  1. To my understandning that is correct - at least currently.
  2. Well tried it with Open VR Steam VR and the kneeboard pages are still just a garbled mess. They have literally became useless for me - both those created in Open Kneeboard and Kneeboard Builder. No one else having an issue with custom kneeboard pages displaying properly? Going to be hard for me to fly DCS when I can not reference my custom kneeboard pages.
  3. Mine seems to have been working fine - however have not had a need to go into any menu items either.
  4. No most people decide which threads to read by perusing them on the first page. They look for ones that interest them, not necessarily through the search function. Or i guess I could be the only one who does.
  5. Fully agree, has been driving me a bit nuts. Some very valuable threads going to get lost in the mess.
  6. On second thought I am wondering if it has anything to do with my running in Open XR now along with DFR/eye tracking with my Aero. I will have to check it out later, test it in Steam VR and see if the kneeboard is legible then.
  7. Hey gang, I am putting this here as it relates to my using a Kneeboard in VR. One thing I like to do is put procedures in there, for instance cold start procedure, for refering whilst in my headset. Or how to program a specific bomb. I have been using Kneeboard Builder in the past with good success. I also had started using OpenKneeboard as well with success. Now all of a sudden everthing is garbled - by everythign I mean all the text in the kneeboard that I put in is gargled and recognizable. And it appears the same in both Kneeboard Builder and OpenKneeboard. Anyone else run across anything like this and have any idea what might have occurred to cause it? Any tips appreciated as I really need it to function during my learning process and being able to reference to it in VR.
  8. Only the Open Beta currently has the MT support. Not the stable version. And if you are running that with an Aero it would be a crime not to run with DFR/eye tracking as it gains so much in performance and of course the Aero already having the eye tracking. Trust me DCS Beta with DFR/eye tracking in Open XR is da bomb! https://github.com/mbucchia/Varjo-Foveated/wiki If you are only willing to run the DCS stable branch then you will need to wait a bit on the DFR/eye tracking feature to propogate to it.
  9. A word of caution - don't get too enamored with Open XR and using the Open XR Toolkit. DCS has native Oculus support, suggest you begin with that rather than adding more compexities to the equation as you get started. Then later on down the road as you gain experience you can start to play with other runtimes should you wish. I personally always felt the Oculus runtime was very good.

  11. Ok cause I was going to say that looked pretty dang smooth to me. Probably a clue in there being that it did not show on video. Other Oculus users hopefully can help you, I have not run their headsets in a while now. Undoubtedly it is in the settings somewhere, likely in compression settings for the Quest PC-VR link. Edit: You might also try the Quest Discord probably not too many Quest Pro users on these forums yet.
  12. Are you saying that video you just posted above shows a lot of stuttering that you are having?
  13. ASW = Oculus Motion Reprojection. If you haved Oculus headset that is way to go.
  14. Congrats! It is a wonderful thing, you are experiencing the same as I did when I added the DFR with eye tracking for my Aero and DCS-MT. I am still blown away every time when I strap myself in for a day of flying.
  15. Why? I run DCS MT in my Aero with Open XR. I thought MT was agnostic to VR devices.
  16. Ok so everything still working great as I had it for DFR with eye tracking. Today's DCS update did not affect it. Performance "may" have improved a little with this patch, hard to say really as I was already geting great performance.
  17. Using Open XR runtime for DCS is still pretty new for them. I am sure they will continue to improve it as time goes on. But yeah definitely we should make our wishes known to them. Are you guys saying those items you can no longer use also do not work in Steam VR's Open XR runtime?
  18. Here is to hoping today's patch does not affect our quad screen ability with the Aero and DFR with the eye tracking.
  19. Yep Mosquito is the one I am currently learning, and using the MT version. Outside is quite bright, in cockpit is pretty dark.
  20. Is that why my cockpits seem so dark?
  21. Ah man, was really hoping for this.
  22. It is just a little over 2 years old. I think you would be safe. They just fairly recently updated the Stick to a CM3, and currently seems to be working on an Apache Collecive/Grip. But one never knows. You could always look at adding one of the Control Panels to your setup if you are just wanting some additional buttons/axis. It is all I can do to keep up with the ones on my stick and throttle lol.
  23. I tend to be hesitant these days in singing praises too loudly for a particular device, especially one as expensive as the Aero. I will say this from my experience - coming from Rift, Rift S, Index, Reverb G2, and Vive Pro 2. The Aero especially with now it's Dynamic Foveated Rendering with eye tracking in DCS blows them all away - by far. IMHO of course. The performance I am getting now with my Aero in DCS would have been unheard of a couple of months ago. And most of my gaming is in DCS. I do have some bias though - I will never spend a dime on anything Pimax. I have loathed them from the start in how they market their products and how they never seem to deliver what all they promise and certainly never in the time frame they promise. So in my case when considering headsets, Pimax will never be on my list. I do give them credit for still being in the run though, the more that are the better for VR overall.
  24. Yes with @mbucchia software DFR with eye tracking works beautifully in DCS with the Aero. My performance went way up. https://github.com/mbucchia/Varjo-Foveated/wiki I believe currently it only works with the Open Beta.
