Thanks BIGNEWY for providing detailed Attachment Instructions. I didn't even notice your Link until after I posted (and failed to attach anything useful). Anyway, I believe THIS Post will be successful re: Attachment of Log.zip BTW - I have since managed to get into that mission (which was actually Mission 10). But I continue to have the same Crash to Desktop Issue with other missions in the same Campaign. Oddly, in Mission 10 OR 11 (both of which keep crashing my DCS), I discovered a truly unique BUG in which the "ROLL" axis for TrackIR 5 (track clip pro) is back-asswards. That is to say, that when I rolled my head left, the screen/cockpit would roll right and visa versa. I have never seen anything do that before or since, but it was consistent in that mission. I triple-checked my TrackIR and even flew a couple Single Player Missions that I created without issue. But every time I managed to get into said mission, the ROLL axis was reversed. Truly Strange. I can only believe that it was something specific to that mission. I can provide the specific mission name if it will help. It seems to me that it can only be That Mission because no other mission or situation created that problem (before or after) but it was consistent every time I managed to get into to the mission. Ultimately, I just went ahead and flew the mission, being thankful that I got in at all. Logs.zip

I have been trying to get into Mission 11 of the Deployment Campaign but every time I go to load the mission, I Crash to Desktop half way through the mission loadup. I think I have attached my Log File but not sure if it took ~~!!??

It's easy. The point is, it would be nice to have an English Manual that corresponds with the English Cockpit Buttons. Rather than having symbols and letters referenced that don't exist in the English Cockpit. Currently the English Manual shows button labels that we don't have in the English Cockpit. I'm sure this would consistent with All Languages. If you have a Chinese Cockpit, I'm sure you'd want All Chinese Manual that references Chinese in the Cockpit. I honestly wish I could read, write and speak Russian ... but I can't.

It turns out my problem is/was that I Created a new Kneeboard Folder as was required in 1.2. By removing that Folder, my Kneeboard was restored. However, now I have no idea WHERE to find the default Kneeboard Folder where I can include My Own Pages !!!! ??? I can't find it. Can someone please tell me where it is ?

I know this is an Old Thread but it appears to be a Current Topic (at least for me). IS there a fully English Manual that corresponds to the English Cockpit ? If so, where can I find it ? I'm not having any luck looking so far.

Hi again Erforce I have recently re-embarked on this Ka-50 journey and still trying to understand the detailed information you have provided. I am curious to know if you know whether this information still holds true in DCS 1.5 Open Beta or even v2 Open Alpha ?

Here is my advice for all it's worth (which really isn't much !) if you want to have success in any multi-ship flight/mission. That Advice is to STUDY the following graphically detailed explanation of how to utilize Ka-50 AI's by "Erforce". http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101175 "IF" and when you have a Clear Understanding of how to properly utilize the AI's, then this and other missions probably are "almost" a breeze. PS> I highly recommend all Ka-50 (sim) pilots save that link and commit it's information to memory. However, I admit that while I have had this link for a couple years, I "STILL" haven't got this information to sink in fully yet (or even partially). But I'm thoroughly convinced this is the secret. So it's obvious, I give good advice but fail to practice it myself .... YET !

It's a good think I have lots of hair because I'm ready to start pulling. Unfortunately, I didn't see your post explaining how to Edit and Save the Mission File. I did change it and flew it another 4 friggin' times before actually Winning. But then I was Unable to Save anything I changed and I even Deleted a long string of armor because I don't think there is enough ammo in a 4 ship flight to kill everything. At least not with the Intelligence (or lack thereof) that the Wingy's have !!! SO .. Now I have to do it all over AGAIN. Oh if only the Mission Creator could hear me swearing right now !! If I had my way, I'd ask ED/DCS to Re-Write this mission and send us a revised Campaign because this is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I have NEVER done anything so frustrating in my entire life.

@Yurgon Does editing the Start Point as you have suggested not affect the Mission Triggers with regards to moving on to the Next Mission ?

LOL I'm just giving fair warning .... hehe. It's a nightmare that only gets worse as you progress through the campaign. As mentioned, there are YouTube Videos that show how some people have completed this mission (#8) but I have tried it so many times I'm fed up with it. I just don't get it ! It is an hour long mission, most of which is just flying to the Ingress Point (IP). The rest is dodging rockets and AAA and attack helicopters. But then even the 2nd mission was challenging enough I thought. And it's not like I'm a complete newb in the BS .... but my results aren't any better. Good luck with it friend. Let us know how you make out. I'll be interested to see if it's just ME (and others who have complained about this and other missions in ED Forums) OR is this in fact, simply too hard for amateurs.

I haven't had any luck with it yet. Any time I have "supposedly" generated a mission and go into the Editor to check it out, there are NO Enemy Vehicles Anywhere. So NO ... I don't think it's working yet.

I am already almost sick to death with "Deployment" Campaign. Mission 8 "ON THE OTHER SIDE" is driving me absolutely insane. It's all I can do to keep from smashing something !! I have tried this LONG mission At LEAST 12 times now. That's 4 times even after watching several different videos. I just don't get it. I even got the enemy choppers the last 4 times I flew (now that I know where they are coming from), but I get taken out by missiles or ground fire every freaking time. It is a giant piss off when you are down to the last 5 or 6 visible vehicles (of which at least 3 are soft targets). I'm done with the Campaigns for now. My recommendation to ANYONE wishing to attempt any of the Black Shark Campaigns is to make sure you are REALLY Friggin' Good with all aspects of the BS before you embark on this insanity.

I actually don't use ANY mods in 1.5 or 2. I don't want any added variables when trying to diagnose issues. I actually got into the mission last night AND the following one (in which I got killed without completing !). Hopefully, I will be able to continue without too many more problems. It does seem to be more of a Random Crash issue for whatever reasons. Hopefully it's something DCS/ED can resolve and eliminate soon. Thanks for your replies.

It sounds like you ultimately got the mission to work somehow. Did you ? Was it a matter of random luck that it worked ?

Over the last few days, I have been flying the Ka-50 Campaign "Deployment" (for the 1st time ever). I am now on mission 6 (I think) Narzan Valley or something like that. I have tried to load the mission 6 times this morning and DCS has crashed to my desktop every time before the mission has finished loading. This has nothing to do with my system. I exceed all of the minimum requirements and meet all but one recommended (re: video card). But my video works fine (single missions, online multiplayer etc). It seem to be specific to this mission OR campaign.

I can only think of one word when I think about having this Sim/Mod ...... SHWING !!

I saw those "grey steps" swirling around my chopper. At first I thought I have my rotor lights on and they were really, really bright .. or something like that. But nope.. no lights were on except for my blindingly bright HUD (couldn't find the brightness knob) !!

Thanks kilix To be honest, I have no idea why I have never come across the "U" command before. I was just looking in the Manual again today (I have read it cover to cover a couple times and starting all over again now) and couldn't find that command. I did find a hand LIST that tells which # to put the Weapon Selection Dial (for lack of a better description) for each type of unguided rocket or dumb bombs (which I have yet to try out with the BS as well). Cool thanks. Now why couldn't I find that ? !!

The part I'm missing is HOW to select all stations ? I have "Y" and "I" (outer and inner stations) programmed on my Hotas but I don't see how you can select both at the same time. I'm guessing it is something to do with the weapon switches on the rear right panel but I don't know what those settings should be. I actually loaded 4 rocket pods (all the same) in the mission editor but that did not seem to affect my back panel settings. So I have no idea what the settings should be let alone how to select both inner and outer stations at the same time.
