Madtommy- I removed a couple of units from this mission for hosting on our server- No one could get within 20 miles of the "hangars" objective. But when I exited the editor- I got a "cannot save- invalid frequency" error on the A10's. Eventually I got it to accept 255 as valid- but I was wondering if you had a better idea? We flew it again last night- and it seemed to be OK. Although I thought we'd seen more targets come up before the JTACS signed off in previous sessions...

Doesn't that kind of take the sport out of it? -
JSF- If you are "taking over" in a track or whatever than you DO have an auto pilot mode engaged. It's YOU- not the sim. This "bug" is second only to the "I can't fire missiles- only guns" issue. "Porpoising"= fighting the auto pilot every single time. Try 'A" to toggle auto pilot on or off. If hitting "A" once does not cure it- then hit it once again- and try again. One of those 2 keypresses will stop the porpoising. If it doesn't- than the only difference is that I am mistaken about the key command. Find it- and repeat. Get a stick. Keyboard flying is a joke. Keyboard inputs have almost NO ability to make fine inputs to the game within any reasonable parameter. Quite frankly- many of us can't even take a keyboard pilot seriously- and wonder if the time & effort of offering assistance is worthwhile...

Yeah. This hobby is expensive in bursts.. I have to try to block out of my mind the pace of improvements of hardware. You'll spend a fair bit of coin to get set up properly- but then you can theoretically enjoy yourself for a while.. A new simmer should not be averse to an initial investment in the $4-500 neighborhood- assuming your computer does not need any upgrades to begin with. You'll just need to try and ignore the impulse to constantly upgrade CPU's and all that.. if your $$ situation improves- well.. have at it... :joystick: I spent some bucks on my computer & gear kind of all at once- haven't really had to buy much in 2-3 years except a new Track ir. My current specs still run my stuff pretty well even after 3 years.. That said- when I do make computer upgrades- it will be a motherboard-on-out upgrade, because I already have one of the fastest chips compatible to my board. There's little to gain in my chips' family. So I'm looking at new MB, chip, RAM. If I did this now-I could get by with the GPU's I have, but I'd rather not of course.. -
Yes.. That was the Subject of the email/ Title of the video I got- not a question.

Start up procedures checklist?

Couple of interesting items in tonights session- after a repair following Strongharms procedure. I received no hydraulic errors- everything seemed good except: I was not able to bring up the DSMS after an individual DTS reload. Had to Load all to restore it. Gbu 38s would not leave the rail for reasons unknown. Everything was configured properly. DSMS status was RDY, SPI was set, Displayed MR cue. After a couple of no go runs- I quickly switched to a D Mav. and attempted to slave it to that same SPI just to verify that it was set- slewed right to it, tracked and hit with no problem. I have a really long track if you want it- but it might be faster to recreate it on your own.. Repair, rearm, refuel, reload tape...

I'm going to say "more" with a side of hysteria.

Here's my variant.. tried to list them in the order accounting for systems reliant on the APU https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OofEfpi9kHG_jmvT8Z3BXrgOD9AZzJrLgKAI-yF0-Q4/edit?hl=en&authkey=CI-D4mY# -

For this genre- flight sims- it means a lot because they tend to be small companies. (Micro$haft excepted) If they are successful it means more & better to come. On the other hand- the shooties make zillions and yet... they are all still pretty much the same... :D

Yeah- combining was OK for LOMAC up to FC 2.0.; In DCS the problem lies within the rudders & the new availability of differential toe braking. Note that axis assignments are repeated over the spread of the 3 devices. If they were combined into 1- you would NOT be able to do this. Conflict. -
You said a little over 15 didn't you? If you meant you were 30, 40 or 80 How am I supposed to know?

Alright.. let the kid be. Geez.. lol... I'll offset some of that disrep you earned Darren- but welcome to the hard hitting world of combat flight simulation. Not to be confused with "gaming" A little older & a lot of real world experts. Not your average x box discussion board..

Don't be. That's always been my "thing" getting nuggets set up, and providing a place to get the most common issues solved. My forum is best these days mostly because I had to let my website expire to the "free" version due to unemployment. I can't really update it, but it contains relevant if not dated info. It's got about 50x the content allowed under the free version, and they haven't shut it down yet... lol My site is not a sub for this one. It's just easier to find some stuff. The volume of activity on this board is a blessing & a curse. It's easy to miss things at the furious pace this board moves at...
