  1. I know this is an Old Thread but I have a New Related Question. After reading this thread, I now understand that things will be configured properly providing the weapons load-out is selected during mission creation. But I am trying to figure out how, when you have 80 S-8 Rockets, does one select ALL Stations as seen at 00:25 seconds into the following video ? I cannot figure out how he selected all 4 stations ? I'm guessing this can only be done when all 4 stations hold the same weapons.
  2. I should have mentioned that the spitting and sputtering and explosion sounds I hear is when following the missile in F6 or Ctrl+F6 (or is it Shift ?). Next time you are in the BS, fire a Vikhrs and watch in F6 view to hear the sounds I'm speaking of. Maybe it is just me and this is the way things should sound. I just don't remember it like this that's all.
  3. I just downloaded the updated mission files. Hopefully this WILL work in 1.5 (and 2 when it's finished). By the time 2 is out in full version, I might have gotten around to actually flying Vergeev Group Campaign. Thanks for reminding me of this Campaign. But I'm still curious of the Chronological Order of the rest of the Campaigns ESPECIALLY with regards to Georgian Oil War and Chapters 1, 2 and 3 ?? What's up with that ?
  4. I would LOVE to include Vergeev Group Campaign but as I recall, it had 2 or 3 missions that failed to work in 1.2 so I never copied that Campaign over to 1.5. Last I heard, someone had mentioned they were going to try to fix those few missions. I never heard if that had ever been done. But from what I recall of it, it was a really well put together Campaign that I hope we can include in the list sometime soon (I think the Original Developer of that Campaign released Rights to someone else to fix/complete it or something). I'm going on Memory and/or Rumor ... so don't take anything I say with any confidence.
  5. So I wonder what the heck is going on with mine. After posting my original post, I looked and discovered that I did in fact actually already Copy my Kneeboard Folder over from DCS 1.2 (which holds custom kneeboard pages for all Mods). I wonder if this is why I'm having the problem ? I guess one way to find out is to Delete that Folder. But then ... how to I add custom pages ? I'll check it out and report back.
  6. I actually just started each Campaign and read the Campaign Description for each. That said, I have just figured out which one I started on years ago (as mentioned above). It is obvious to me now that it was the Campaign titled "Deployment". So I'll go ahead and "take a run" at that one for now. However, if anyone has any suggestions for which I ought to take on Next OR to point out that there IS a Chronological Order to the Campaigns, I'd still gladly hear those replies. I'm sure there are others out there that would also benefit from this information. Thanks again.
  7. Although I started my DCS experience with the Black Shark (1) about 6 years ago, I only flew for about a month and then was away from DCS until a year ago. I have only gotten back into BS2 over the last 2 weeks and now want to start taking on the Campaigns (including the DLC Campaign I recently purchased). My question is: In what Order should I be doing the Campaigns ? I have the following Campaigns in my List but I have no idea which order they were meant to be flown in (or challenged). Deployment Georgian Oil War Oil War - Chapters 1, 2 and 3 Operation Medvedev II and, Republic Furthermore, I don't understand why there is a Georgian Oil War and then 3 Chapters which by title alone, appear to be the same thing ??!!! PS> I recall starting a Campaign (all those years ago) where the first flight was just a fly-around to become familiar with the battle area. But I have no idea which Campaign that was, nor do I know if I should have started with that Campaign or another. Obviously, I am a newb so I don't want to get tossed into a real nightmare Campaign/Missions yet. Could someone please provide me with some insight to this question ? Thanks in Advance.
  8. No Taker's on this topic eh ? !!
  9. "Copy That" Thanks again. SnowTiger Out !
  10. Thanks dooom Much appreciated.
  11. I apologize in advance if this has already been reported and/or addressed. I could not find anything to do with this topic anywhere (Searched ALL Forums). I have created a simple Single Player Mission in DCS 1.5 Open Beta for BS2. In both the Main DCS World Options and in my Mission Options, I have F10 view options checked (i.e. Turned ON). In the mission, I have selected "Fog of War" but it does not seem to be working. I have the Enemy Vehicles Hidden (mission editor). When I find the enemy using the Shkval (and sometimes mark their positions), should this not now show those found enemies on the F10 Map ? OR do we actually have to fly over the target .. which ends the mission because I get killed !! OR must we fly within a specified distance of the enemy for them to be "found" on the F10 Map ? If it's any of the latter, it's useless. It seems to me that if you find them (either close enough to eye-ball them) or if you scan and/or lock'em up, that this should be considered "Found/Located" and therefore they should now be visible in F10 until they are killed. So far, I have yet to see ANY Enemies on the F10 Map no matter what I do, including flying right over them until they kill me .. which takes only a few seconds ! Please > Any incite into this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
  12. Thanks dburne I was under the impression (don't know why ?) that unlike DCS 1.2, when we made selections in the Options, we no longer had to exit out of DCS and re-enter before changes would take hold. Obviously this is not true, or at least not true for all changes. As you suggest, it's probably always better to Exit and Re-Enter after and/all changes in the Options to be sure they take hold. Thanks again and Happy Flying
  13. It has been a long time since I flew the Black Shark (2) and now I am flying it in DCS 1.5 Open Beta. It seems to me that the Vikhrs don't sound right. They seem to "spit and sputter" much of the way towards their Target and then the Explosion is pretty lack luster at best. While I cannot remember what the Vikhrs used to sound like in DCS 1.2, I'm fairly confident that the Explosion was Much More of a BOOM rather than a pppfffftt pop ! Is it just me OR is there still something with the BS2 and sounds in DCS 1.5 Open Beta ? If it's the latter, is DCS/ED aware of this and do they intent to do anything about it ?
