  1. Salute very much an important tradition- watch closely.. :D ...can't find the one I wanted- which was supposed to be filmed from a base in Saudi.. funny as hell (and wtf is up with the youtube button in the post editor?)
  2. You installed it before plugging it in, right?
  3. Well- I might be missing something obvious because- I don't know what's in that picture.. but did you install the SST software?
  4. A sim or game with specific support for a peripheral- it seems logical that an agreement of some sort is established ahead of time.. Nevertheless- I don't know for sure..
  5. Thanks.. just installed 11.2 yesterday, naturally...
  6. LOL Bumfire- that's exactly what I was thinking.. Keyboard USB have been laughable for so long- I figured that was still a safe assumption since I was not aware of any of these guys pushing an AC powered keyboard..
  7. Hard to tell. The ? for me is just the thickness of that band- but it seems likely that you will have to enlarge the adjustment- thus exposing a part of the sliding mechanism that should be thinner.. The actual LED arms can be swung about to properly align even if the clamping surface is shaped kinda weird- so that part should be OK. I'd say chances look alright from here.
  8. Read the server description again- keeping in mind that this is the list of DCS servers..
  9. :D
  10. I agree- about the backlighting. Requirement for me. I can't speak for the quality of this thing- http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-002232-Gaming-Keyboard-G110/dp/B002RRLQIO but it does appear to have a lot of custom programming space available. This could be handy for plugging in handy little items like "tab"+"R"+"T"+"F"+"M"+"enter" --- A handy little macro for those annoying people who won't get on teamspeak, but want to be trained via the chat in multiplayer.. :D Among many other items.. For $60 it needs to have some customizable ability. I would think that a regular backlit keyboard should be somewhat less... Yeah--- just with this one result- anywhere from $25 to $55. http://www.google.com/search?q=backlit+keyboards&hl=en&tbs=shop:1&aq=f Unless something has changed- I wouldn't pay any mind to descriptions crowing about USB ports on a USB powered keyboard. You'll be lucky if it can run your 3 yr old Thumb drive. If I'm wrong about this- I'm sure someone will let me know..
  11. The key setup difference- as those threads will illustrate- is that the hat clip means you are mounting the camera more or less centered on your face. Slight adjustments may be needed if your head does not stay in the center of your monitor during flight. The LED Pro clip is mounted to the side of your head- and thus the camera will usually be quite a bit off center. "You must center the camera and the reflectors" (LED or otherwise) Mimimize sunlight intrusion into the room- and be mindful of lamps, etc in the camera's view. An overhead light should not be a problem- but a lamp behind you say-- 4 to 6 feet off the floor- could easily interfere. Be mindful of reflective logos & designs on your clothing..
  12. yes- that will work fine. read these help threads I posted a while back to get your brain engaged for when it shows up. http://konkussion.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=lomac&thread=14&page=1#41 http://konkussion.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=x45&action=display&thread=76
  13. Yes- Although I criticize the Pro- I also bought one. Now- I cannot use it because I just happened to have behind the head headphones- The clip won't.. clip.. to mine. The thing about the wires- that's also me. For whatever reason- my microphone will NOT work when plugged into rear phono jacks. But- it works just peachy out front. Whatever... this leads to my caution about the wire routing and why I wish they had made it a battery device.
  14. You've been doing this 10 years without a track ir? ........ I barely lasted 10 days after leaving Nova World for the last time... Anyway- there are 2 types of clips. NP calls them "Track Clip" and "Track Clip Pro". The regular clip comes with the package- fits on the brim of any ball cap. 3 reflectors on the clip provide the tracking of yer melon. The Pro- is headphone mounted LED system. Fits most over the head headphones that I've seen. This is an accessory- not included in base Track IR package. While technically superior to reflectors- there are a couple things to keep in mind about the Pro: 1. Assembly is PISS POOR- very cheap & fragile. Be very careful handling it. 2. Pro is wired. Fine if your headset wires and your track IR wires are heading to pretty much the same place on your computer. But- for example: you plug in your headphones to your front phonojack, but your track IR connects to rear of the case-- annoyance. Why it's not a LiON battery device- you'll have to ask them that.
  15. Everyone knows this. Harmless banter while we wait.
  16. +1 on the carrier ops- but sorry- work on airfields should continue unabated...
  17. ^^ Yup. You have to do the setup in advance, but true.
  18. Won't say impossible- but tough to do with the H's for sure. Depending on a few factors- you have a little more range (time) to get off another shot using D's.. Maybe pick up an addional target with the MAV directly after a couple of TGP-based shots? You're getting closer at this stage- thus the target's improved contrast will make that cursed centroid acquisition a bit more reliable..
  19. Get teamspeak and get online. Try to make some arrangements prior to a flight time and meet up wit some folks who can help. Like on this forum for example.
  20. ? If you see an S77th server- there is a TS running, and the info is in the briefings. Or- you can one-click join right from s77th.com/forums
  21. Ahh nice. I will thanks. That roadblock piece was my primary suspect. I hit that sucka DEAD on with a LGB- AI laughter ensued. I didn't gut the older one- not even close. The units were just slightly moved. It's still nearly impossible to get near those hangars by yourself. Basically- the "no fly zone" went from a radius of about 20 miles to about 14 lol...
  22. I see.. Well- what I posted about the hosting UI is still accurate Viper.. I haven't thought this through- so go ahead and enlighten me if this is an embarassingly bad idea... but I wonder if organizing the forum so that each title has it's own set of input, MP, etc subforums would work..
  23. Huh.. On maybe 2 or 3 occasions I went to host a room. On the main page my login had been wiped- like a forum login is reset after deleting cookies. (I had not deleted cookies) Further- My "Pilot name" box has been re-set to computer default name ("Owner"), the network speed was set to default from LAN 10, and the type of server was set to LAN. The hosting page UI is what I think Distiler is referring to regarding the default value: LAN vs. Internet ...
