  1. More details on the new EU facility: https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/16348-virpil-eu-new-factory-and-distribution-center/
  2. I love it all - jets, choppers, and WWII. Really looking forward to the upcoming Normandy 2 Map.
  3. https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/16301-virpil-eu-mongoost-50cm3-throttle-flash-sale/ I can attest this is one very sweet throttle. Been using mine over 2 years now and love it.
  4. Really? I would think the new DCS Multithreading feature is independent of any VR headsets or runtimes. From the Multi Threading FAQ: Full MT FAQ here
  5. Yep it must be as surely we know they have already previously stated the next new product will be the much anticipated and long awaited TECS throttle.
  6. Hate to hear this - was hoping it would be yet another good option for PC-VR which would be good for VR overall, but sounds like as far as at least PC-VR it may be a big fail.
  7. Getting great results with both vsync and motion smoothing off. I am at 90 fps much more of the time. Flew the Persian Gulf cold start mission in Hornet, once on catapult for takeoff I hit 90 fps. Stayed 90 throughout entire flight, even over towns. I also flew a campaign mission in the Spitfire on Normandy map. It is more demanding - I think it is primarily the map, but was at 90 fps much of the time and it never really dropped below 70 in some places. All very smooth with a very occasional frametime hiccup - not enough to be a deal breaker though. Seems vsync and motion smoothing comes with a slight performance penalty. Still playing with default DFR numbers. May try adjusting them again some next but I am pretty happy where it is now.
  8. You can also assign it to button on HOTAS for toggling on and off as needed.
  9. Interesting I was using Motion Smoothing and 37 PPD. May try it again tomorrow (reducing periphery) without Motion Smoothing and see how it does.
  10. Well I tried changing the numbers for focus and peripheral but ended up wtih some instability - DCS crashing to desktop upon trying to launch or freezing up when launching and having to close with task manager. Went back to original settings and all is well again - reckon I will leave it there. Still looks great and the performance gain was quite nice.
  11. Guys leave PD in DCS at 1. Just work with the focus and peripherary resolutions in Varjo Foveated. By default they are each at 1. Try increasing focus whilst decreasing periphery to keep performance. Start out with your Varjo Base resolution you wish to use ( I use very high). And then work the DFR from there. Really no reason to throw DCS PD into the mix, let the Varjo software handle it.
  12. PSVR is for a Play Station - a console - not a Windows PC.
  13. I have certainly been extremely pleased with DFR along with eye tracking in DCS with my Aero. Now my understanding is an update to DCS Open Beta when it comes will not affect anything right? Will be no need to do a repair or reinstall of anything?
  14. Try as I might I just can not see it. I guess I am fortunate in that regard.
  15. So today I gave the Motion Reprojection set at automatic a try - seems to work a lot better than it used to. Course it helps that I am at 90 fps far more than I used to be also. It is just incredible how far DCS has come in the last few weeks in VR especially with the Varjo headsets.
  16. Strange can't say I have seen that. I just left my settings for the DFR at default as well.
  17. IMHO small price to pay for what we get with DFR and eye tracking.
  18. Hmm been running mine at default settings - just had a look and both my periphery and focus are set to 1. Hesitant to change that as it runs so well and I can not tell where focus ends and periphery begins.
  19. Interesting , as I am at 90 fps the bulk of the time I do not have vsync nor motion smoothing enabled. Last time I tried it with the Aero I was just not that impressed. May have a look at it tomorrow to see how it is with DFR now. But again I like being at 90 fps the bulk of the time and I think Motion Smoothing will drop that to 45 most if not all the time.
  20. If I am not mistaken turbo mode is on by default for the DFR. Saw it listed in the log file for it. Currently can not use the OXRTK with FDR. The Toolkit needs to be either disabled or uninstalled to use DFR. The below was taken from my foveated log file: " Found option 'turbo_mode=1' "
  21. One thing is for sure - Dynamic Foveated Rendering with Eye Tracking in the Aero with DCS = pure bliss.
  22. Just tried it for the first time and was completely blown away. Flew the Hornet off the Supercarrier in Persian Gulf cold start mission, once I got to catapult my fps went up to 90 fps and stayed there the entire flight! And this with most graphics maxed out. I could hardly believe it! This is with Varjo Base set to Very High on resolution.
