  1. I completely agree that having some Actual Location Hospitals etc would be a huge improvement that will add to the realism and multitude of mission types we can create. I was looking the other day for hospitals in Las Vegas. I used Google Earth to locate all of the hospitals there. NONE of them are shown in NTTR. In fact, at least one of them doesn't even have the correct terrain map/aerial imagery. By that I mean, I thought actual satellite and/or other Mapping Imagery was used to produce NTTR and places like Las Vegas. But NOPE. One of the actual hospitals has a Helipad ... but it does not exist in NTTR. Anyway, I would really like to see at least a few of these types of structures/locations included in NTTR. Thanks to all those concerned.
  2. Drainpipe starts very early in the morning before the sun comes up. Providing you enter the server when that mission starts, the sun doesn't start coming up until you are about half way to the target area. There have been times in the past (not so sure now) when the server would get stuck on a mission which would the run into night time. But that was rare and was always dealt with as soon as it became known.
  3. You will find is that as the aircraft changes speed it also tracks differently. As such, it is necessary to continuously adjust your Rudder Trim to ensure the Ball (side-slip-indicator) remains centered. Tuning your rudder trim will be a constant necessity for smooth, efficient flight. It will also help reduce the overall tendency to roll. I hope this helps.
  4. Thanks buddy. I'm gonna take a bit of a break but hopefully be back on this evening.
  5. Hate to bother you friend .. but it's down again ! TS is working but no Server. I B Ok 4 a bit. I'll do some Huey practice.
  6. Surely I'm not the only one who ever visits this thread any more ? If anyone is looking, please note the Server & TS are both currently down. And I am in dire need of live practice !
  7. I had great difficulties setting up Default Cockpit View in Mustang (and other Mods/Aircraft) for the longest time. Turns out that not only was I using the wrong selection for Zoom (originally leaning in/out to zoom exterior views too) but also not properly turning off/disabling TrackIR while trying to set default view. Once I figured these two things out, I have been able to set default views in all Mods precisely the way I want. BTW- It seems basically necessary to customize default view in Mustang ... unless you like zooming in on the No Hand Hold as opposed to the HUD !!
  8. Hi Friends. Sorry I haven't been around to have fun with y'all. I've been suffering the dag gum swine flu (or whatever kind it is) and on day 14 now. On the bright side (if there is any) I have almost quite smoking [cigarettes]. To top it all off, I have been given keys to my first new residence in 14 winters ... so I start the move this coming weekend and not sure about the interwebs connection until they hook it up. So I might not be on for another week yet .. possibly. Finally, I'm hoping I can be forgiven for missing this month's, monthly donation. I'm definitely on a tight budget this month. Anyway, y'all continue to have fun without me .. hehe ! I'll be back ... soon enough. SnowTiger Out !
  9. I have read many posts from Blooze. He obviously was a very knowledgeable member. I wish for him to have Eternal Flight ! My deepest condolences to all his friends and family.
  10. It appears that there is still an issue. I have tried the new TS IP but the DoW Website and TS itself, still indicate it's not working. Must be one of those days !! PS> I haven't seen the MP Server up yet today either (haven't checked in last 30 mins though).
  11. Attention Admin(s) >> Looks like the Server isn't being listed in the MP Server List again. I am in the server but 2 others tried to connect and couldn't find the server nor could they connect via Server IP. BTW- I'd like to speak to an Admin about an incident today which occurred between 11am and 11:30am Eastern TZ during Loose Lips.
  12. Okay... WOW.. That's interesting. I don't think that is what is happening on my end but I intend to take a look to be sure.
  13. Modern Tanks !! Good Point. However, I used to kill the very same tank(s) in the same mission prior to 1.5 (or one of 1.5's updates maybe ?). It might even be something in the ME end of things for all I know. In any case, thanks for the reply.
