With any product I believe it is a high priority to fix the BUGS. there are many bugs with the Su-33 and the SU-33's home of the Kuznetsov. I don't care if the Su-33 is graphically challenged. after all I find myself in the cockpit most of the time flying in formation at a decent spacing it doesn't bother me. what bothers me is after flying an extended mission 2-3 hours or so, only to return make a 'trap' and BOOM the su-33 sinks below the deck into the water. what bothers me is my team mates bobbing up and down like a children's carousel ride.

I believed GG Tharos to be wrong. I will explain. IT CAN BE DONE. simply go to your desktop icon for dcs world, open multiplayer. join any server offering F-15's to fly. join a F-15 slot. once you are in the cockpit you may or may not want to change your payload. you wont be able to remove the pylon until a bit later so this is not the stage just yet. taxi to the runway at a fast walking pace. not too fast that you violate any server taxi rules. ensure the runway is clear, move to the active runway and take off. its a good idea that you raise your gear, however this is not needed to remove the pylon. you will then need to follow your waypoints. just ignore your TEWS it beeps a lot all the time. you will probably see a bunch of 29 spikes and a few f-15's just keep following the waypoints. you are probably by now hearing a beeping noise and a whoop whoop sound. this is normal and essential for pylon removal. pylon removal is just in the next step. by this stage you are probably looking at your plane in many many pieces. NB your pylon has been removed and is scattered all over the country side.

Joe, I Agree its very rewarding to complete many of the tasks of the A-10c. for the formation flying I would highly recommend training in Air-2-Air Refuelling, after all doing so is essentially just flying a tight formation. The 77th Accepts Members from USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND. we also accept persons from other area's like the UK if they are night owls shift workers etc. We Accept members who fly A-10c, UH-1H, KA-50 & SU-33.
-
the Russian systems are designed to be similar between aircraft. as such you could easily run the training for the su-27 to become familiar with the su-33. there are a few differences in the cockpit, but many of the same options are there. you will have a few extra keys too. hook, fold wings, refuel probe and carrier take off position key. the plane itself is totally different to the su-27 in the way she handles. so spending time practicing flying her is essential.

Nostalgia for the Old Flanker Heads...
Devilman replied to Shepski's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I was just playing flanker 2.5 the other day.. in fact i turn the graphics down on DCS just so it looks like the olden days..:megalol: i still enjoy the opening avi and the menu music DCS had a diferent meaning then.. Digital Combat Series ? yes ? -
 no worries, i can take you through start ups on any of the aircraft. if you want to come online at 8pm central i can meet you on our squadron teamspeak (visit www.s77th.com for teamspeak 3 details.)

You can deploy bombs from altitude, however at the sacrifice of acuracy. i find one of the most enjoyable aspects of A-G in a Su-33 is bombing shipping. followed by engaging smaller sams. it does help to have an extra pair of eyes spotting for the smaller stuff. its also pretty hard to do some of this stuff with out good target knowledge. if you are on sometime id be happy to take you out and do some A2G with SU-33.

I have set a mission with a taxiway violations, debrie on runway not a problem unit exploded out of zone After a violation of set speed, user either waits for violation to expire and takes off safely works well for me anyway. Id rather have unit deactivate and just disapear

let me know how you go with your search, i went though a list of squads i know, to be honest, most of them are DCS a-10c focused with some other fighter groups focused on russian aircraft. i was going to say DFA but not sure if they are still around or flying f-15 ? perhaps 9th =shrek= ? not sure about what they fly tho. 104th may be 'international' anyways good luck with your search!!
-
and another one, if this keeps up im going to have to start up a UK wing of S77th. :music_whistling: i hope the UK squad's and europe squads are sending you guys PM's
-
unfortuanly S77th does not accept membership from persons outside of the USA, Canada Australia Or New Zealand i wish you all the best in your search and hope you can find a squadron to call home. if you find yourself with out any squadron who is willing to take you on because of your age , I wouldnt worry too much, after all we were all 16 once. I remember when i was 16 creating my first online squadron.. almost 20 years ago now. and today, the S77th Squadron i created for the flanker series still here www.s77th.com. so im sure you will find a place to call home. Good Luck!