  14. Okay... I take it back ... MY BAD ! Last night I went into the Options/GUI and re-selected Default (re: Language) and then exited DCS. Then I went back in and re-selected English (again) and then exited DCS again. This time everything changed to English as it should. I'm thankful ... if not a tad bit embarrassed.
  15. Thanks snowsniper I will give that a try.
  16. I loved both Jane's Longbow 1 and 2. Me and an online friend from the USA flew MANY 18 hour days over the course of about 1.5 years. I still have the install disk(s) and Manuals and the parts to construct a Windows 95 PC. I have mulled this idea over MANY times .... I continue to procrastinate ! But the dream is still fresh !
  17. I don't know about you folks, but I'd be more than willing to pay an Annual "Maintenance Fee" for continuous maintenance and upkeep, upgrades, fixes and patches etc. I can imagine that it's hard to find incentive to continue to Fix/Repair software issues for Mods that were released years previously. But Mods like BS2 are too much fun for me to see them go down the tubes. DCS/ED I hope you consider this idea (re: Annual Maintenance Fee). Think about it. This might be a viable solution that I'd bet most of us would gladly consider, especially if it was only $5 annually for each Mod that exceeds "X" number of years since its release. OR even a flat $10 (for example) to upgrade ALL of our mods. This could be a good way to ensure everyone is happy ... without DCS going broke in the process. Just a Thought !
  18. I can't get the kneeboard to show anything except a black screen with instructions to "install/replace batteries" (paraphrased) !!! There are no map pages at all. Is it just me or is this something yet to be dealt with in 1.5 Open Beta ? OR do I need to create my own Kneeboard Folder and put in my own map pages ... somehow ?
  19. It seems to me that the English/Russian gauges IS a bug. I do have mine set on English in the Options/GUI and almost everything in the cockpit is English, but as suggested by others, the Ekran and Abris remain in Russian !! And believe me ... I have tried both the default (which is Russian) and English .... which is both. It's a Bug.
  20. I am trying to create a very simple mission that utilizes Text Messages (Message to All) at specific times. The problem I am having is that regardless that each message has it's own Trigger/Flag #, they all show up at the beginning of the mission. Furthermore the latter messages are shown before that which should be the first message (incorrect order). How to correct/eliminate this issue ? PS> If need be, I can upload the mission file which currently only has 2 messages !
  21. Thank You
  22. Will this mission work in either 1.5 OpenBeta ? And if so, do we need to re-save it in 1.5 to make it work correctly ? I know it won't in v2 because it's a different map, but I wanted to ask about 1.5 before trying it.
  23. Thanks for the reply cichlidfan. In fact, I have triple checked the Options to make sure nothing was set up. I even tried the Throttle Axis setting with my Saitek Profile (using Bands for the thumb wheel) and I tried it without the Saitek Profile. Finally, I cleared the DCS Options for Throttle (which I had set up to test) and I eliminated my Saitek Profile. This is the ONLY configuration that resulted in a properly working throttle using only the Keyboard Commands "PageUP" and "PageDown". Previously, my Saitek Profile Bands controlled these two keyboard commands. I never had this issue (Throttle "seemingly" Linked to Collective) in DCS 1.2.16, only in 1.5 and 2. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter to me if I have to use the Keyboard for this function. The only time you use the Throttle is when you starting up and shutting down (at least that I know of) because of the way the Huey's Throttle works. It's always at full throttle and there is a switch to increase/decrease the throttle a slight amount which I do still have programmed on my Hotas. Thanks again guys. I don't think this is worth reporting to Belsimtek or DCS yet. I'll wait to see if future updates have any affect OR if/when other problems arise.
  24. I wish it were that easy. In fact, I have the collective run only by my Saitek Profile software. Because I have to use Bands to allow any Rotary to do anything, there is Nothing programmed in DCS Options for the Throttle. Only the Collective and it uses only 1 axis (X-55 split throttle as a single). This is a DCS issue as far as I can tell. Plus this issue never existed in 1.2.16
  25. I have been flying the Huey since it came out. I love it. I use the X-55 Rhino Hotas. Since v1.5 and v2, I have been having a serious issue with my Throttle. I have the throttle linked to my Thumb (underside) Wheel/Rotary. When I Increase Collective, the Throttle moves (in-game ... not my rotary) making the Huey lose power .. not a good thing ! I have a Dead Zone in the Band I created to control the Throttle in the Saitek Profiler. But in v1.5 , I have to keep the throttle rotary advanced towards the throttle-up position to prevent it from moving during flight/collective adjustments. In v.2 this does not seem to help. In fact, in v.2 the Throttle Fluctuates dramatically when I move the collective BUT the twist throttle does NOT move (in-game). It just acts like it ought to be moving. Anyone else having this issue ? Anyone got a solution for me ? Thanks in Advance.