  14. @NeilWillis >> The time doesn't seem to stop them from doing a complete skin overhaul, new landing gear and cockpit and yes, engine rebuild too. @SiThSpAwn >> Thank you. I appreciate that you will report it. I think it is something that has been overlooked. It wouldn't be much of an issue if the Throttle didn't seem to be so "loose" or difficult to fine tune as it is before using WEP. A new aircraft certainly does eliminate the issue, but who wants to do that ? Thanks again friend.
  15. Yup .. Yer Right Yup yer right Solty I actually meant Incendiary ... Not HE. But the fact remains, our current rounds don't seem to have nearly the affect they should have. Especially when witnessing umpteen videos that show kills that usually happen within a few seconds. Not after dumping our entire loadout into an enemy aircraft, while pieces are flying off and smoke from hits and oil smoke etc etc. My point is that it seems to take WAY MORE hits in DCS than in reality. That's just my observation.
  16. I noticed in the video Cheyenne included that the Mustang's rounds are in fact HE Rounds and they do Significantly More Damage than the DCS Mustang rounds do. I truly with DCS would do something about this because currently it takes WAY Too Many hits to do anything to the German Planes. That video is PROOF !~
  17. Like d0o0m, my throttle is all the way back/off and my RPM control is all the way forward and the Fuel Mixture control set to Idle Cutoff. All necessary switches on (fuel, power, magneto's etc etc) I hold the Primer for about 4 or 5 seconds then release it and start cranking the engine over. The first revolution of the Prop is pretty slow, however it's second and successive revolutions are much faster. As soon as the Prop Revs pick up and while still cranking the engine, I then press and hold the Primer Switch again until the engine fires and Starts. I immediately move the Fuel Mixture knob to RUN and THEN move my Throttles ahead and Inch or so ..... and voila ... ready to go. PS> I don't know if it's normal or natural or not, but if you warm up your engine with a higher Manifold Pressure , do NOT pull the throttle all the way back too quickly to start moving. Instead SLOWLY move the throttle back. I have noticed on several occasions where moving the throttle back to a lower Manifold Pressure too quickly in order to release brakes and start moving, that the Engine actually Stalls and is now very difficult to restart. Furthermore, the backfires we now experience (engine/manifold "popping") may damage the engine.
  18. My question is ... Does the Delayed Fuse on Rockets have any benefits ? Lately, I'm having problems killing tanks (at least in some missions) where 2 rockets usually does the trick. Now 16 rockets (yes .. 10 hits in first flight and 6 in next flight) and the tank wasn't even phased !! I tried the Delayed Fuse thinking this was necessary to penetrate the hull and then explode inside the tank ... NOPE .. didley squat !
  19. I do hope DCS will consider correcting this issue some time soon.
  20. It is possible that what you are experiencing may be natural (although not feel that way !). When you are trimmed for straight, smooth flight, the Mustang's natural tendency may be to climb because the flight control surfaces are optimized. OR ... it may simply be that the Mustang still needs a TON OF WORK !
  21. I had the exact same issue using TrackIR in Ka-50 BS while flying Mission 10 of the Deployment Campaign. The Roll Axis was backwards. When I rolled my head left, the cockpit (view) would roll as if I were leaning/rolling right and visa-versa. Very Confusing. I thought it was specifically the mission itself (somehow). I certainly didn't notice it any other time. However, I was stuck on that mission for a bit !
  22. I guess it's (currently) safe to say there will NOT be a Sunday Night brewhaha (unless the server and TS are fixed) ?? I will continue to look to see if the server and/or TS are up and running, prior to 5pm Eastern, just in case it gets fixed. PS> I realize that the vast majority of issues are due to DCS Issues (i.e. out of our control). However, it appears you guys have been spending not only allot of time trying to keep things working but also on Parts. I'm wondering if it would be worth while to try to start a little "Donation Contribution Campaign" to help assist with those additional costs ? I will PM someone from the DoW Website/Forum to inquire about this idea. Hope to see y'all later today.
  23. If anyone has a chance to look, the Server has been down most of the day (that I've noticed anyway). Thanks as always.
  24. There always has to be some "give or take" !!
