  1. Extra Haze is a known issue IIRC. I'm not seeing the flickering however Nate
  2. Formally submitted the issue, many thanks for your help, I've always hated the effect but never understood the underlying cause. Nate
  3. Doh, thats it - it is using the LOM files now the EDMs are gone. Search for tree*.lom and delete them too. Nate
  4. That doesn't make sense, you must not have deleted them all. Nate
  5. Many thanks. Nate
  6. The nuclear option - Search for tree*.edm and delete them, just to be sure they won't turn in game. Nate
  7. Ok I see how it pieces together now. I'll work out how best to formally report it. EDIT:- Did I read above that you created a DDS with the correct mipmaps? If so, how would I do something similar? Nate
  8. The Transparency anti-aliasing will have a major effect on performance IIRC. Also I've never noticed any difference with the Pre-load setting. 0km or 150km it seems to make no difference for me. Nate
  9. Thanks for that. I always thought Mipmapping was more to do with fixing textures at oblique angles, but your explanation makes it very clear. How does Anisotropic filtering come into play in your example? Nate
  10. The Fix for this is to simply resave the Miz in the current version of the Mission editor IIRC. Nate
  11. It isn't mipmapping rather Texture aliasing you are seeing I think. Nate
  12. I'd be very very surprised if scaled movement was not in the finished product. Nate
  13. The /3gb switch is necessary for XP, you must use it.. Also more detail on the error you are seeing would be helpful. And as an aside, 16gb in a 32bit OS? You are aware it can only ever use 4gb of that, unless you use a 64bit version Windows. That is 12gb going to waste in your computer right now. Nate
  14. 1) CA can give a pilot control of the Battlefield vehicles on the F-10 map, if that option is set in the mission editor. You can enter a vehicle (RALT-J) but then the AI takes your Aircraft. 2) The player can play as Ground Commander, control ground and Air units from the F-10 map, can enter vehicles and control that group from the vehicle. And Enter JTAC mode when in vehicle Please take the time to read the CA manual, it will make this a lot clearer. Nate
  15. Give it a rest lads - F-35 talk belongs in the F-35 thread. Anybody like to point out the Subtle (or not) changes to #4? Nate
  16. Switch to the JTAC view and use the laser - or if you have the option enabled hit enter to compute a Firing Solution. Nate
  17. No Need - you can change "Slot" in singleplayer. Nate
  18. Hasn't been implemented yet. Control of Aircraft is a very new feature for CA. Nate
  19. Go back to the in sim Briefing Screen (LALT-B) and choose another role/aircraft when ever you want. Your current Aircraft will be destroyed as you move to the new aircraft. If you want to control the Battlefield when in an aircraft you must select that option, in the Mission editor, for that mission. Alternatively you can have all AI flights in the mission and use RALT-J to jump into them as required. This will not destroy your current aircraft as you move to the new one, but rather the AI will take control. Nate
  20. There are some changes in AI behaviour you may not be aware of. The AI will not fly into danger or will prioritise Anti-air targets, even if you tell him to attack your target or ground targets. He will no longer fly dumbly to a target, he will avoid Anti air threats as a priority. If he can't safely engage a target he will say he's unable. Suicidal Wingman was the biggest criticism, of the BS1 AI. The AI is far more cautious now. That said, that doesn't preclude new issues, this is why we are asking for short tracks showing incorrect behaviour. Help us Help you. Nate
  21. Yes. I like to use the Ka-50, stick it in Auto hover then Direct the Battle from the F-10 map - I help out the ground forces in my Ka-50 as they progress. Nate
  22. CA is an add-on rather than a module, basically it adds its functionality to all existing missions. There are also Single player missions specifically created for CA also, that showcase its functions. A quick read of the CA manual and you'll see how it integrates within DCS World. Nate
  23. IIRC one of the campaigns was resoned to include CA support - it in the user files section on the website I think. Try the CA single missions though, that will give you a good idea of what CA is. I found the Russian missions with the player using the Ka-50, as well as controlling the battlefield, very enjoyable Nate
  24. I'll suggest again setting curves for your Joystick - it makes all the difference. I use 7 deadzone and 30 curvature for my crappy Joystick. Nate
  25. Some figures for the DCS P-51. Sea level Accelerated Stall for 270kts is 6g - how many G were you pulling? Nate
