random and the Amraam lock stays on throughout. I had the same issue. Thanks guys. -
ah, I know where it is. I did my first cold start today. i'll be sure to switch to Nav. Much thanks.

Hello all, I tried a search in this Hornet forum for HUD compass not active / stuck on one heading. Is that a switch in the cockpit I need to flip? I tried ATT to Auto as well as INS, no luck.

I want to put the Left MFD and Right MFD as well as the EHSI (Electronic Horizontal Situation Indicator) on my second monitor. My question is, what names do I need to use in the Monitor Setup .lua? for the F-18C they are like: FA_18C_IFEI etc. for the viper are they something like: F_16C_LEFT_ MFD? any insight will be very helpful, thanks

Yeah, a flyable module

wouldn't it be cool to get a c-130 , or c-17 cargo plane mod, along with a campaign of flying resupply missions?

F-15C The Georgian War Campaign Feedback
Talvid replied to baltic_dragon's topic in F-15C The Georgian War
What an amazing campaign. The voice recordings throughout made it seem like being a real F-15C pilot during a real conflict. There is some interesting information to learn by listening to the conversations between the Flight Commander (the Player; you) and the Wingman. The mission code was flawless and the map is all Fog of War which makes it interesting. Some missions were very challenging and I had to learn the hard way not to go head to head with the MiG-31 FoxHound. The Georgian War campaign module for the F-15C made my DCS World experience so worth the hours I put in learning to fly, navigate, land the aircraft, and operate the radar, read the RWR, and utilize the weapon systems. I would say this is a must have for anyone who has the F-15C or Flaming Cliffs 3 modules. Thank you much to all those who put this awesome campaign together. -

The Grim Reapers have videos on YouTube about Dynamic Campaigns, where the results of one mission are reflected in the map on the next mission. Maybe you can get some ideas from them.

question: did you send the strike package when the guy on the radio suggests to or is there a certain timing to launching the strike that gets the missiles through the defense net?

I was able to activate my air-brake at 550 kph

Flaming Cliffs 2 - "Cold War Warrior" campaign ending
Talvid replied to troye's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Wow, the USSR national anthem plays at the end of the tank battle! I finished the campaign and didn't even know it. It set me back to mission ten so I kept beating mission ten again and again like four times, and kept watching the cpu tank battle. then I finally let the mission set the camera angle and that was cool because I got to watch from above and hear the USSR anthem when they prevailed. Thanks for this thread, I wasn't sure if I beat Cold War Warrior. Go mighty 190th! -
I've found that 90% power and 80% power both consume about 4.5 kg of fuel per kilometer

How do limited SEAD missions with Su-25A (killing the Roland ADS)
Talvid replied to pepin1234's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
The advice is much needed, thank you! -
Hello all. I charted the A-10A at 22 lbs of fuel per mile at max engine power, (fully loaded). At 90% engine rpm I got 13 lbs of fuel per mile. Any comments on differing results?
lbs fuel / mi Loaded engine power % lbs fuel miles lbs fuel / mi 100 100 4.5 22.22 95 90 100 7.6 13.16
Really Enjoying Revanche Campaign in VR
Talvid replied to Johnny Dioxin's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
What weapons do you use with the SU-25? I can't cause enough damage to targets to complete the first mission. -
A few hours ago I wondered if there was any end to the SU-25T Georgian Oil War campaign, but now I can say I won it. Finally beating a game with no cheat codes.

I'll try that out. Thanks.
